6 mature adults flew to Calgary for a week of exploring the Canadian Rockies. Hotels are very expensive in Banff, and a little less in Canmore. This is not a Super 8 like in the US! We booked a deluxe room for a few dollars more, which gave us room to spread out. What we loved: beautiful view of the mountains, great air conditioning (it was in the 80's in September), very helpful and kind staff, huge hot tub, breakfast, very clean room, and a great restaurant next door (Patrinos) where we could eat dinner outdoors and get a 15% discount. We were only 20 minutes from Banff, and had absolutely no complaints!

The room was in very good shape & very clean. The bathroom was redone & had a large walk in shower which was much nicer than showering in a bathtub. Pillows were a bit firm. The breakfast had good variety & was well replenished. Would definitely stay there again.

Housekeeping changed out pillows on both beds after the first night to normal sized pillows from throw pillows. 5 of the 6 “fresh” pillows were covered in other people’s hair. Otherwise no complaints about the hotel itself, just make sure you ask for your room to be opposite the train tracks for a quieter room.

We made our reservation ONLINE. The description of our room stated there would be a table and chairs in the room. No such table and chairs were in our room. When asking at the desk about getting a room with the Table and Chairs both Clerks stated "that's the room you booked" and there's nothing we can do to change it now that you have checked in. The clerk even told us that the DESK was our table and chairs. Super 8 is unaccommodating to the needs of their guests. The only friendly person that worked there was the guy who put out the breakfast and mopped the floors in the Breakfast area.

Apart from zero daily room cleaning which the manager said was due to Covid restrictions that his team couldn’t step into the occupied room - meanwhile the person cleaning rooms wasn’t wearing any PPE or gloves or hazmat suits when the rooms were empty, I would have given this place more than one star. They gave a paper bag “breakfast” with packaged cookie, croissant, and fruit cup. Okay, that can be deemed as “free breakfast”, and the manager said they can’t have any dine-in due to Covid restrictions and compared the Wendy’s establishment as not having any seating to the same as their establishment. Kind of hard to keep that “restriction” when the three restaurants beside this hotel are open for dine in AND the hotel down the street had a full patio and restaurant open as we drove by. As someone in sales and management honesty is what makes customers happy in the end, EVEN if their “needs” aren’t met accordingly. I would recommend hotel seekers go else where or call ahead of time for actual hotel restrictions before booking. Be honest, let you customers know you are understaffed, and/or change your website to say you are not offering daily room cleaning and towel changes (which YOU have to go down an get), and breakfast. Be open and honest so the customer knows BEFORE booking a $800 stay what they’re signing up for.

Ok hotel for ok value. Room was nice and large, somehow I got an accessible room without requesting it, so hopefully no one needing the accessibility options was in need of it. Staff was courteous, I wouldn’t say friendly or particularly welcoming. If you are sensitive to noise at night, this is not the hotel for you. There is a lot of noise between rooms, hallways and the train going by multiple times a night.

We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our good-sized room. It was well lit and had a large mini-fridge with freezer, a microwave, a safe, sufficient storage space, and two comfortable chairs. Temperature control was good. The well lit bathroom had plenty of counter space and a good shower head. The bed was comfortable, but in the double queen room the beds are pushed very close to the wall. I was sleeping inches from the AC. We had a decent breakfast with processed hot items. The hotel is next to a train track. A train did pass by in the middle of the night. Ear plugs may be needed.

AC was not working properly. Temperature dropped lower than setup. The water pressure of shower head is very minimal. Taking forever to shower completely. was told by staff that's the way it is about the shower head.

Lovely quiet hotel. Athira at the front desk was very welcoming. Facility is clean, however the breakfast selection is limited (like Eggo waffles you need to put in toaster, not the usual waffle machines). Small pillows, but comfy. Had great hot water, however low water pressure on the second floor. Great to see a water dispenser located near the elevator to refill your water bottle. Nice restaurant across the parking lot for meals.

At this very moment it is hard to say since we still trying to figure out somethings in regards to that. Once we do have it, we will advertise it on our websites.
We're just travellers. The regulations might allow that by then, but each business with a pool or hot tub needs to decide if they are actually able to. Best to call and speak with somebody.
