The Days Inn made for an acceptable one night stay. The beds were comfortable, the property is pet friendly, and the room rate fit the budget. Like many reviewers staying in Jasper was more pricey than we were willing to entertain.
We arrived around 8PM to a friendly and efficient welcome. There are plexiglass screens up at reception and people are masking. (It's early September 2020 and we're still in the COVID-19 era.) There is no breakfast and a posted notice says that room rates have been adjusted accordingly. The desk attendant is aware we have a pet as I called earlier to confirm we have a ground floor room. We are given the swipe cards for a room near the back entrance.
The decor is dated but remains functional. A particular anachronism is the HVAC controls as these hearken back to analog dial controls where you get to guess at a temperature setting. That is, no digital temperature read out here. Mercifully the unit wasn't loud as I feared it might be.
Overall, the Days Inn in Hinton is consistent with a budget/mid-tier property. Our stay was comfortable enough and the amenities are about what you'd expect for the money paid. The biggest disappointment for me is the lack of counter space in the bathroom.
I expect we'd be okay staying here again if we had the dog with us. Otherwise, I'd be tempted to evaluate some of the newer properties nearby.

It was good but needs lot of inexpensive improvements. Facilities were cleaned. Front staff members were good. There should be more vegetarian breakfast option. Small changes can give better look and facilities to customers.

Hotel was clean and rooms were big. We had a problem with the toilet when it went overflowing quickly flooding even the carpet in our room. We called the front desk and he quickly came. I cut off the water supply via the tank and used the towels to absorb the water as it really flooded very quickly. The desk clerk then offered us a new room to stay for the night but we asked if we can just leave our stuff in our old room as we were dead tired from our excursions this day in Jasper. It was fine with him. The next day as we went back to the old room, the maintenance guy was also there. His name was Ed or Eddie . He was all rude and all! He was the worst experience of our stay here. He should be trained how to deal with guests. He was blaming us for the incident in the toilet as if we wanted to stress our tired selves with a flooded bathroom and room. He was also commenting to us that now he had to clean up the mess and that it’s gross! He was even ranting that now he have to change the carpet because it got soaked. I then asked him to leave us for a few moments just so we could pack up the remaining stuff in our room. He doesn’t even have the decency to provide us privacy knowing we were already in the room. Even commenting that we should have vacated the room already so we would not be on his way doing his job. I explained to hike we were all tired the evening the incident happens and had no energy left to get our stuff and we just slept at the new room as advised by the desk clerk. So I don’t really understand his Ed/Eddy’s unnecessary comments. He was even blaming us that we haven’t done anything that’s why the floor was so soaked even we already explained that we acted swiftly on our part because we done want our stuff to get wet too. We informed the desk clerk on the day of our check out. His name was Wil. I greatly commend him for his professionalism in handling the situation. He was more than happy to help and felt terribly sorry for the flooded bathroom and rude maintenance guy.

We were very happy with our stay here. The desk clerk was very friendly and cheerful. We had been assigned a 2nd floor room, but my husband has trouble with stairs and there is no elevator. The desk clerk was able to switch us to a first floor room and we were very grateful for the extra effort he took to accommodate us. The room was very spacious, nicely decorated and clean. The free breakfast was excellent. It consisted of eggs, breakfast meat, fruit, cereal, yogurt and pastries. The breakfast room was well stocked, clean and had plenty of seating. My only complaint is that there was only one chair in the room, so one of us had to sit on the bed to read/watch TV. A second chair would have been much appreciated.

I have no complaints, it was all as expected. The room was a good size, comfortable and the service very friendly, helpful. I was able to use the breakfast room for a zoom call (45 min business meeting) in late afternoon which I appreciated.

We have 4 priorities when we stay in a hotel: clean, quiet, handicap friendly and breakfast. This place was clean, the structural design made it noisy, although the guests were not, the bathroom it is NOT handicap friendly, and they lied about providing a modified continental breakfast. When we phoned to make out reservation, we purposefully asked about the breakfast more than once and we were assured that even with covid, a modified continental breakfast would be provided like boxed cereals, little milks, muffins. Once we checked in, we were told that they do NOT provide breakfast at all because of covid. I tried to tell the desk clerk that we were told there would be breakfast, she rudely cut me off and told me there was no breakfast because of the covid rules. There were warning signs about "no abuse will be tolerated" right beside the information signage that there was no breakfast. Hmmm... The room was a bit noisy with transfer movement from the hallway and the room above us = walking, voices, suitcase rolling, doors shutting. I used a sleeping pill and earplugs and slept. The bed is comfortable. The toilet was the height used in elementary schools. I am handicapped and there were no rails to hang onto to get down to that level. It was painful and dangerous. If you use any assistance like a cane, walker, or wheelchair, do NOT stay here.

First we booked a Efficiency room and upon arrival we were informed that we could not have a pet in that room. We phoned to make sure and was not old this. So we were giving a down graded room and of course no refund of the money for the different room rate. WHY? I paid for a premium room get a lower class room and no refund of difference? Secondly this hotel needs work. Staff (besides housekeeping) are rude. Very noisy rooms and hallways. Beds are so/so. No social distancing what so ever. Days Inn use to be decent but this motel makes Motel 6 look great. Yes that bad.

I'll be as detailed as possible. Everything in the room was quite old and some were broken, for example the air conditioner. There was no sign of maintenance. When I first entered the bathroom, I saw stains on the toilet seat. I had to clean the toilet before sitting on it. The air conditioner made an unbearable noise and we had to cover our ears to sleep. It broke down an hour before checkout. The coffee machine was very old and too slow to brew a single cup. The breakfast service was infuriating. The staff did not pay attention if refills for the food were needed. We had to look them up and tell them we ran out of eggs or bread. This was in no way worth 200 dollars a night. Overall, it was a very sad excuse of a hotel.
