I am emailing you with our displeasure with the stay we had at Rundle Mountain Lodge. I had stayed there in the past and enjoyed our stay so on our way by I made a reservation for October 3 . I understand the lodge has changed hands but would NOT recommend it to anyone . We expected it to be old but we don’t mind vintage and that would have been fine other than the place was Filthy!! We stayed in room 120 the first was the heater we noticed that it had had coffee spilled on it on closer inspection it the heater was one big spider web and it was thick with dust, behind the washroom door there were spider webs and dust top to bottom. The phone and hair dryer are coated with dust and all corners were the same, this lead us to think the room must not have been sanitized so we took it upon our selves to do it! I didn’t not bother to discuss it with the staff and vowed to give this review email to you as trip advisor
The only thing clean was the sheets
We will never stay there again and felt you should be aware I will be contacting the local health authority to check on them

Our dog Tikka, gave this hotel a 4/5! On the end unit with no one above us (one of the "cabins") It is dated. Windows and window sills need upgrading. Bathroom window cracked & doesn’t open. Room, kitchenette & bathroom has log cabin-like wood. A-frame type ceiling, gives rooms a larger feel. The kitchenette was great: small stove, oven, 4 burners, microwave, small fridge, utensils, plates/cups for 4 people, a frying pan and medium saucepan & coffee maker. Small table with 2 chairs & a small tv. Our dog loved the cabin. Great location to take her just outside the door. Drawbacks: unit has large garbage bins beside it, you could hear people dumping garbage. Opposite wall to the entry door, has the next hotel visitors parking, so you hear car doors close. As for the train - we counted well over 20 a day while in the cabin, it was much less noticeable than other properties. Kitchen appliances share 2 plugs, so check to see which one you are unplugging! Lacking enough cream & sugar. Fireplace would have been a bonus. a coat rack at the front door & maybe a boot tray in front of the heater for the colder weather A proper drying rack for the dishes instead of a flimsy cutting board, would be most helpful. We found it was very clean and the carpet was vacuumed. Would stay again.

We stayed here while in town for a wedding so we basically just needed a place to sleep, which this suited the purpose.
It is older and dated but kept pretty clean.
We did have the room with the jetted tub because it wasn’t much more money, but the tub isn’t great, it’s pretty shallow and it’s the old style so cold water comes out of the jets when you turn it on which isn’t super sanitary. Even if you’re not using the tub this gets you a nice big room though.

Booked this for a last minute ski weekend. The big draw was the outdoor hot tub for us. Before going in, there is a sign that says something like... "Bathing suit colours may fade after hot tub use. We are not responsible for damage to bathing suits." I chuckled thinking someone must've complained after mild colour change. But this sign delivered! My blue bathing suit looked like it went through the bleach cycle. It is now a faded yellowish green/blue. I've never been in a hot tub that ruined my stuff. My best guess is they're using Clorox bleach instead of chlorine in there...

Nothing was wiped down the phone still had crusted red wine on it. Well I’m hoping it was red wine. All door knobs were gross and sticky. I ending up wiping them down. Baseboards looked they have not seen a cleaning in YEARS. The room was cold when we arrived and the thermostat did not work, instead they had an oil heater in the corner that smelled when you turned it on. There was no mountain view. The sheets were the only thing that looked clean.
Staff was extremely rude on check in and not accommodating to try and either get our room cleaned or a new room. Was also rude on the check out.
Hot tub was to be down Monday for maintenance as stated on the website but when we arrived Sunday they told us is was closed and may be open Monday.
There was no mountain view it was I a highway view with the sound of every car going by coming in crystal clean and even with the white noise was still waking the baby.
Do not trust the photos on the website they must be old or maybe they only cleaned for the photos. This place tops the dirtiest places I’ve been with the most staff that are not willing to even try and make the stay better.
Not worth the 280 we paid for the night.

The hotel may be a little old and rundown, but if you want to have a dance party, the rooms are big enough! We had a standard queen - the room had 2 comfortable queen sized beds, a fridge, and a coffee maker. EVerything was very clean.

We arrived without reservations but were checked in within a few minutes. Lots of parking available. We didn't use the pool or hot tub and I'm not sure if they were open with covid19, but that was fine. The hotel was better value than the other place we stayed in town.

My son is working in the town and bad weather - a spring blizzard - was expected so we booked a room here through Hotwire to save him the risky morning drive from Calgary. Upon booking, we tried phoning to ask about a later evening check in time. There was no answer to four calls over a two hour period. Not missing the bad weather after all, my son was much later arriving than expected. When he got there, no staff was on site and they had a note on the door with an after hours check in number to call. No one answered that either. This left him stranded in bad weather at a late hour. Absolutely terrible! He spoke with someone in the parking lot staying there the past week and the same thing had happened to him. He indicated he can never get hold of staff for anything. Very poorly run business.

Great place to stay, we stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage, cozy space, has a kitchenette so we are able to save on meals out and make our food. Service and staff were great and very friendly. Housekeeping service daily(if wanted) the views were absolutely amazing, even right out the door,
Everywhere you look there are mountains. The only thing is couldn’t get the jets to work in hot tub.

The main attraction here is that it is in Canmore and is pet friendly as we had our pups with us. I will first start by saying I'm not sure if all rooms are the same here but the one we stayed in (located on the lower level) was not very pleasant at all. The first thing you will notice is how dark it is and very little space. We had the curtain open, turned on every light in the place and it was still so dark. There is nowhere to put any of your items either, except one ancient old dresser, a half sized kitchen table, and that's about it. The air conditioning unit is very loud even on the low setting. The most disappointing is that we booked a kitchenette specifically because I had planned to cook most of our meals. This does not constitute as a kitchen! There is no toaster, baking sheet, oven mitts, bowls, can opener, and on and on. It is a mini sized fridge that barely fits anything and a 70's stove with an oven that is useless unless you are cooking something that does not require a baking sheet, dish, etc, and no oven mitts to remove anything from the oven. You can barely maneuver in the kitchen because it is so tiny! Surprisingly, the bed was relatively comfortable. This place is very dark and uninviting, almost depressing considering you are in beautiful Canmore. My recommendation would be to stay somewhere else.

This is our second stay here and we really like the ambiance. Our room had a gas fireplace, kind size bed and a two person hot tub. My wife also likes the bidet and double shower. We had a little trouble finding our room because the hall isn't marked at all. You actually have to go through a door that says pool and laundry before you see a sign for the 100 series rooms! Good deal for Canmore and we stayed two nights.
