Excellent place to stay while exploring Banff. The space was very clean and spacious. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We were given clear check in/out instructions, and had great views. Would 100% come back.
My husband and I stayed at Basecamp Lodge for a total of six nights over the course of a week...we loved our first three nights so much that we returned for another three when our travels brought us back to Canmore. Excellent, well thought-out rooms; lots of room for gear; fantastic food prep area; easy contact free check in and check out. King bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in a basket was perfect. You can tell the windows have been upgraded to cut down on the train noise. We used the ear plugs that were provided and had no issue with sleeping. We definitely will stay at Basecamp Lodge in the future!
Wonderful stay. The staff was very friendly, and the lodge was extremely clean. My wife and daughter loved the Rocky mountain soap selections that were available in the rooms. Very comfortable beds, and we had the best sleep ever. Great job Basecamp! We'll be back.
I had a great stay! Clean, comfy bed, and cute breakfast baskets to pick up at the front in the morning. I’ll definitely be back! It’s cozy and I was able to park my car right outside my window too to keep an eye on it!
We thoroughly enjoyed our midweek stay. The room was clean, large and modern, larger than we were expecting and the breakfast was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the second floor common area. Our only complaint is the strict 4pm check in, it seemed quite late, and the fact that I received an email and a text at 8am reminding us of our 11am checkout.
Recently stayed in a deluxe queen room with two friends for a girls weekend. The room was clean and the check in was easy with the code. The hotel is within walking distance of town centre. The free breakfast baskets were ok. Nothing special. The train runs literally right behind the hotel, and the train runs through town MANY times during the night. So keep this in mind if you are a light sleeper. I would stay here again, but I would probably check other places out first, not so close to the train tracks.
Upon our arrival we thought what a beautiful resort and then we tried to get into bed and there was hair in our bed. Later on in the evening my husband saw a brownish red bug walking on the roof he tried to catch it and it flew at him. Upon further investigation it was a cockroach. Due to the fact that we got the photo after we threw it in the toilet the hotel was quick to dismiss it as a cockroach because it was black on the bottom. Their only compensation they wanted to give us for the issue was 20% they moved us to another room that was very loud due to the people above all night long and we couldn’t sleep the entire night. The bed wasn’t at all what we paid for considering we purposely tried to find a king romantic room for our anniversary and they moved us to a queen at their sister resort that felt like sleeping on a stack of cardboard. We aren’t a typical couple that complains. I am pregnant and we have a child so this was our first and only getaway after a year of surgeries and covid. It was absolutely appalling how it was handled. The front desk staff however was amazing. We expected much more. It’s incredibly disappointing that they don’t want to take responsibility for an issue that falls on them.…
We loved this place! We stayed at Basecamp Lodge for a last minute reservation. We were pleasantly surprised. It is a friendly, homey-feeling place. Our room was clean, tidy and roomy. The bathrooms were modern and the soap was great. Rocky Mountain Soap Company soaps and shampoos are provided. Rene was awesome! He was quick to respond to anything we needed. This place feels like staying at a friend's home. There is a large common area where you could play cards or get together in a group. Our room had a fridge. There is a microwave available for use in the common area. A take-away breakfast of yogurt, fruit, cheese, juice was offered for free. Great place to stay!
Great location. Easy walk to downtown Canmore and dining. Parking is a little dodgy but manageable. Close to the highway for easy trips to Banff. Clean rooms, really friendly staff. Great grab-n-go breakfast baskets. Would definitely stay here again.
It was a fabulous visit. Right near train tracks but they provide ear plugs and I slept really well. Bed was comfortable. Virtual checking was flawless. Only issue was I parked in wrong lot but responded to my text right away and was able to find right lot.
