Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Alt Hotel Dix 30 on Monday August 16th and had an amazing experience. We had a beautiful corner room with large windows and lots of natural light. They have the latest Nespresso machine: the Vertuo ones in the rooms. The bathroom is very functional. There is space to put stuff. We received a warm welcome from the staff. We even received a personalized handwritten card by the front desk manager Annick which surprised & delighted us. The hotel has complimentary underground parking. It fits large véhicules and it is directly connected to the hotel. I strongly recommend this hotel for an escape at Quartier Dix 30 or for a trip to the Safari Park.

The Alt DIX30 is a chic and contemporary hotel situated close to great shops and restaurants. The staff that i encountered were all friendly, courteous and bilingual; which is important for someone who doesn't speak french. An additional bonus is that parking (above or underground) is free.

A cozy cocoon with large ceilings! A WOW when entering my room:
Zen, modern, practical, comfortable, beautiful! Well done, very successful!
The bathroom feels like you have your own little spa; especially with the RAIN SHOWER. Thanks to the HD TV and Chromecast, I was able to continue my Netflix series. The office space is complete, for connection, fantastic!
In addition to being super comfortable, the bed offers space in the wall for books, controller, etc.
I took advantage of the hotel lounge and went to lunch at the Café du Théâtre, before a conference. All this from the inside and within a few minutes of walking.
Lots of activities to do around in addition to the shops.
pssst... a great pet store nearby, safari! Impressive!
Enjoy your stay everyone!

Overall I do not recommend this hotel. There’s no pool, the training room is super small with only few free weights and one training bench… due to COVID restrictions the exercise room capacity was reduced to only one user at a time. Upon arrival at 1425 hrs we tried to check in and we were told that the rooms were not ready and check in time was at 1500 hrs… we came back at quarter to 1500 hrs and we got the same answer… finally at 1500 hrs the line up was about 20 min to check in… and people that were coming, at check in time, were told there weren’t enough rooms ready and to come back 50 mins after ”the advertised” check in time. On the other hand, the room was super clean… lol…

Our company uses this hotel and send us here annually as well as other visiting guests. All the facilities are nice. There is no breakfast option but they sell goods at reception. Staff is bilingual. The shopping complex has other food options and lots of clothing stores. As well an shwarma restaurant Amir has opened in the same building. The bus back to downtown Montreal is outside the theatre in the same complex. Room and bed were comfortable. The noise can travel down from parties on the top floor.

We arrived at 2:30 pm in order to change clothes and get to a family wedding for 3:30. They refused to give us our room, or to find an alternative, simply repeating the company line that there is no checking before 3pm. All they would offer us was a public washroom on the second floor to change in. And top top it off I'm recovering from an injury and was hobbling about with a cane. What struck me was the complete lack of empathy or willingness to do a single thing to accommodate. The hotel has hundreds of rooms, surely there is one guest who left early. The hotel has conference rooms, a private office? Perhaps help us with our bags? Nothing was offered, the staff could not care less. I would have been satisfied if they had offered to help up with our things and maybe showed us the way to the public washroom. But nada, zip, just disdain at our poor planning I guess. This hotel has no heart.

Hello TN97, First of all, I want to thank you for your feedback. I conquer that different solutions could have been provided and we would like to apologize on the behalf of the whole team for the lack of assistance in regards to your apparent condition that you have described above (your injury). I can assure you that we usually offer an empathetic service but last Saturday, we struggled to respect the 3pm rule for various internal reasons. Nonetheless, I totally agree that the situation could have been handled differently and we could have offered a more intimate space in order for you to change clothes quickly as you were in a rush. This being said, I would be delighted if you could communicate directly with me at sgadbois@germainhotels.com because I would propose some options that could perhaps help redeeming ourselves and hopefully change your mind about us! Kindest regards, Simon G.

Ultra clean, and the most practical hotel near everything! The beds are wonderful, pillows soft and sleepy. There is no restaurant here but that’s where the practicality comes in. Restaurants everywhere around in the giant 10-30 sprawling shopping area. There are small breakfasts in the lobby for a minimal price and Nespresso coffee makers in the room with free pods. Free parking too.

You said it all : a clean room with a comfortable bed with all you need around, this is what the essence of Alt is all about :) I am sure your review will motivate more people to stay on the south shore of Montreal. Great location along Highway 30 and in the heart of DIX30. Free charging stations. Hotel that has invested in quality rather than quantity (bedding, products used, accessories, furniture...). Good value for money when we went there in January. Very helpful staff. Quiet and respectful clientele. However, the room could be a little cleaner (dust on surfaces and in corners). It should also be noted that the bathroom door consists of two shutters that do not bar, so privacy that leaves something to be desired.

I recently stayed at the ALT hotel in Brossard. It is located within the DIX30 shopping area as well within easy access to multiple restaurants. The hotel has a lounge area that is a pleasant place to work on your laptop, if you don't want to stay alone in your room. The staff are very helpful and eager to make your stay a great one. Since I first stayed here, in 2018, I have returned to this hotel when coming to the Montreal area.

I stayed at the Alt Hotel in Brossard for business over 3 days in October.
The area is a bit of a haul from Montreal unfortunately, and is an interesting area in itself. Everything seems to close early and / or not be open, its quite odd. That being said, there were a few decent places around.
The hotel had a nice inviting open lobby. I was upgraded to a corner room, which was bigger than others, but not huge, as it had a long hallway. The room has a modern / minimalist type feel to it. Bed was comfortable, and the in house nespresso maker was great.
Used the gym once. It was a bit small. Staff were very pleasant, speak English, and were welcoming.

Dear dogmantraveller, Thank you for sharing your last experience with us! It gives a clear snapshot of our facility for other travellers that would be hesitant to stay on the south shore when Montreal is too busy. As for your comment regarding the surrounding restaurants and shops, it's probably because your stay was between Sunday and Thursday, where the shops close earlier and the restaurants have irregular hours. However, slowly but surely since your stay in October, some restaurants have changed their opening hours on weekdays back to where they were before the pandemic and even new restaurants and shops have arrived! We hope to see you again on your next trip! Best regards, Simon

Uber and taxis are easily available from the hotel.
Public transit is also available but a bit more complicated.
Thank you for your question.
Unfortunately, we don't have any adjoining rooms.
Please don't hesitate if you have any other questions or concerns!
