We stayed here one night on our way from Calgary to Manitou Beach. Checkin was easy; we had a nice relaxed dinner with good food; our room with 2 queen beds was quiet and the beds were comfortable. My mum says if you're under 5 feet tall the beds are a bit high to get in and out of, but we had a good laugh so she's not complaining. :-)
All the staff made us feel very welcome.

Had a wedding to attend in this small town. Found this place on their website since the wedding party is staying here too. Parking lot in the front is sort of paved and past the liquor store its gravel and just plain bad. There is more parking at the other side of the hotel as well that's decent. Front of the patio the concrete pad was flooded a bit. Lobby has a faint smell of smoke but it looks decent enough. From the lobby, you can go to the restaurant or the bar or the pool. Checked in and was given two keys. Yes, two keys as this hotel was older and they have not upgraded their doors yet for swipe or key cards. Only one elevator and we can smell a faint smoke in the air too. Reached the 3rd floor and went in. There is a decent tiled area where there is a good sized mini fridge, coffee maker with coffee/tea condiments provided. Mugs and plastic cups provided too. The closet size was good in the area. Since we booked a one queen bed room, there is plenty of space to walk around and store our luggages. A luggage rack was provided too which was pleasant. 25" CRT TV on outdated drawer chest, outdated furniture in the bedroom too. Two chairs and a small square dining room table. Window have blackout curtains but no secondary lighter layer of curtain. Air conditioner is large and works fine. The bed is firmer and only 3 pillows are provided. The bathroom has a bathtub , low flow shower head, sink with little counter space and a toilet. Two sets of hand, face and bath towels provided. The toiletries provided are makeup remover (moist towelettes), shampoo and conditioner and two soaps. That's it.
Being a small town, your choices are not much but I mean one night stay here is sufficient and will do. I rather stay here than Super 8 Motel. The location is good as there are a few fast food places within walking distance, a grocery store, convenience store, gas station and a WAL-MART nearby.
And the hotel does try to please by providing a small pool with a water slide that actually goes outside the building partly. There are 15 rooms that have the option to face the pool and a door that opens to it. Although, if you want quiet, not a choice of room you should select. They have a bar that also serves pub food, a restaurant that also features a bargain $5 hot breakfast, a liquor store and they have ice/vending machines for drinks and snacks. They also have a large banquet hall that can accommodate a wedding and the food catered was not bad at all. Staff was friendly too. Room service is also available as well.
For short stays, this hotel would serve its purpose of providing decent accommodations at a reasonable price since there is not too much choices here in this town that can provide a lot of services onsite.

The hotel was fine. Our room (325) was a little dated, but the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet. There was lots of room for a cot, like something was missing. I booked a suite, but was bumped to a regular queen room with no comment. When I asked about it, they said that the 'compan'y needed it. No apology, and they charged me for the cot.

Old hotel that need some stronger management and a plan to renovate it.
We stayed one night with a teenager and a toddler. The entrance to the lobby is old, broken and dangerous to walk through. The lobby is old and outdated. The forms to leave info were almost white and not readable. We stayed in the new portion and was...outdated as well. Things fixed with tape, missing cover for the card reader, room smelled bad, was dirty, bathroom needs to be fixed for sure. Won't recommend.

