Fantastic hotel with great service. The room is very clean. It comes with a hearty hot breakfast, and I just love the high quality shampoo and soaps in the shower. Everything about this hotel is great! It’s near the highway so you do hear some traffic but it’s barely noticeable. I love that there’s a fireplace in our room, and they welcomed us with a bottle of wine. I highly recommend!

The 2 bed bedroom is of standard size, the bathtub was relatively clean. Breakfast was included, we thought it was going to be Continental but were hapily surprised to find the buffet. It seems that there is only one elevator, it's very slow and stops in every single floor even if no one calls it 🙄. Good option for the price of it.

What a gem of a hotel!! The location is great, and the staff are super helpful. We travelled with 2 seniors, 2 adults and a child and stayed for a week. The breakfast buffet was always stocked, food was very good with lots of variety (also travelling with a Vegan) everyone had lots of options! A microwave in the dining area would Be great for food that needed just a little heating up (like when other guests don’t close the lids) The pool and Waterslide were so much fun. Wifi was great! Also the hot chocolate and cookies in the lobby in the afternoons were such a nice treat The room, we got was 2 full beds and a pull Out couch. That would Be our only complaint was the pullout couch was very uncomfortable. Was loud and full of springs. Should definitely be replaced. Or just used as a couch. The main beds were so comfortable, and bathroom was wonderful with the best hotel shower, lots of water pressure and lots of hot water! The soaps and body wash that are available are so good, we went and bought some from the company downtown! So nice to have good quality products! And local! We will definitely return. And will recommend this hotel!

We stayed at the Pocaterra for a hockey tournament last weekend which meant the hotel was very busy.
The rooms were fairly spacious and the beds were also reasonably comfortable.
Location wise it is right off the highway and very close to a number of restaurants.
The cookies and hot chocolate in the lobby were a nice touch.
Complimentary breakfast was good and had a nice variety of choices (waffles, eggs, bacon or sausages, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, bagels, fruit, yogurt, coffee, juice).
The pool and water slide was fun for the kids. It got pretty wild in there on the Friday night. As a result it seemed that they really pumped the chemicals over the weekend. By Sunday my eyes were burning just sitting on the edge and my kids that had been in the pool were coughing up a storm.
Dogs are definitely welcome at this hotel which is amazing if you have a dog and like dogs (we didn’t mind at all). We were planning to bring ours and it was going to be an additional $25 a night.
Staff was always friendly and welcoming.
Could be a great family getaway to the mountains but I would just confirm that there are no big tournaments or anything the weekend you are going, as this hotel is a hot spot for families during those weekends.

We were visiting Banff National Park and were looking for hotels in Banff and Canmore. Being only a short drive away from Banff NP and with cheaper hotel prices, we decided to stay in Canmore. Banff seemed a lot more crowded and a little more expensive. After doing a little research on the local hotels, we decided on the Pocaterra Inn and Waterslide. It was a great decision. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here in September 2023. It is a very nice property but the rooms were the biggest takeaway. We reserved the Superior King Suite and thought it was a great value for the price. The room was very spacious and very nice; and when you are going to spend 3 nights in a hotel, you do not want it to be small and cramped. Our room had a fireplace and plenty of room to have some space. The front desk was very helpful with dinner recommendations and answering questions. The chocolate chip cookies in the evening were a nice touch. The morning breakfast was included and it was average but with everything else being so nice, that was ok. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Banff area.

We stayed here for one night while travelling through Canmore. The place caught our attention because of the waterslide. Our kids just loved it!
The property was everything we expected and more! It was clean, well-maintained and the rooms looked like they were recently re-done. The view from our room was simply breathtaking!
The beds were comfortable - the only negative were the pillows. They were hard and of low quality, but other than that, the sleep was decent.
Staff was friendly and helpful. We forgot our phone charger and were contacted in the afternoon to retrieve, once the room had been cleaned.
Breakfast was plentiful with eggs, sausage, bagels , fruit, cereal among other items.
You can't go wrong with staying here. We had an awesome experience and will return someday.

