We spent a week here in a private room with 2 double bunk beds and private washroom while skiing at Sunshine and Lake Louise. This is one of the best hostels I have stayed at in terms of convenience, cleanliness and facilities. However there were a few disappointing features as well. The bunk beds were as comfortable as a thin...

I stayed at the hostel a few nights and I loved it. Carmen I think her name was, was especially great. She made me feel very welcome, and the sheets were well folded and clean! Thanks Hostel Bear, I'll definitely be making another appearance at your hostel soon!

Hostel features the wonderful mountain decor, found throughout Canmore, lots of exposed wood and stone. The amenities were very good; with nice small dorms with ensuite, a large fire lit lounge with a view, linens etc. What really made this hostel stand out was the host Grant. He was so welcoming, remembering me from a previous visit and what I...

It is a cheap hostel, so you get a basic service, the common areas are not bad, a little be dark in the first floor. But you have a big kitchen, clean washroom and comfortable bed. It is 5 min walking to the downtown.

Stayed over as I was driving and the weather did not cooperate, and hotels were full. It was what you would expect of a hostel, shared accommodation!. It was bit noisy when the trains went past, if yo stay here try to ask for a room towards the north(street) instead of back.

I visit this Hostel with a group of friends. We all slept in the same room. There was enough room for 6 people. We split the bill. The room was clean, the common areas like the kitchen and dinning room are big and rarely crowded. In the second floor there is a pool table, some couches and TV's. The hostel...

Overall nice hostel, with clean facilities and common areas. The heat was turned on a lot, which made the air really dry. Staff was nice and friendly. We only stayed here for one night. Location is pretty central in Canmore.

My husband and I stayed in a large room which would sleep 6. We wanted some room after travelling for 2 weeks. Own bathroom, coin laundry just down the hall. Yes, it is next to the rail on one side and road on the other, but so are many of the expensive hotels in this area. I used ear plugs...

I stayed in one of the dorm rooms at the Hostel Bear for two nights. I really enjoyed my stay here - the price was very good and the hostel is located close to the centre of Canmore (5-10mins walk). All of the staff were so friendly and really did everything they could to make me feel welcome. The dorm...
