I have stayed at the Malcolm a few times now. It has an instantly calming atmosphere. No detail has been missed from the level of service, the cozy rooms and the quality finishings. I can't recommend The Malcolm more. The rooftop hot tub/ pool is next-level and the walking paths around the hotel are gorgeous.

Hotel's Favourite
I was blown away with this hotel. The design, the story, the art work of the hotel added so much character. The location, the pool and roof top gathering area were so relaxing. All the staff were amazing but the front desk staff were my favourite as well as a female bartender (wish I could remember their names) the food was delicious. Not a single complaint.

The Malcolm is a 5 star hotel! The ambiance is beautiful, the location so close to Canmore to walk. They were setting up 80 Christmas trees when we were there & watching the trees go up was a WOW factor! The Sterling Grill has a nice happy hour & the food was excellent.

I travelled to Canmore for business and this hotel did not disappoint. From the staff, to the hot tub, to the cleanliness and location, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone! I got to experience the festival of trees before it was open to the public, beautiful! The heart lite up out front; beautiful!

Hotel is relaxing, close to cool stores, has an amazing pool and hot tubes, the Nespresso machine was awesome for a morning coffee. Love that there are robes and slippers for wearing to the pool/ hot tubs.

The staff at the front desk were not friendly didn’t ask any questions about our stay. One guest was checking out and said he had to leave due to a family emergency/illness the staff didn’t say anything. I offered my support to the guest. Our serve gave me regular toast when I asked for gluten free and was asked about an extra charge for this she said no, but you could tell she forgot to order it and didn’t share she made a mistake. This could have been a very costly mistake if I was celiac. It was our birthday get away and it was shared with the team when reservations were made at the hotel and in the dining room. No mention was ever made of this-tho a nice note was written up with the chocolate covered strawberries I paid to have for when we arrived. The location is beautiful but next time I could stay at a more economical location where staff were more engaging. Out serve both evenings was wonderful and the burger was the best fancy burger I have ever had! I would visit the restaurant again for dinner again, hoping for the same server. …

Too many little things added up. Clogged sink, broken hair dryer, scale not working. Friendly but very slow service in the lounge. My wife and I stayed an extra day to sleep in and enjoy Canmore but woken up early by the fire alarm set off by parking lot cleaning. 2nd year in a row!

We had a wonderful stay at The Malcolm Hotel. It was our first time spending the night and we thoroughly enjoyed the centralized location (easy to walk to town) and beautiful mountain views from our room. The bed was to die for and the blackout curtains made the room cozy and perfect for a great night's sleep. We also appreciated the Nespresso machine in the room and the many hotel amenities, such as the pool and hot tub. Our only critique would be the wait time to get our food in the Stirling restaurant, however, once we received our meals, they were hot and delicious, so it made up for the lengthy wait. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and will definitely be back soon!

Stayed at the Malcolm Hotel for midweek conference. Proximity to town and amenities of the hotel make this a perfect location for small conference or corporate retreat. Hotel services were exceptional and would accommodate a group who want to do all activities within the same building. Short walk to excellent dining. Activities in the Bow Valley corridor would also allow for other team building activities. Highly recommend Malcolm Hotel and Canmore.
