The Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel garners praise for its aesthetically pleasing rooms that offer a palette of calm colors and spacious layouts, complete with cozy beds and well-fitted bathrooms. Its spotless cleanliness and strategic location within the airport terminal make it a haven for business travelers and those in transit.
While the hotel's amenities and responsive service receive commendations, some guests feel room upgrades could be more forthcoming, and certain amenities are lacking. Opinions on value are divided, with some citing the convenience as a fair trade-off for the price, while others find it steep.

Detailed Reviews
Stayed one night while changing planes in Montreal. This is a full service property with a nice restaurant and large bar. The rooms look like they have recently been remodeled in the new Marriott style with a glass panel between the shower and the room. The prices of the rooms and amenities reflect the location and convenience so this is not a low priced place to stay.

This was our first stay at this hotel. When our early morning flight to Florida was moved up even earlier, we decided to treat ourselves so that we would not be so rushed and so stressed that morning. It was a great decision, and we would not hesitate to do this again. The hotel is of course attached to the airport terminal, so you are at the check-out counter within a couple of minutes of exiting your guest room. The room itself is most comfortable, and the low-level under the counter lighting in the bathroom was most appreciated at night. Special kudos to Dmitri at the front desk who checked us in that night. In all of our travels (and we have travelled quite extensively in recent years, with many of our stays being in luxury hotels). Never before have we received such a warm and enthusiastic welcome. He helped get our vacation started on the right note

This hotel is great if you want to stay right in the Montreal airport- though that also makes it very pricey but it's worth it if you're waiting on a flight, etc. The rooms are large, comfortable and you can't hear much noise at all, we would never have known we were at the airport.
That said booking was frustrating... We wanted to book a room and the website said rooms were available but I couldn't book one for whatever reason. I then called the hotel directly where I was told that yes, they had rooms but I had to call reservations so they transferred me.
I then called reservations and the lady had the same issue as me where she could see that rooms were available but could not be booked. She suggested I call the hotel and gave me a number to get through. I called the hotel (again) and the woman I spoke with refused to book a room, she said I HAD to do it online or through reservations even though I told her it wouldn't let me. I ended up booking through a third party at a higher price and losing out on a 50$ bonus credit from my credit card.
I wrote to Marriott to voice this issue and they forwarded my comment on to the hotel- which I never heard back from so I guess maybe they both can't book rooms and answer complaints?

This airport hotel has been renovated (according to publicity) and is now absolutely beautiful, both in public spaces and within the rooms. Even though it is outrageously expensive (we spent well over four hundred US dollars for one night for a standard room), there were, however, many flaws. The beds were soft and lumpy, the safe did not work (even after a workman inspected it), the television control was difficult to operate and the shower was badly designed. When one took a very quick shower, the water collected quickly and was soon flowing into the bathroom and, if we hadn't created a dam with towels, into the hallway. Also the hotel coffee maker, complex without instruction, contained only decaf coffee. I should also add that the personnel behind the check-in desk were not at all welcoming.

I stayed here for the Montreal Grand Prix as part of a package. My room was large, bright and the shower was big. There is a fridge and safe. A few things stopped me from giving it 5 stars. The cafe wasn’t open Fri, Sat and Sun so I had to stand in line with people waiting for a table in the restaurant to get a coffee. I don’t really like to use the in-room machines as I never know when they were last cleaned. Monday morning it was open.
A 9 oz glass of Pinot Grigio was $21! I thought that was pricy. The breakfast buffet was also pricy but it was good. For the price I would have expected more choice. The drapes in my room did not block the floor to ceiling window so I woke up quite a few times once the sun rose. It was also quite noisy when people walked by my room. I was by the elevator so next time I’ll request one further away.
If you want your room cleaned and made up, you have to request it. I wasn’t told that on check in.
The spa was really nice. You can book online and the price for a massage was completely reasonable.
Room service was fast and the food was good - yet very expensive.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
There isn’t any delivery service available at this location such as Uber Eats or DoorDash.

