This place incredible! We were traveling in the area and found this place last minute. Originally we had book elsewhere but we cancelled that reservation and immediately got a 2 bedroom one bath unit at Blackstone. There was a full kitchen, living space and 2 bathrooms. Washer and dryer was a bonus and we were thrilled to be able to wash some of the things that really needed due to sweating and hiking. So comfortable and a cute baloney. This is easy walking distance to many restaurants, staff was friendly and parking was very secure. Wished we could have stayed longer but we remember this place and stay longer next trip!

We had a great one night stay here. On arrival the front desk staff was very welcoming and offered an upgrade to a suite for a small fee. We took it and thoroughly enjoyed having the extra space. The room was very clean and comfortable. Little to no noise from the highway, never heard the train and the hotel itself was quite quiet. Enjoyed the hot tubs as well. My only wish would be for an onsite restaurant!

The room was gorgeous along with the view, but what was really amazing was how accommodating the staff was. It was a very last minute booking over the long weekend, and as such the hotel was 100% full Saturday night so we were only able to book Sunday to Monday. I called ahead to inquire as I was concerned about having enough time to get to the ski hills. Thalia was so patient with me, and requested faster cleaning on our reservation so we could have an early check-in. I'm sure she could tell I was anxious as I usually plan well ahead for trips to the area, but everything worked out beautifully. We had a two bedroom Mountain View suite which came with tons of amenities and it was a wonderful trip.

The front desk employees were helpful, friendly, and informative: Thalia, Benjamin, and Krissie all made useful suggestions based on my questions and responded to needs quickly (i.e., offering a local area map and highlighting places of interest such as the Engine Bridge and walking paths; providing a clean rag to polish my boots; describing how to book our next stay to benefit from promo rates; conveying housekeeping requests for extra paper towels and pillows quickly.

The housekeeping employees were excellent and personable: Nela, Domi, Krystyna, Bernadette, Lee, and Sailesh worked well as part of the team to keep our suite appealing and clean, and to provide the additional requested items promptly.

Our family of four adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to booking a summer vacation in the same suite. The Blackstone Mountain Lodge exceeded our expectations, thanks to the people and the venue.

I made a quick trip to AB last week for a jam packed 72 hours of sight-seeing and adventure. I flew into Calgary and spent the day sight seeing and the evening enjoying the Calgary Stampede and midway.

I didn't get to the resort until about 2am, absolutely exhausted and so I was so relieved to find that my room was absolutely perfect and we didn't have to make any additional requests; there were ample, towels, pillows and robes. Our room was prepared by Emily and Teressa and these ladies did such a lovely job. Everything was spotless including the tub so I felt comfortable taking a bath and let me tell you that you MUST. The tubs are so deep I could sit comfortably with the water up to my shoulders.

There was a nice welcome letter with some soda and chocolates courtesy of the resort. The room had complimentary tea and coffee and was also equipped with a washer and dryer.

We had a nice view of the mountains from our balcony which was great since we didn't get a chance to see them prior given we drove up in the evening and also the next day they happened to be obscured by smoke.

My only wish is that they had better coffee; it wasn't quite to my taste and speaking to a few other folks, it seemed to be a common complaint of guests, otherwise it's a great resort.

The place was very family friendly. The hotel was in Canmore, very convenient location, close from the highway, the stores and the supermarket. It was about 30 mins away from Lake Louis and Moraine. About an hour away from The town of Banff. There was a hot tub that we were able to enjoy after a long hiking each day to relax. Also, it was great to have a washer and a dryer. The front desk also has beat spray that you can rent it for free. My only regret was the early morning front desk person did not know where the sprays were stored, so I had to buy my own for over $35… But people are great and I really enjoyed staying there.

Our experience began with Talhia, who was very helpful in changing dates for us. Upon arrival we were greeted by Ben & Ruby, on the front desk who were a ray of sunshine after a long drive and I loved our conversations. The room was spotless and awaiting us was a bottle of red wine & flavoured sodas. Another thoughtful touch. I also met Alyssa who was just a sweet kind soul. Our stay was beautiful with mountain views but it was the kind hearts of the staff that made our 44th Anniversary even more special.

My family visited this lodge last weekend. The hope was to have an extended weekend away in the mountains. We initially booked a two bedroom king suite but somehow got upgraded to a three bedroom suite on the 4th floor. We did not need the extra room but they said it was because of availability. I will detail my review below:

The good:

1) Very spacious suite with a full kitchenette and all the dishes you could need.
2) In general, very clean all around. Even with lots of foot traffic the reception was kept clean. The suite was also very clean and smelled fresh.
3) Underground parking was convenient and we appreciated the rinse station that allowed us to wash our car before hitting the road.
4) The staff were very friendly and polite.

The not so good:

1) We chose this place because they said no pets on their website and made us initial when we checked in to confirm that were not allowed to bring in pets. Yet, when in the room, we could hear dogs barking and walked past persons with dogs. If you can't see to it that there are actually no pets on-site, maybe don't ask guests to sign documents and take it off your website also?
2) I was excited to be on the top floor because that meant no foot stomping above us. But we could not relax because we constantly heard traffic and lots of banging in the hallways and stomping in the rooms beside us.
3) We were so excited that there was a pool and two hot tubs on site. Sadly, we did not get to use either as they were always packed.
4) Finally, $1000 for two nights was just too much for what you get. I learned during check-in that there are no restaurants on site. For the cost one would hope to get a voucher for breakfast or something. Plus the incidental is $200? The hotel we stayed at the day before only put $50 on hold.

I would like to say that we would be back but I can't. It's just too expensive for what you get and then we still have to leave to get our meals. I would not tell someone not to visit, but we'll see what else Canmore has to offer.

Could not fault our stay. Everything was just awesome. We stayed a few weeks in total with a quick weekend getaway in between. The two bedroom apartment was so spacious and the view was spectacular. The staff were amazing, so receptive to all our requests. The hot tub was magic with snow falling around us! The kitchen was incredible and was able to host an easter dinner with ease. The reception staff even supplied extra plates, glasses and a whisk I needed. Watching the snow outside while sitting by the cosy fireplace was magic. Free underground parking was a bonus. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you everyone. Helen

We booked a wedding block with Blackstone & I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff & amenities. Kristina was so wonderful to work with and the whole process was seamless! She kept us updated constantly & made sure to book us her “favourite room” as soon as possible. The outdoor hot tubs & heated pool were amazing in the spring & all of our guests were so impressed by how helpful all of the staff was. My dad made an impulsive purchase & brought a limo out - the staff set aside a parking area for him & were all around just so welcoming. They truly went above & beyond on everything, & made us feel so special & relaxed for our entire trip. The rooms are simple but spacious & have everything that you need at a very reasonable price point, including picturesque mountain views! Thank you to all of the staff who were so friendly & welcoming to our small-town prairie crew and for making our wedding a truly magical day.
