More accommodating than you can possibly imagine. Went way out of their way to help us out several times, and never hesitated to do it. Fantastic breakfasts! Comfortable rooms at the gateway to some of the best scenery in the world.
What a lovely bed and breakfast! This was the first time that I had ever stayed at a b&b, and my experience was great. Breakfast every morning. And a really healthy one at that! It's close to everything. Easy walk into the town center of Canmore where you can do some shopping for souvenirs and other local items. Right next door is the Georgetown Inn and Pub, great food and drinks at a reasonable price. Also a bagel place directly across the street. I would definitely stay there again.
An old style country inn with charm, in a fairly quiet area. Our room was very small, with not much room around the bed. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. The weather was very hot during our stay, so fans were provided as there was no air-conditioning. We did not feel welcome and found the reception staff quite aloof and showed no interest in interacting with the guests. Breakfast was fine, but nothing special, serves were average size.
Lady Macdonald is a unique, comforting, cozy experience in the mountains. Each day we were served an amazing, homemade, absolutely delicious breakfast. The tea selection was impressive and delightful, as I drink tea over coffee. The beds were comfy and the views in the morning impressive. The staff was beyond knowledgable of the area. The front desk manager, Veronica, is familiar with trails, hikes and mountains. She is more than willing to share her expertise and send you off on an amazing adventure. I very much enjoyed the lady Macdonald and will return here for sure, as its my favorite place to stay in the mountains!!
I recently stayed at the Lady MacDonald Inn for a work retreat. This was my first stay at the Inn and I was pleasantly surprised! It had a very cozy, at home feeling. The entire place was very clean. The bedding was great - very comfortable. I loved the location which made it easy to walk to downtown Canmore. The views from the porch are beautiful as well to enjoy your morning coffee. The staff were very attentive & kind. I'd love to stay again!
I’m so glad to have stayed here. It felt like a home away from home. The staff are so friendly and the ambience is cozy and warm. Breakfast is delicious and the rooms are VERY clean. Also in a great location, not too busy and close to whatever you need! I can’t wait to come back! Thanks for having me.
I have visited this lovely place several times and always have an excellent service, experience and food. The place feels like at grandmother’s and the staff is always friendly. Every morning is different breakfast that can be catered to allergies or food sensitivities. The only downside for me is soft mattresses as they give me poor sleep, but the rest is totally worth it.
We stayed in the Cascade room and the view was breathtaking from the bed onto the mountains. The room was clean, well equipped, (maybe a shelf in the washroom would be helpful). We got delicious breakfast, and the atmosphere of the salon made us to have our tea there. The city is in walking distance. Great place to stay in Canmore.
Clean safe, and extremely comfortable accommodations. First class all the way! Breakfast was included into your price . We stayed for 4 nights, had 4 hot delicious breakfasts served in a dining area ( 8 am- 10 am) . For terrific dinner's we ordered take-out within walking distances of 5 minutes of Lady MacDonald, from: "The Grande" (5 minutes) & Georgetown Inn/ Pub -2 minutes away, which has terrific fresh fish & chips. Ate all our meals in the dining room at the Lady Macdonald Inn along with our own spirits stored in a refig on site and quiet atmosphere. No worries of getting Covid . 10 minute walk away was the "Eclipse" best coffee & Chai in Banff Very safe grab & go style tucked in behind the railway track. We stayed in teh 3 sisters suite upstairs with lots of large windows that overlooked the Canadian Rocky Mt's Room was clean and the kingsize bed comfortable. I have back issues & it was perfect Soft but solid. Able to open a window & A/C available. You are close to the train tracks, but the buildings across the road block the noise out. The trains do not blow their horns and at night time you may only get 1-2 passing through. We are light sleepers and had no problem sleeping with the window open from the train. Earplugs are provided if need be . The staff are very professional and quick to help if you need them. We visit this place each year and missed last year due to Covid and were reluctant to go this year but were thrilled we did as our stay & trip was wonderful. We have known this place from the original owners and it just changed hands this year. The new management is first class all the way! Coffee is terrific and the food is amazing. We stayed as seniors for 5 days 4 nights and each additional night stay gave us a bigger discount. Our cost was just under $1,000 for the most expensive room they have.…
So glad we decided to stay an extra night in Canmore and found this cozy b&b. Right from the moment we checked in until time of check out we received excellent service from all the staff. Bre you were awesome with checking us in and good chatting with you. The complimentary breakfast was very good was an added bonus. Will book here again on our next visit to Canmore.
