For the cost of the room, I wouldn't recommend. The beds were uncomfortable and the room wasn't very clean. There was a dirt ring around the bath tub, and the baseboards were falling off. We were given two almost empty toilet paper rolls. No kettle in the room, only a coffee maker which is awful for making tea. I wish that the hotel was more environmentally friendly and not use plastic cups in the room, wrapped in more plastic. The kids enjoyed the pool and the waterside and the room was a decent size. Breakfast quite basic, but it did the trick! We were here with our sons hockey team, so unless we were coming with a hockey team again, I don't think we'd stay here again.
Very comfortable room and beds were great. We brought our medium size dog and they supplied a bed, water dish and food dish, which she loved. Very nice having a fireplace in the room especially as it was winter. Room was clean and everything worked well. The included breakfast in the breakfst room was quite good and they supplied gluten free toast for my daughter. The pool and area was clean and all functioning well. Service was great all the way around. I would go back again
The rooms were clean and comfortable. We reserved a room with 2 queen beds for the lower rate and found it a bit crowded although there was more space and a table by the window which helped.I would recommend an alternate choice if space is an issue. The bathroom was large and lovely. We appreciated the variety of breakfast food, there is something for every food preference. Wifi worked best in the lobby, a bit sporadic in our room. Overall, A very comfortable stay.
Decent stay, comfortable room and bed, hot breakfast and good pool but (and this may not be a problem to you) the room was aggressively drenched in Fabreeze. Kept the window wide open 24 hrs a day (and declined housekeeping) and still made our eyes water after three days. You may like it but we found it genuinely foul.
Beautiful mid october week temps in the 20c, executive suite 4th floor facing south west. Sunrise reflecting off the tops of the mountains, wow! Clean super spacious, two bathrooms, living room fireplace and bedroom fireplce. Huge balcony and an incredible view ;) All amenities very clean and not busy that week at all. Canmore is surrounded by gorgeous nature, and nxt door to Banff. i would suggest a drive, google/map these destinations; from Canmore-GrassiLakes-SprayValleyProvincailPark-Mount EvanThomas-StoneyNakoda casino-Seebe-Exshaw (passing by Grotto canyon trail beautiful) back to Canmore!!! Just one of many-off the trans canada hwy
We enjoyed our stay! Comfy beds, a nice breakfast, and lots of fun in the pool! The waterslide was fast and great entertainment for our three boys. We had a carsick child when we arrived and the staff were so incredibly helpful, providing me with some cleaning rags and supplies. They were friendly and compassionate. It was nice to be able to use laundry facilities as well. Thank you, Pocaterra Inn, for giving our family an affordable and fun pre-christmas getaway!
This hotel seemed to be really nice & decent. The room we were in was beautifully & tastefully decorated. I was really impressed with all the lighting options in the room too. Free fresh cookies in the hotel lobby upon check-in. A pool & a hot tub available. Free hot breakfast buffet included in the morning. However, when I went to the washroom, there was this shockingly cheap one-ply toilet paper, that was so thin, it was like tissue paper & it was see-through (see pic). The toilet paper was very rough & we could see wood chips in it. It was like barn door toilet paper. Whoever orders supplies for this hotel - please do not cheap out on the toilet paper, as that one tiny detail can cheapen the entire experience for your guests. I know you probably think you are saving the hotel money, but you will end up losing the hotel money in the long run, with unfavorable reviews, and less bookings. The beds were comfortable, but definitely not queen sized, even though the standard room advertises that there are two queens in there. I have a queen size, I am aware of the size, and the beds in our room were definitely double beds (see pic). It was nice to have hot brunch in the morning included in the price. We arrived for brunch just after 9 am, but sadly some of the food was cold. They had scrambled eggs & sausages, which were nice & hot. But the hash browns & waffles were cold, so that was a little disappointing, despite everything else being good. Lots of coffee, a variety of juice, toast, mini muffins, refrigerated fruit & yogurt, cereal, etc. Also, the staff working in the brunch room were very attentive & provided excellent service. I would have given this rating a 5 out of 5, but the hotel lost a couple of starts in my mind, over the appallingly cheap toilet paper, and the couple of breakfast items that were cold. Also, odd that they would not advertise the room as having 2 doubles, instead of 2 queens. I would stay here again, but I would sure hope they have better toilet paper next time. If they still have this shockingly cheap toilet paper on our next visit, we will not be returning to this hotel.…
We arrived at the hotel in the morning, we planned to leave our luggage in storage and go for a walk. We were greeted by a smiling and kind reception representative, one of whom speaks Spanish. They were happy to inform us that our room is ready. We received detailed explanations about the hotel and its facilities. The room we got was large, clean, spacious, a small balcony towards the mountain view. The room has two very comfortable large beds. Spacious bathroom. There is air conditioning (we mainly used the cooler). There is a fridge. The hotel has a pool with a water slide, we didn't get to use it. There is a small gym (it wasn't enough for our son so he went to a city gym). There is ample parking, free for hotel guests. Buffet breakfast, a selection of things ranging from cornflakes to Belgian waffles, we did not find a similar meal in other hotels we stayed at on this trip. The hotel is at the edge of the town, towards the exit to Banff, convenient for going on trips, if you don't have a car it is less convenient in terms of access to the center. In front of the hotel there is a shop where you can rent bicycles. In short, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and highly recommend it.…
We were happy with our choice to stay at the Pocaterra. Front desk staff were friendly, room was clean and cozy, the pool and got tub area seemed clean and well maintained. My only complaint, and it’s really not a huge deal, was that the blanket on the bed was quite thin and light, and the hair dryer didn’t work too well. Still really enjoyed our stay though!
Loved this place especially when there were fewer kids (mine are grown)!! Lol. I’ve recommended this place to my sister who has 2!! The service was great, there was plenty of staff to help, a decent breakfast and quite clean. Would recommend and return!
