Nestled in a picturesque location, Blackstone Mountain Lodge by CLIQUE is lauded for its exceptional staff who deliver friendly and professional service, significantly enhancing the guest experience. The lodge's rooms are frequently commended for their spaciousness, comfort, and thoughtful amenities, including full kitchens and laundry facilities. While the hot tubs are a hit, they can become crowded, leading to calls for additional ones.
Opinions on value vary, with some guests considering certain upgrades a bargain and others feeling the basics are somewhat costly. The cleanliness of the lodge is consistently celebrated, contributing to the warm and inviting atmosphere that many find both comfortable and elegantly luxurious.

Detailed Reviews
This is a fantastic hotel. Ample secured underground parking, great patio / BBQ / pool / Hot tub area (pool and hot tubs are open in winter) and the suite rooms with kitchens provide great value for money. Our room had minimal tableware which was a bit annoying (only 4 bowls, 4 plates, 4 coffee cups, etc) as you basically had to constantly do dishes or run the dishwasher, but the maid staff provides you with dishwasher tablets each day and plenty of dishwashing soap so that was good. Located half a block from the Cornerstone so if you're in town for a wedding, you can easily walk there which is nice. The rest of town is a bit of a trek, but only a 5min car drive so everything is pretty close.

First time visiting Canmore and used it for our base for skiing. It's a bit further than staying at Banff or staying at a ski in/out but the price and amenities reflect it. We rented a hotel room and 1BR suite and the kitchen was absolutely wonderful. Fully stocked with cutlery and flatware. The insuite laundry was also handy to have for longer trips or during the winter for skiing to dry your clothes. The underground parking was heated and even had a little area for washing your vehicle. Our F150 had no problems whatsoever fitting into this parking garage. The hot tubs are located outside but still conveniently located. If plans ever take me to Canmore I will be back.

Excellent value for the price! The hotel was very nice and clean. Service was great and the staff were wonderful to deal with. The hotel was pretty packed despite it being mid-week. We did have issues with noise one of our nights. The guests in the room next door were incredibly noisy and there were kids constantly running up and down the halls at night and in the early morning. Due to this we did receive a partial refund.
One really neat touch that I've never seen at a hotel before was that they offered a free car wash! They provided everything you needed to do the job. They also provided a blu ray player in the room and bath salts which I have never seen before in a hotel either. They also gave us fresh cream for coffee in the fridge.
There is one heated pool and 2 hot tubs. The pool could've used a cleaning as there were a bunch of leaves on the bottom. The hot tubs were nice but limited to 4 people each. Unfortunately, it was so busy that it was almost impossible to use. You constantly had to be watching it like a hawk if you wanted a turn. They did put a sign asking people to limit their time to 15 mins but that of course never happened.
All in all I would love to stay here again. I would just make sure I get a room on the top floor and without an adjoining door.

We stayed here partly because the suites have a fully equipped kitchen. This makes eating in the room or using restaurant take out services very easy. The suites are spacious and well-equipped. Easy access to everything in Canmore, and secure, warm underground parking for your vehicle and storage for skis or bicycles. If you are a light sleeper, consider paying more for a mountain view room (south side of hotel) as the rooms on the north side are fairly close to the TransCanada highway.

This lodge was a great place to stay. We had a 2 bedroom suite which included beautiful stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. Had two very clean and big bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable including the sofa bed. I love the insuite laundry which included soap and dryer sheets. Thank you very much for making us so comfortable!

Check-in was very smooth and the staff are very friendly. They have COVID-19 procedures in place and the outdoor pool/hot tub is still available for use. We had a lot of fun while staying here.
The only complaint was that our room floor felt like it was not cleaned/vacuumed, but I'm sure this was an oversight; everything else in our room, and the rest of the hotel, was clean and felt very comfortable.
Underground parking is a nice feature and there is also parking available on the street.
I would recommend this hotel and be happy to stay here again.

If you for whatever reason need to make any changes to your reservation please make sure that when you arrive everything is crystal clear or you will find yourself with some surprise costs. I didn’t want to mention that other than that experience was quite well clean hotel very friendly staff the housekeeping was incredible and the room had absolutely everything that we need for our comfortable stay. I would recommend this please just be very clear with the front desk as you check in

Dear Guest91543553, Thank you for taking the time to share your stay experience with fellow travellers on Trip Advisor. We are always as clear as possible with our reservation confirmations and will always give a guest what has been reserved. Most guests will get a direct confirmation email clarifying that, but we do not control confirmations given by 3rd party booking sites such as Expedia. No hotel would purposely make changes and notify a guest last minute at check in as this would obviously cause a disruption to service and put undue stress on the guest and staff. We want all of our guests to have a wonderful experience with us and that starts with clear communication at the time of booking. We are certain that there must have been some misunderstanding. We hope that this does not prevent you from staying with us again as it does appear that you did enjoy the rest of your time with us. Please call anytime prior to arrrival and we will be happy to review any reservation details with you. John Brownlee, GM

My family visited this lodge last weekend. The hope was to have an extended weekend away in the mountains. We initially booked a two bedroom king suite but somehow got upgraded to a three bedroom suite on the 4th floor. We did not need the extra room but they said it was because of availability. I will detail my review below:
The good:
1) Very spacious suite with a full kitchenette and all the dishes you could need.
2) In general, very clean all around. Even with lots of foot traffic the reception was kept clean. The suite was also very clean and smelled fresh.
3) Underground parking was convenient and we appreciated the rinse station that allowed us to wash our car before hitting the road.
4) The staff were very friendly and polite.
The not so good:
1) We chose this place because they said no pets on their website and made us initial when we checked in to confirm that were not allowed to bring in pets. Yet, when in the room, we could hear dogs barking and walked past persons with dogs. If you can't see to it that there are actually no pets on-site, maybe don't ask guests to sign documents and take it off your website also?
2) I was excited to be on the top floor because that meant no foot stomping above us. But we could not relax because we constantly heard traffic and lots of banging in the hallways and stomping in the rooms beside us.
3) We were so excited that there was a pool and two hot tubs on site. Sadly, we did not get to use either as they were always packed.
4) Finally, $1000 for two nights was just too much for what you get. I learned during check-in that there are no restaurants on site. For the cost one would hope to get a voucher for breakfast or something. Plus the incidental is $200? The hotel we stayed at the day before only put $50 on hold.
I would like to say that we would be back but I can't. It's just too expensive for what you get and then we still have to leave to get our meals. I would not tell someone not to visit, but we'll see what else Canmore has to offer.

Stayed one night on our way back from Banff. Excellent lodging, room was a great size, quiet, and had fantastic amenities. We made use of the in-suite laundry service (pods and dryer sheets were provided). Had we stayed longer, we would have made use of the on-site bbqs on the patio. Underground, heated parking was an added bonus. Would absolutely stay again and would recommend.
