The location is very quiet just off highway 16 on the farthest West side of Hinton.. Walking across the street there are street there are grocery stores and restaurants.. The Front staff were always friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean with a Mini fridge and microwave. The noise does travel very easily between between floors and rooms. Try to get a room farthest away from the front desk. Breakfast was typical eggs, meat, potatoes, waffles, yogurt, cereal.. Quality was just average. However, they have a full time staff dedicated on keeping the Breakfast area fully stocked and clean which was appreciative as many people and crews were coming and going and it was nice to have everything filled and cleaned. Is hot tub and pool are still not open

The good:
All of the staff were incredible. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast room to the housekeeping were always helpful and friendly.

The room was spotless and everything we could have needed was there. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure.

Fresh coffee was available in the lobby throughout the day.

The bad:
The building obviously went up during the boom years when speed was more important than quality. Little issues like caulking cracked around the tub/shower, rusting on the towel rack and cracks in the sink show that the quality could have been better. There also is not a lot of soundproofing between the suites or the floors because we heard everything from the hallway and around & above us. We travel with a white noise machine, but without it, the noise could have become a problem. Not the fault of the management, and I’m sure they are aware of it, but it does bring that first impression of a new hotel down a few notches.

There are signs around the building asking guests not to back into the stalls, but this is not enforced. We discovered it the hard way when two large pickup trucks were idling outside our window and we woke to a strong smell of vehicle exhaust in our room. We all woke with headaches and sore throats. When we talked to the front desk they said they don’t have staff to enforce it. This might not be an issue is the higher floors, but if you are on the ground floor, be prepared to smell exhaust fumes.

Overall, I would stay here again, but only if I didn’t have pets with me and could be on a higher floor.

all was fairly quiet (except for the heaters kicking in and out). the room was clean, but the beds were hard, very hard, and while they provided 3 pillows per bed, they looked fluffy but went down flat when you laid on them. i had a very hard time falling asleep as my neck kept pinching with pain (just something to keep in mind)

staff were all friendly, and i made a request to stay at the back side top floor of the hotel which they were able to honor for me so i had a great view. breakfast was included, it was good but nothing spectacular (will fill you up though, a decent assortment)

Bathroom wasn’t cleaned from previous guest ; dirty towels, hair in toilet bathtub. Staff did not apologize when informed, and thankfully gave us a new set of towels. Staff argued with us when we told them housekeeping had entered the room even with a do not disturb sign on the door. We were told that their staff know better and it was our own fault that the sign wasn’t on the door. All 3 members of our family had checked that the sign was on before we left, and it had been placed back in the room when we arrived later in the day. Even with the staff entering the room, the garbage had not been removed from the counters or desk, bathroom had not been wiped down and personal items were moved around the room in order to make the bed. As someone who works in the hotel industry, this behaviour was not acceptable.

Arrived to find out that Pool and hot tub were closed, not a big deal if there would have been a notice of this during booking, once we arrived we were on the first floor and by 6 o'clock you would have thought you were in a kennel by the amount of dogs that were barking non stop, I switched rooms and was now on the 2nd floor, what do you know, more freaking dogs barking. I have no issue with hotels having pet friendly rooms but why not keep them in one area or one floor not everyone are pet people. Come the morning to check out ( 11AM) housekeeping knocks on my door at 9, seriously? and when I said we were OK that we didn't need the room cleaned , we had 4 room attendants stand outside our room for the next 30 minutes having a very loud conversation, they may have been sitting in the room with us. The breakfast was sausage, scrambled eggs and hash browns, that they gave you to take to your room due to Covid protocols, the so called sausage was inedible and the rest was cold even before heading to the room, the good thing is that McDonald's is only a block away so my 9 year old was happy. The good points are that the room seemed clean and the Front desk were friendly.

This hotel is a great choice to live in Hinton: location is close to Jasper National Park, and great value in money. It has very good room service, the front dest gentlemen are very helpful and always willing to provide any assistance. The rooms with a queen size bed and a sofa bed is very good for a family of four people.

This is a great place to stay, close to shops and restaurants yet on the edge of town. The room was clean and the service was friendly. There is a good selection of breakfast items in the morning eating area. I have a couple suggestions. Get rid of the frayed towels ( not all were like that, but some were). To the breakfast staff trying to unclog the waffle maker - please don't stick your ungloved finger in the extruder - it looks unsanitary an is unappetizing!

The Wyndham telephone agent insisted repeatedly there were two beds in the room. Not true. One was a bed. The other was a sofabed. Both were old and not even close to flat. The hot food in the breakfast was limited and so unappealing that I couldn’t convince myself to even try it. $275 spent and a sore back later, I can confidently say I won’t be back.

We stayed at the Ramada hotel in Hinton on March 2nd. We arrived at 4pm and were checked out by 7. We chose this hotel because the reviews signalled that it was family friendly, has a pool, laundry and hot breakfast. Upon arrival there was an error on the booking that didn’t include my husband and our children. Once we got that sorted I asked if we could have a room on the top floor facing the mountains. We are from Ontario and heading to BC my husband and our children hadn’t ever seen mountains and we wanted to enjoy the view. The hotel receptionist was not thrilled and said “we don’t put people with kids on the top floor. We don’t need noise complaints.” I really felt like our family was being treated more like an inconvenience than a welcomed guest. I didn’t feel it was fair that we don’t get to have any preference to our room because we have kids. we had been travelling all day with young kids and needed somewhere to lay our heads for the night. After getting the children settled I headed to the front desk to find out about laundry so we could have fresh clothes for the morning as we had been travelling for 5 days we were low on clean laundry. However the same receptionist who checked us in informed us that we couldn’t do laundry as they had no laundry cards and she couldn’t help me at all. The pool was a great way for my kids to burn off energy and we enjoyed a soak in the hot tub to ease our stiff muscles after the long drive. The jets were not functioning on the hot tub but it was still nice and warm. When we went to check out we had discovered that the receptionist had added a 20$ charge because of our kids. Luckily the receptionist in the morning was sympathetic and removed the 20$ charge. She was disheartened to hear about our experience.i do not get a family friendly feel from this hotel. All of our kids were in bed asleep by 830-9pm they weren’t overly rambunctious as me and my girls went for a hike and to do some local shopping after checking In and then we all hit the pool. All in all our family leaves the Ramada in Hinton feeling like we are unvalued guests and discriminated against for having a family. We were hoping to Find a lovely hotel to spend during our annual trips out west. Instead I’m leaving saddened my our experience and feeling inadequate.

We always stay at this property. It is clean and offers a lot of value for what we pay. We have never been disappointed and have enjoyed every stay we have had there! The beds are super comfortable and the room was as well. We enjoyed the yummy breakfasts that were great to start our days. The staff cleaned the rooms so well and the beds always felt fresh and comfortable.
