More a "guest suite" than a "B&B," the Bear Necessities is perfect if you're looking for a cute, cozy, unique stay. Personally I loved the ability to wake up whenever and have our own breakfast when we wanted at the little kitchen table in our own private room. While the website isn't up to date in terms of the info...

So, this is a truly lovely basement suite with a seperate entrance at the side of the house. The hosts are friendly, but I didn't find them terribly welcoming. Be aware that this is not a true B and B, as they do not provide breakfast anymore. The room is decorated with a forest/bear theme, with our only issue being...

In Januari 2017 I tried to make a reservatation for 2 nights ( info on their website: $ 125,- per night for a stay of 2 nights or more ) They told me the rate was $ 140 per night. ......!!!!! The inquiry was 2 months ago. So their website is not up to date and I think they are...

The Bear Necessities B&B is a very nice log cabin feel apartment beneath the hosts house. All facilities are very clean with a great warm feel throughout. The bed in the room was really comfy, the best we've had on our whole trip so far! The kitchen facilities are basic (kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave and sink) but are enough to...

This was our favorite accomodation in our trip around the Rocky Mountains. Suzanne is a perfect host, and the apartment is spotless and very well finished (I love sweet teddy bears everywhere). You can feel like at home, there are so many books, guides and information that probably you need to stay almost 1 month in Bear Necessities! Bed is...

This was our first time staying at a B&B and we loved it, the room was very clean and quite large. They don't operate as a traditional B&B anymore as there is no breakfast but that was perfectly fine with us, there is a small kitchenette if you want to prepare your own breakfast. We stayed here for 5 nights...

While on a 6 week road trip, we were fortunate to have stayed at Bear Necessities for three nights. I won't rehash what the other reviewers have said in regards to the accomodation but let me say it was everything we expected and needed. Great location away from the touristy areas in a nice neighborhood. Our hosts gave us our...

Garth and Suzanne were wonderful. They looked after us so well. This was a perfect location for touring around the national parks. Clean, quirky and had everything we neeeded. Couldnt have asked for a better stay. Would definately recomend.

This is a great place to stay for a small family of 3. Bed was comfortable as well as the futon.. Quiet neighborhood. Felt very safe. IT is a basement/converted into a fabulous cabin type room. Coffee is great in the morning. The grounds are very well kept with nice flowers.. You can walk in the evening to a good...