If you need an overnight bed, this hotel provides a convenient option. If you need anything more, forget it. For an airport hotel, in an international airport, it is lacking in amenities found in virtually every other airport hotel worldwide. My wife and I arrived after a long overseas flight at about 10:00 p.m. and were hungry. We found that the restaurant and bar were both closed and there was no room service. Not only this, but there wasn't even any sort of food purchase option - not even vending. In this day, every airport hotel we have stayed in makes provision for evening or early morning food access. I did find vending machines which offered juice and soft drinks but one was out of order and the other required large amounts of coins. Again, every modern hotel with vending options has credit card-linked vending machines.
When we arrived at our room we found only 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel - for two travellers. We had to phone three times to get the proper number of towels.
This hotel clearly does not understand the needs of international travelers and has poor quality control. Together with very curt, bored service I would forgo the convenience and recommend choosing one of the other nearby hotel options.

Dimitri made me forget the Air Canada nightmare I had just before. We were welcome professionally with a smile and friendly attitude. He made sure we felt special and organized breakfast to be delivered at our room since we were leaving early the next day. The room were comfortable and spacious and the bistro food was excellent. I would definitely go back if a have a lay over in Montreal.

I have stayed at this hotel dozens of times and it is my go-to option when travelling through YUL. The hotel itself is beyond clean and modern. They've recently remodelled the rooms and the entire hotel has a very modern feel.
Beyond the modern feel, the hotel is spotless. The common areas are clean, there's hand sanitizing stations all over the place and the rooms are immaculate. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable and you can get a great sleep before your flight the next day.
The biggest asset of this hotel is its location. You literally don't have to leave the airport. You pick up your bags and walk straight to the hotel never leaving the building. You can wake up the next day and catch your next flight again without having to go outside. It's a huge relief if you've spent the day travelling. If you don't want to wait outside with crowds of people to catch a shuttle, this is a huge benefit.
I'm really not sure why anyone would complain about the staff. They are always extremely welcoming and friendly. As I said, I've had dozens of visits here and never once thought a staff member was rude. In fact, they welcome you like a regular whether or not you are. They're efficient and always willing to help. On one of my last stays I even had a hand written note from the manager thanking me for my patronage. That's the kind of service you don't see anymore.
I could say a lot more, but bottom line this hotel is exceptional. It's great to see some services re-opening after being closed due to covid such as the fitness centre and swimming pool. This hotel is like a 2nd home and I stay here whenever possible. If they allowed pets, I wouldn't ever stay elsewhere while in Montreal. The times I have to travel with my dog, we stay at the Sheraton instead. Please don't hesitate to book this hotel; you won't be disappointed. Thank you to the staff for always making me feel welcome and I already have another 3 visits booked; see you soon.

Rooms are very nice and location right in the terminal is good for travelling or if working at the airport. But the price is much higher than other local hotels, including in the bar and restaurant. Food OK but far from value for money and with limited choice. Breakfast buffet on the weekens is far better value than the menu in the week. Any way they can put staff between you and any service they will do, and then expect high tips as routine and not for any level of service. Very rude staff as a result who think a tip is a right not a reward.
I complained at one point as the service was so bad. The manager was very helpful but it made me feel uncomfortable doing it with the price tag for staying there so high

Stayed here barely 9 hours as I had an early flight and didn’t feel like getting up and commuting from the suburbs in the morning. Friendly check-in. I like that you have to show your vaccine passport to use the gym and or pool. The hotel still looks new, I got upgraded to our club level room, so I don’t know if that’s slightly more spacious or newer or nicer but it was nice, clean and modern. Things I noticed right away was the lightbulb in the shower in the room 822 was burned along with the light that runs along the top of the headboard. I dislike the opened shower concept but that seems to be growing in style. I would have given the hotel five stars until I went to bed. The pillows were some of the worst pillows I’ve ever encountered in a hotel room. If I had to guess I could swear that they were filled with cotton balls, extremely uncomfortable. For the first time ever I had to go get the pillows in the closet which were slightly better. The other thing is the hotel is extremely noisy. When constructing this hotel they knew that people would be arriving and leaving at all times of the day, so I don’t know why they didn’t make it more soundproof. I heard every door open and slam, and every guest in the hallway. I heard people flushing the toilet and taking showers in the rooms around me. Not great sleep quality when I had to wake up from my flight at 5:30 AM. Would stay here again but would most definitely ask for the floor with the least amount of guests.

Hi there,
I am sorry for the late reply as I have been traveling and at times no access to internet. Unfortunately,I am unable to answer your question.
Like Compass77 has answered earlier...you might be better off asking the hotel directly.
Apologies.
Hi,
Sorry for the late reply. I have been traveling and internet access has been sporadic at best. You don't have to fly out of the airport to stay at this hotel.
Hope you had a great stay or one that's coming up.
