Detailed Reviews
We stayed there 4 nights and paid $3550 for 5 people in two rooms. This averaged $444 per room per night.
All the Pros:
- Housekeeping was so accommodating for late cleanings
- Front staff was chill and kind
- Breakfast was amazing and when the seats were full the front desk had no issue with us bringing plates up to our suite
- Rooms were air conditioned
- Cookies offered near front desk
- Breakfast had hashbrowns one day and wedge fries the next. Bagels, bread, waffles, juices, salsa, shredded cheese, cereal and oatmeal stuff, yogurt and also meat which we didn’t eat. Coffee was tasty and fresh. Teas available as well.
- Lots of parking spots available and they are spacious, on ground level. Not in a parkade.
Only issue was that there is one elevator that you sometimes have to wait a while for. Also there are no ventilation fan in the bathrooms.
Overall I would definitely come here again if in the area. Based on other hotels out there you can easily set yourself up for breakfast and lunch each day with the food they offer in the mornings.

Pocaterra is a gem! Location with beautiful views of the Rockies and a 10 minute walk to restaurants & shoppes. We loved the pet friendly rooms (they deliver a dog bed, bowls and toy), fireplace in room, balcony, mini kitchenette with microwave, mini frig and coffee maker, bath tub was deep and the Rocky Mountain Soap Co. products are local! Comfortable beds & a hot breakfast included (fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, waffles, potatoes with garnishes) my kids loved the pool, water slide , hot tub and sauna for adults was a perfect way to start the weekend. This place has everything and more for an amazing price point. We will be repeat visitors!

I love this place! We have stayed here with our little golden doodle. She is now 9 months old and Canmore is a great place to bring Ceildh (puppy) as she gets to run and play in the beautiful Canmore parks. This hotel goes out of it's way to make your pet feel welcome. They provided a beautiful, clean doggie bed for her to sleep in; a food bowl and a toy (tennis ball) our doggie is so uncoordinated it was funny to watch her running around with her new ball. This hotel gave our puppy the elevator experience (great socialisation). And they have grassy areas outside in the back and front. Plenty of walking room for puppy around the hotel, with walking/grassy paths. And all this is just on how 'pet friendly' they are. We had a room on the 4th floor with beautiful view of Three Sisters Mountain. Great breakfast and coffee. Loved the hot tub! This was a 60th birthday treat for me, which I am thoroughly enjoying. Thanks for the bottle of merlot! But, if you wish take out at Iron Goat restaurant....order early. At 6 pm they cannot do a take out order until after 8:30 pm. Since you welcome our puppy so graciously; great experience....we will be back!

The hotel was cute and clean! The staff we encountered were friendly and kind, the pool looked nice but we didn’t get a chance to go swimming unfortunately. The hotel buffet was mediocre for the nightly rate. We booked a double queen room with a mountain view, it was at the back of the hotel and was pretty quiet. The only complaints I have are minor, like our door wouldn’t close properly so we had to slam it every time we came in and out of the room. Then the issue we had was with the guest laundry, when I booked the pocaterra part of the reason I booked it is because it advertised guest laundry. When we got back to the hotel I started two loads of laundry (there’s two washers and two dryers) it didn’t seem busy with only one dryer running. However that was only the beginning.. their dryers need some serious TLC/repair because we had to run one load of laundry 3 times (at 50 minute cycles for 1.25 a LO cycle). For our laundry not to come out dry. My husband came back to our hotel room at 11pm and we had to quietly hang clothes anywhere we could in hopes they’d dry for the morning. This caused us to have to slam the door closed as for the issue mentioned above which woke up our 1 year old.. I’m not sure if I’d stay here again.

