This was our fifth time staying the Lamphouse, first couple of times was with our dog. We found it to be clean, quiet and very convenient. Lovely views of the river at the back, and we love the hot tub with views all around. Very good value, we will be back again.
We came to Canmore on our honeymoon. The Lamphouse was a perfect location to unwind and explore the Rockies. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable room, great downtown location. Walking distance to many shops & restaurants. Friendly staff
This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway. You can walk to most places in town within just a few minutes. The rooms are nice with great mountain views and the outdoor hot tub is fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.
This is an old motel style place, that has been revamped in the nicest way. Rooms are comfy, everything you need - coffee maker & pods, fridge, extra heating and a/c. We’ve stayed here before and loved it so we came back. The hot tub was lovely in the cool air.
Staff are very warm and welcoming, and made sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The room was immaculate and had great amenities. It was also lovely to have a room with a Mountain View so close to downtown canmore. Thank you for having us, we will be for sure back :)
Great little hotel in an excellent location. Our room was well appointed and very clean. Check in was super easy, loved having a door code instead of key cards. We realized that there weren’t any towels when we got in, called the front desk and they were up with a stack in just a few minutes. Will definitely stay here again.
I wasn’t sure about booking a motel on a busy corner but I couldn’t have been more impressed with the place. Not only is the location fantastic, but the rooms are nicely decorated, modern and clean and we spent 3 quiet nights. The hot tub is in a great spot overlooking the creek and not at all busy. We also had no problem getting a parking spot in the designated area.
We have stayed at this hotel for one night only as it was planned in our trip. The room is nice and includes a TV, a little fridge, but no microwave. A coffee machine is also included with 4 pods of coffee (it would have been nice that at least one of them was decaf coffee). The beds are very comfortable and the place is quiet, although is located rather close to restaurants, bars, shops. So very convenient. We didn't really visited Canmore, as we were using this hotel to visit the Banff area where hotels are more expensive. We had an issue with the heating system, but the friendly staff (thanks to Dave) made his best to solve it as soon as possible. I would recommend that hotel without any hesitation !
We stayed at the Lamphouse Hotel for four nights when we were in Canmore on our first visit of our 3 week road-trip. The Lamphouse is in a brilliant location, close to Canmore centre but also a good starting point if you’re venturing out to spots slightly out of the main streets. The rooms have been recently modernised and have been done to a great standard - bathrooms were really nice and had toiletries available; the rooms had a great TV, fridge, coffee machine, hairdryer, comfy bed and iron / ironing board on request - which we ended up keeping for the whole time we were there! We were on the ground floor and on the first night was a little noisy with some party-goers upstairs, but it didn’t spoil our stay (there are some earplugs provided if you need them!). Staff were brilliant and couldn’t have asked for more. There’s also a hot tub which was a really nice way to relax after a day of walking / exploring. Would definitely recommend the Lamphouse to anyone thinking of heading to Canmore!…
email and message system was excessive - got multiple emails and messages directly from hotel and booking.com on contactless check- including some after we had checked in using site. - messaged about numerous small flies in room to see if anything could be done, and response was sorry, heavy rain earlier in summer, not much they could do, - But - most disappointing was on Monday September 5 when we were to check out at 11 am. I took the car and left at about 10 am for a brief errand and my wife stayed in hotel to finish packing. Without even a knock the hotel staff just came into the room - this is totally unacceptable. I don't think guests should be expecting hotel staff to just barge in whenever they like.