Long story short, this is the worst hotel experience i've had in my life. They did even let me check in at 12 pm without a 250$ CASH damage deposit that they didnt give back plus made me prepay for my room and charged me 50$ for checking out late..I tore my ACL and was exhausted from travelling so far away from home so i did a last minute check in here. All the managers ignored me for the first 20min, then gave me the most disgusting room with mouse traps and holes in the carpets. anyways, due to my medication i was taking for my leg i accidently overslept a half hour and called downstairs to ask if i could book the room another night or get a late check out, the lady told me yes, then the male manager repeatedly kept calling the room demanding that i get out immediately because they needed to clean it, i can assure u all i did was sleep on one side of the bed, NOTHING else was even touched. Anyways By the time i got downstairs with most of my belongings it was 1:15. They wouldn't even let me put on clothes or shower before kicking me out. When i went to the lobby to try and figure out a new plan , get my bill and clarify what was going on the male manager kept telling me to be quiet and threatened to call the cops on me because i swore when they said they were keeping my damage deposit for being late checking out??? Anyways, I was so overwhelmed and scared I left and took my stuff to the bus depot.. I left 1 load of brand new clothes in the washing machine in the building beside and one in my room along with an expensive but priceless Marilyn Monroe painting. When i attempted to get it back every person i talked to said they "gave" my painting to a guy i was talking with in the lobby, literally, those exact words and they said they had my new clothes yet are not giving them back. I dont know why they treat people like this but i feel like they completely stripped me of my pride. I left that hotel in tears. & my painting meant more to me than words can even explain and my new clothes i just bought was a disappointment too. Im still working on getting my stuff back but im starting to feel like there's no chance i will. Any advice or help would be great too... But don't stay here as an opinion from a woman of color travelling solo. Ive never been treated like this. absolutely traumatising

We booked with the Kindersley Inn while we were in town for a wedding. Beautiful king suite room was great for our family with 2 small children. No problem with the room. Upon arriving home from our weekend I discovered an "Aden & Anais children's sleep sack" of my daughters was left. I remember leaving it on our bed. They are worth at least $50, not cheap. Called the hotel front desk and apparently nothing was found. Not impressed. So hotel stayers be ware, don't forget anything in your room because you'll never get it back!

Very poor service, we had booked 2 rooms, received confirmation numbers, upon check in they informed us that our rooms were cancelled. We did not cancel any rooms as they were a high commodity the weekend we were visiting Kindersley. So even if you have a confirmation number and confirmed them, they may not be there when you arrive. I would not recommend this hotel. The front lobby staff are also very rude.

We stayed here late one night driving across Canada. While the hotel was decent and had all the basic amenities, it was overpriced. This is a town that capitalizes on oil patch workers, and has no real customer service for travelers. There are only 3 real options to stay and most of the basic rooms are booked, so you end up with their more expensive rooms. The restaurant attached was again over priced for not that great of food or service. If possible I would suggest routing through the entire town.

Thank-you for your review. You are absolutely correct that Kindersley is extremely busy and it is very difficult to get a room due to so much oilfield activity. And as such it is recommended that you book your room in advance. Thank-you again for your comments - Mindy Smythe

External impression was grubby with accumulated cigarette buts everywhere. Foyer, hallways and room smelt of smoke - even though we were on a non smoking floor. Our room opened inwards to the pool area - so it was noisy until 10 pm and air had a chlorine smell. The room was drab and tired - however the bed was comfortable and furnishings clean and well presented. Front desk staff could have assisted by explaining there were three attached dining options (bar, dining & cafe). The hotel seemed focused on serving the longer staying contractors and not worrying about anyone else. Very expensive room especially since breakfast was not included.

I chose this hotel as it has alot of amenities. Restaurant, bar, pool, etc. I was told that all they had left was a suite so I reserved that. The last room (as I was told) was the room I went to. It was on the first floor and this room was small, old, and very run down. I plugged in the blow dryer and blew the breaker and had no power. I phoned the front desk and they told me they would flip the breaker but do not run anything but the blow dryer at one time. OMG. So I turned off the TV and the fan and just used the blow dryer and once again blew the breaker, no power. They said I may not have power for many hours. OK, I need another room! Next room I get is a suite. It is a smoking room, but what does one do? Now this new room is really nice! Great big new room, huge, with a seperate bedroom! REALLY NICE! Am I even in the same hotel ...wondering!! The restaurant and bar are both really fun and its great that they are adjoined to the hotel. The girl working in the AM at the front desk is terrific, but she did tell me she was on her last week of work at the hotel. I know this hotel caters to rig and pipeline people but I really can`t believe they would rent a room that the blow dryer blows the breaker! There is also NO PARKING!! OMG, I had to walk along ways, in very cold weather, lots of snow, just to get to the hotel from my parking spot!!