Absolute worst experience and stay in a hotel that I've ever had. $400 per night is ludicrous. A standard room that is below ground with no access or view that is literally comparable to a jail cell. Safety concern as only a tall person standing on a chair can reach the bottom of the window. No air conditioning in the room, no freezer in the mini fridge, spotty Wi-Fi as you're literally in the basement. My spouse and I had to use our data the entire stay as the Wi-Fi would not work in our room. The pool was so heavily chlorinated that it burned my eyes and throat and I could not use the pool. The pillows were lumpy and so uncomfortable. Terrible sleep due to the heat, not being able to control the room temperature and terrible beds, pillow and bedding. The toilet ran the entire stay, the room was dark and dungeon like with no fresh air. Rude staff who embarrassed me at the front desk and were clearly annoyed when I spoke about the room situation upon viewing it after check in. I was brought to tears. They would not offer me a refund as I had just paid not even 5 minutes before, so they I could stay elsewhere. The general manager did not care about my complaints and did not offer me a discount or refund after mentioning my concerns but only wanted to argued with me. I've never complained about a hotel in my life but this was utterly disappointing. Complete waste of money and I highly recommend staying elsewhere. There are so many other great options in the area, this hotel is overpriced and not worth the money! Unfortunately, I checked in late and could not book anywhere else due to the long weekend. Do not stay here!!!

The general manager has never argued with you you Amy. In fact apologized that we could not meet your expectations. You were allocated the exact room type that you booked on line and that online platform clearly stated that the room was below ground level and did not mention air conditioning. As has been politely communicated to you the hotel meets all health and safety requirements and the chemical readings of our pool both automated and manual were in the normal range during your stay. We are unable to determine why you had issues with our WIFI, but all is working as it should when we tested in the room that you were allocated.

This is it! The first hotel we stayed at where we don't have a single complaint or even helpful suggestion. They just seem to be doing everything right.
Their staff were warm and helpful from the moment we arrived (and it probably didn't hurt that they directed us to the variety of free soft cookies and beverages for arriving guests).
Our rooms linens and towels were very clean, well made and felt good to use. This might be the first hotel room we stayed in with wooden floors and it makes the space feel much more comfortable and clean (note that wood floors are much worse for sound-transmission between rooms if they aren't installed with that goal in mind, but we never heard other guests moving around, so: well done)!
There was an excellent selection of items to choose from for breakfast (even for us vegetarians).
Oh wait we do have one suggestion for them: It seems like the waterslide needed more water flowing down it . When descending at speed, it felt like one could get a bit tripped up by a drier spot and get unexpected 'shoved' into the slide tunnel wall. (It might be less of a problem when more people are using it as each person splashes around a bit more water onto the walls.)

We stayed three nights. Found the hotel and Canmore as a whole, completely charming! Front desk and house keeping staff were lovely, our room was very large, really comfortable bed and a jacuzzi bathtub. We found the location to be excellent, we walked into town, across to other nearby restaurants and there is a 7/11 next door, very convenient. We used the pool and hot tub which was nice, we also used laundry facilities which was very handy. Overall was a great stay and if we get the chance to go back to Canmore we would definitely look to stay here again.

We stayed here with our family, and the kids absolutely loved the pool and waterslide. The rooms aren't very spacious, but they're clean, cozy, and comfortable. We had a great night's rest after a full day of exploring Banff. We checked in at night and woke up to a beautiful sunrise with stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. We took lots of photos from the balcony :) The breakfast was also great, and the location is convenient, with easy access to many stores.

Very comfortable room and beds were great. We brought our medium size dog and they supplied a bed, water dish and food dish, which she loved. Very nice having a fireplace in the room especially as it was winter. Room was clean and everything worked well. The included breakfast in the breakfst room was quite good and they supplied gluten free toast for my daughter. The pool and area was clean and all functioning well. Service was great all the way around. I would go back again

Fantastic hotel with great service. The room is very clean. It comes with a hearty hot breakfast, and I just love the high quality shampoo and soaps in the shower. Everything about this hotel is great! It’s near the highway so you do hear some traffic but it’s barely noticeable. I love that there’s a fireplace in our room, and they welcomed us with a bottle of wine. I highly recommend!
