The front desk employees were helpful, friendly, and informative: Thalia, Benjamin, and Krissie all made useful suggestions based on my questions and responded to needs quickly (i.e., offering a local area map and highlighting places of interest such as the Engine Bridge and walking paths; providing a clean rag to polish my boots; describing how to book our next stay to benefit from promo rates; conveying housekeeping requests for extra paper towels and pillows quickly. The housekeeping employees were excellent and personable: Nela, Domi, Krystyna, Bernadette, Lee, and Sailesh worked well as part of the team to keep our suite appealing and clean, and to provide the additional requested items promptly. Our family of four adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to booking a summer vacation in the same suite. The Blackstone Mountain Lodge exceeded our expectations, thanks to the people and the venue.

Could not fault our stay. Everything was just awesome. We stayed a few weeks in total with a quick weekend getaway in between. The two bedroom apartment was so spacious and the view was spectacular. The staff were amazing, so receptive to all our requests. The hot tub was magic with snow falling around us! The kitchen was incredible and was able to host an easter dinner with ease. The reception staff even supplied extra plates, glasses and a whisk I needed. Watching the snow outside while sitting by the cosy fireplace was magic. Free underground parking was a bonus. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you everyone. Helen

We stayed in a comfortable main-floor standard room that came with a very responsive heating/cooling system (crank screen window also offered option for fresh mountain air if desired), the best multi-cup coffee maker with timer offering three brew styles and a generously sized insulated pot with complimentary Caffe Monte small batch specialty coffee pouches. Also a mini kettle with several Tazo teas including ‘Zen’ and ‘Awake English Breakfast’ and a fresh kitchen towel and dishrag. The fresh cream in the fridge was a nice surprise. Privacy pull down window blind along with blackout curtains provided total darkness for a great sleep. Hotel seemed to have quiet rooms along with a good fitness room with free weights, yoga ball, treadmill, elliptical, bike machine, and change rooms with showers and lockers. The hot tubs were great and Ryan the manager made sure they were well heated and clean for us each morning. Staff Emma and Ben were very helpful - all employees were very polite and accommodating helping with dining options and advice for bus and taxi use. Canmore’s adoption of parking fees was the only truly disappointing discovery for the trip. It provided a very negative experience as the meters don’t take cash and your license is required. For our brief stay it added approx $20 fees and made for shortened shopping experience as we had to head back to vehicle to avoid possible ticket when meter expired. Almost all locals we spoke to were very disappointed with the adoption of downtown-wide parking-citing negative impact on businesses and confusion about rules or if ppl could move spots within their paid parking window. Canmore has certainly lost its mellow, campy feel with the implementation of city-style paid parking - no free parking for last couple of years we were told.

We stayed at Blackstone with our whole office this past weekend. We have stayed here multiple times in the past personally, but this was our first business trip. The staff did a great job. From Kristina who was wonderfully helpful with the booking and arrangements, to Emma at the front desk who was lovely and super helpful. They recommended a nearby restaurant - Iron Goat - which was well received. The rooms were spacious and the kitchens included in a few of the rooms allowed us to have a cooking team build which was very memorable. Thanks!

This is a great hotel. Check in was extremely friendly and quick. We had a standard 2 queen room on the main floor and it had a little kitchenette with mini fridge, kettle, coffee maker, 2 robes. Rooms aren’t new but well kept and comfortable. We used the hot tub. There are 2 hot tubs and 1 pool. As for the reviews commenting on kids everywhere, this is not an adult only hotel. If that’s what you are looking for, perhaps a family friendly hotel isn’t where you should book. Oh! The underground free parking is amazing! Would be even better if people parked within the lines so more vehicles could fit. I would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel. Awesome room for hosting family of 6. Great overall experience. Only minor concern is the place could use one or two more hot tubs with the demand. We were impressed with the well stock kitchen, bbqs, cleanliness and overall fantastic rooms layouts.

Great service! I really appreciated the staff at this hotel. It felt like they really cared about making our one night stay special. The mountain views are beautiful and my family loved the pool. Our room was quiet and we had a great sleep. I think it is a very nice hotel at a fair price.

Beautiful hotel and clean, love having the kitchen but a big selling point was the hot tubs. We hardly got to use the hot tubs though as they were always over full, often with children or people drinking. Almost the whole weekend was filled with the noise of children playing in the hot tub. Paid extra for a suite and had to deal with kids and noise from the stairs.

We choose the Blackstone Mountain Lodge to host our company holiday retreat in March 2024. I started working with their Group Sales Coordinator Kristina Ebermann back in September of 2023. We booked a total of 23 rooms. This was our first stay at Blackstone but not our first retreat that I have planned in Canmore. Kristina was by the far the best Group Sales Coordinator I have worked with to date. She was very timely to respond, very reasonable and accommodating to the best of her abilites, she followed up and sent reminders when it came to contract dates and was super patient and polite when with my last-minute room change requests (even on check in day!). The weekend went seamlessly, and it was hugely in part to Kristina's efforts. I have heard nothing but great feedback from our employees about their stay at Blackstone. The front-end staff were so wonderful, kind, and helpful. The rooms met everyone’s needs. The meeting space was perfect, and the pool was such a hit with the kids. We are very eager to start planning our 2025 stay at the Blackstone Mountain Lodge.
