I stayed for one night with my 2 teenage daughters and we probably won't return. We had thought we were renting a "cabin" but it's really just part of the "motel" section of the hotel. Our room was on the bottom of a 2-floor structure and had a separate bedroom, which was nice. But we thought we'd have more privacy than we did - it's NOT a cabin at all. The other annoying feature was that the building was made with zero noise reduction. We could hear EVERYTHING in the room above us, which got pretty annoying at about midnight. On a MONDAY night. Very loud. We also found the front desk worker to be quite void of personality. He didn't smile once, didn't welcome us, and seemed annoyed when I asked for a cot (which cost us $15). He also got the math wrong on adding this cost to our one-night stay. Luckily, I caught the mistake before it got charged to my room. The bedsheets were all stained. I think they were still clean (I hope) but there were stains everywhere. Also, signs around the room indicating we'd be charged if we didn't wash any dishes used, etc. It seemed fairly uninviting overall. The GOOD things were that the beds were decently comfortable, and the feel of the "cabin" was cool, with a little kitchen area and walls made of logs. But unfortunately, the bad sleep due to noise clouded anything good about this stay. So basically, unless you have hearing aids and can turn them down at night, you likely won't want to stay in one of the "cabins" at this hotel - it's very noisy. And even if the neighbours weren't noisy, they make noise just by walking around their room. So if you really want to try this place out, I'd at least suggest staying on the second floor.

My son is working in the town and bad weather - a spring blizzard - was expected so we booked a room here through Hotwire to save him the risky morning drive from Calgary. Upon booking, we tried phoning to ask about a later evening check in time. There was no answer to four calls over a two hour period. Not missing the bad weather after all, my son was much later arriving than expected. When he got there, no staff was on site and they had a note on the door with an after hours check in number to call. No one answered that either. This left him stranded in bad weather at a late hour. Absolutely terrible! He spoke with someone in the parking lot staying there the past week and the same thing had happened to him. He indicated he can never get hold of staff for anything. Very poorly run business.

I fell on their stairs that had not been salted or maintained since in the morning. When we left the next day the stairs still were not salted. Staff has told owner that they did salt but it snowed all night. Which is not true. I have pic too first pic is when I fell second pic shows stairs 15 hours later and you can tell no extra snow has fallen.....

The hotel may be a little old and rundown, but if you want to have a dance party, the rooms are big enough! We had a standard queen - the room had 2 comfortable queen sized beds, a fridge, and a coffee maker. EVerything was very clean. We arrived without reservations but were checked in within a few minutes. Lots of parking available. We didn't use the pool or hot tub and I'm not sure if they were open with covid19, but that was fine. The hotel was better value than the other place we stayed in town.

In over 20 years of working in hotels, I have never seen one turn away an exhausted driver over a deposit. So dangerous and really horrible customer service. Your neighbor was willing to accommodate me for the few hours of sleep that I’ll be getting before continuing on with my journey. You’re parking lot wasn’t very busy, are you sure you can afford to be turning business away?
