Detailed Reviews
Modern, bright and great location for the airport. Parking is in an enclosed fenced compound, you can pay to park while on vacation and a bus takes you to the airport. Our king room was large, bathroom was reasonable size, perfect for our one night stay, but definitely very comfortable for a longer stay. Breakfast buffet is included in the price, unfortunately we had to leave before the 6 am opening. Would definitely stay here again. We ate at the restaurant and was very disappointed with the meal, the prices were low and that should been a warning, we both had the burger and fries, the burger was a dense mass of meat, pale and absolutely no flavour. The fries were soft, soggy and over cooked. The pizza looked ok, but I’m sure it was probably a frozen one not fresh. Our burger and fries were $16 each, so fits the quality of the meal. The wait staff were friendly and efficient, it was convenient not to have to leave the hotel.

We decided to stay here before our early morning flight. The property is covid conscious and very clean! The staff are also wonderful. Beds are comfortable and there is a large TV in the room. You get a to-go breakfast bag which consists of: oatmeal raisin cookies, a protein bar, yogurt, milk, orange juice, a piece of carrot cake, and an apple. I wish they had outlets next to the beds on the nightstand! Everything was great!

Must pay $20 extra for parking to access a gated lot. The gate doesn’t work. The parking lot is a construction zone. Access to the building only on one side so be prepared to lug your bags through a gravel rutted lot. On the way out, gate doesn’t work again. Ticket says you have to go all the way back to the lobby to get an exit code. So we do that and we find out all we needed was to press the button. Could have been done a lot easier. Pretty expensive stay for what you’re getting. Room was decently clean apart from hair all over our towel, and the sheets smelling pretty strongly of chemicals.

136lauriek, Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience while staying at the Fairfield Montreal. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and I sincerely apologize for failing to meet your expectations. Our gate has been damaged recently therefore the sensor is not working properly. We are transitioning with a new technology on the last week of August. Hopefully the parking access should be much smoother. I hope you choose to stay with us again when your travels bring you back to Montreal. Sincerely, Shoriful Haque Directeur général adjoint I Assistant General Manager Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites Montreal Airport

On march 23rd 2022 I booked this hotel for May 7th 2022 and requested parking for the week as we were travelling to the Caribbeans. The receptionist mention that a additional 18$ per day would be added and I approved. On my arrival at the Fairfield on May 7th I was told that no more parking was available for the week so a huge disappointment of this hotel. I had to make some arrangements with a friend in Laval to have my vehicle parked at his house for the week and for him to pick me up the following week. The entire situation defeated the purpose of booking a hotel before our holiday. Huge disappointment

It's unfortunate that this hotel is run by a bunch of clowns and ruined my vacation.
Room that was given to me had a very pungent and disgusting odor and when I complained, the front desk person said that they "didn't smell it" and there was nothing they could do because there were no more rooms. Even a little Febreeze would have helped.
I was told no manager was available to help me and that I had to suck it up, so I went to a different hotel at 3am just to get a room to sleep because I was not able to deal with the odor. Completely unacceptable room to have passed housekeeping. I ended up being out of pocket for the second room.
The manager then called the other hotel and gave out confidential details about my reservation that I did not consent to. Also completely unacceptable.
When I came back in the morning, I was given a new room and the manager on duty at the time said he would investigate and get back to me. Now that I checked out three days later, I'm still waiting for that a manager to get back to me. Again, complete incompetence for a manager to not be able to resolve a customer complaint.
Last, for the duration of my stay, I did not get any housekeeping despite asking for it and I had to run to the front desk multiple times to get towels and toiletries.
A hotel should sell a room that doesn't stink, give towels, and resolve customer complaints in a reasonable time frame. Three things that this hotel failed to do.
The manager I spoke to at checkout was also useless and continued to make excuses for violating confidentiality and made no attempt to rectify the fact that the first days of my vacation were ruined because of their incompetence, and that I had to go back and forth to the front desk at 2am to get toiletries and towels because they couldn't even do basic housekeeping.
A completely incompetent team at a hotel that I will never stay at again. I hope you don't either. Manager had no discernable contrition over his team being completely useless.

The most positive thing I can say about this hotel is that it is very close (about a mile) to the airport. It was also relatively clean. However, there were several small issues that, taken together, cause my low rating for this hotel. In my room, the lamp next to the bed didn’t work. I tried changing bulbs from another lamp but that didn’t work. The bed was really squeaky which woke me up every time I turned over or moved during the night. The worst thing is the operating hours of the restaurant. They advertise that it closes at 11pm, which is fine. However, it appears they almost never stay open that late. I arrived at 8:30pm and sat for dinner. At exactly 9pm the servers were talking loudly about closing early, yet the restaurant was probably 75% full and the bar only had a couple off empty seats. A lot of people overheard them and began rushing to get their orders in for food and drinks. At exactly 9:30pm they walked around announcing that last call would be at 10pm. This made people begin to leave. Some ordered drinks to go and the servers began loudly banging glasses and bottles as they started shutting down. It was clear they wanted us to get out but there were still people in the bar area as well as the restaurant. When they did make last call at 10pm I asked why they had to close early and the server responded, “look around, almost no one is here.” I wanted to tell her that it was that way because they had chased everyone out but chose not to pick a fight. I mentioned this to the front desk and the desk clerk said they almost never stay open until closing time. My very strong advice to the hotel is to stay open during your advertised hours. What happens to travelers who arrive late and need dinner but can’t eat because the servers are overanxious to get home early? Not good at all.

Shuttle bus goes every half an hour (you need to go upstairs to departures if you are coming from arrivals). Rooms were big and fit for purpose, did struggle with working the shower. Bathroom definitely dated but fine for a night at the airport. Breakfast was included and was basic but actually had most things, eggs, bacon, toast, porridge, fruit. Totally adequate. Hotel does everything it should for an airport hotel.

Close to the airport with shuttle service every 30 min that is very handy if you have an early flight. The restaurant is ok, since is far from other options, and is price fair. Nice rooms double glasses windows, make your night quietly. Is a little bit overpriced when compared with US standards.

Marriott front desk unhelpful. Their central booking also unhelpful. We were booked into the wrong location - we wanted downtown Montreal but booked airport. We arrived at the downtown location we have stayed a few times. Our booking at the airport location, booked by mistake, the airport location refused to refund. Be cautious booking this location. It is far from most attractions and staff unhelpful nor caring.

Parking is a very small area and they let us know when we checked out it would be $25 a day for it. Construction right beside the hotel. Pool closed. Just not the best for the price.
When we arrived their system went down and we waited for almost 30 minutes while they rebooted and no go. Had to put $250 on the debit card and go back when we checked out. Staff was very nice about it but a delay after a long trip is a delay.
The Doubletree across the street is a better bet.
There was a free breakfast that wasn’t bad at all, but a few fruit flies .

The staff at the hotel will be able to provide you with an accurate answer than myself. I suggest you speak to them. They are usually accommodating and very helpful.
There is but it didn’t affect the hotel or our stay. We did not hear anything while in the hotel. We are used to it coming from Toronto!