Wanted to take our kids for a night in the mountains as a break from Christmas and everything going on in the world. Booked this hotel on a recommendation from a friend and also from seeing the good reviews. Wishing I had just booked the more expensive hotel in Banff as we had a pretty awful stay. I was told to phone the day of our reservation to see if we can get an early check in. I called and the lady on the phone was anything but friendly and she insisted that they no longer let people call to check the status of your room, that you must walk in and go to the front desk to find out. Coming from out of town this was frustrating especially since two days prior when I booked they advised me to call. She repeated her self 4 times to me not even interested in what I had been told or had to say. She shouldn’t be in customer service with an attitude like that.
What surprises me most is none of the reviews talk about how dirty the pool area is. There is dirt and grime on the bottom of the pool especially under the water slide. The edges of the pool look like they haven’t been cleaned in years and the top of the white letters are actually brown with sludge. When you walk in you are taken over by the smell of chemicals as they appear to be using these to “clean” the water. The pool is small and they do not limit the number of swimmers, so it was uncomfortably full most of the time.
Our bathroom was not very clean, looked like the floor had not been swept, the roof of the bathroom has stains and hair, even the soap and lotion were covered in hair. The breakfast was not good at all… would have rather gone to McDonald’s or else where. Sausages were rubbery, waffles were rock hard. Lastly, our room was right near the lobby and the elevator. Which as you might guess was insanely loud. The elevator was super loud and was being used well into the night. People using luggage carts all evening and first thing in the morning on the tile floor outside of our room. We got maybe 4 hours of sleep and with a toddler who couldn’t sleep until 12am… we were miserable. Just to be woken up at 5 with slamming doors as the other side of the room was the parking lot. There was a dirty mask left on the patio.
Really feel like this was such a waste of a night away and will definitely splurge on a new hotel next time to avoid these issues.
I will say the front desk man was very sweet and helpful. The Rocky Mountain Soap in the shower was a nice touch.

I had such an amazing experience here. I decided to last minute book a trip put to Canmore as a little solo getaway. Once I arrived, I noticed in the lobby there were free cookies and iced tea for guests. I totally helped myself to a cookie, it was so yummy! Check in was easy and the people working the front desk were very kind and helpful. My room was clean, I had a beautiful view of the mountains, there was free wifi, and lot's of good channels on the TV. The pool great as well! I didn't go in the actual pool, I just relaxed in the hot tub, but there was a waterslide, and the family in the pool seemed to be enjoying it very much. In the morning, there was free breakfast from 7 am-10 am, and the selection was very good! Coffee, juice, cereal, toast, eggs, waffles, potatoes, like there was such a good selection for it being free food! The only reason why this hotel lost a star from me, is because the fitness room only had two treadmils, and that's it. Not a huge deal, but would've been nice to have some weights/ other workout machine in there. I will for sure be coming back in the future, and will recommend this hotel to others! (:

The room was large, well equipped and had a great view of Rundle and Three Sisters. Then the little things such as a large counter each side of the sink, a comfortable bath with plenty of hot water and simple controls, good free wifi, fridge, microwave and coffee maker, clean hardwood floor (much better than a carpet that never seems really clean). The breakfast buffet was very good. Families seemed to enjoy the pool and hot tub. They are just doing everything well.

We stayed ay the Pocaterra Inn years ago when it was affiliated with the Best Western chain. We booked two rooms - one for and one for our older son. I chose the Pocaterra for many reasons. It is on the main road with lots of dining options around there. It has a waterslide if you want it for younger kids but also a very large, spotless pool and hot tub. The hotel also has a spa and a fitness center. It was great to have a hot buffet breakfast at a hotel again, which was not available during the height of Covid.
Most of the rooms have fireplaces, which was a nice treat. The A/C and heat, I believed was climate controlled - just perfect temperature all day and night. The staff was great and were always helpful. A couple of very minor concerns were handled promptly. At the lobby they offer coffee all day and wrapped cookies which I had no control over and indulged with more than a few! We will definitely be back! I was looking to reserve during the high summer season, but when I saw the tourism levy tax I didn't book.
Everthing was very easy to get to. My only suggestion for future renos is instead of a square table and rather large to sit and admire the great mountain views (which because of the hotel design) was situated behind the table and very hard to sit down if you wanted to. Maybe next time possibly a small round table and some stools would it in the little area better. We were too busy to even sit down but I just thought I would give my feedback!! Absolutely loved everything - like my son said"Great find Mom"!! I had done my research!
