This is a small family run motel. Room was very clean. Each room has a small fridge, microwave and TV. The fridge has a very small freezer section ... just big enough to fit 2 freezer packs for my cooler. The bed was comfortable, the pillows appear to be fairly new, and the sheets were soft and not starched like are often found in hotels. The bathroom is dated, no fancy frills, just a comfortable place to stay. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe here. It was easy to find and although downtown, it is on a quiet street just a short drive N of Hwy 401. (one block N of Dundas and one block W of Brock).

Nothing fancy, but very clean and centrally located. Proved to be the perfect location for us in Whitby. The staff were pleasant and helpful. You can walk across the street to a bar restaurant, and shops, but the motel was very quiet at night. Will definitely go back when in Whitby.

A recommended alternative to the bigger chain hotels in the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable, good for the solo traveller or couple. Remarkably quiet for the location. Exceptionally helpful owner. Good value for money. Rooms are clean and functional.

We stayed here while visiting relatives in Whitby. The room was small, but for a two night stay, this motel was clean, quiet and perfectly situated for our visit.
The motel is in a very quiet location with no more than 10 rooms, so any room assigned will do.

I have a severe allergy to tobacco smoke and perfumed items as well. When I arrived the owners wife was also in the office and told me they had not even used their usual sprays as they knew I was arriving.
The room was very nice. My only negative comment is, unfortunately there was an door of urine in the bathroom. I understand that de-odorizer had not been used, but felt perhaps a little more cleaning might have helped.
Having said all this, I would definitely stay there again.

We come to Whitby regularly and always stay here. The bar fridge and microwave are very handy for making breakfast and lunches. For dinner there are any number of restaurants within walking distance, even for us seniors. This is family run and the owner couldn't be more helpful. He has even on occasion stored some of our stuff until we came again.
We stay in #4 which is a fairly large room with 1 double and 1 single bed. This is an older style motel with parking right in front of the door for each unit, and we like that because it is easy to get our bags in and out. The rooms are very clean. The bathroom smells of bleach, so we know that they really keep cleanliness at the top of their concerns. This is important to us, since my husband is sometimes immunosuppressed from chemo treatments. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the below-window heater/airconditioner is a bit noisy at night.

Simple and clean, nothing to complain about. The location and price were right for our purposes, and we were happy with the room. Having the fridge and microwave was great. Check in & out was quick and easy.

My family stayed for 2 nights and we enjoyed our stay. The boss of the motel is friendly and easygoing. He allowed us to park our car at the motel for a couple of hours, even when we have already checked out from the motel.

The surrounding of the motel is beautiful, quiet and convenient. With walking distances to food outlets such as Tim Horton's and Wimpy's and convenient stores as well. I would definitely return to this motel for future stay.

The motel is old school. You park in front of your room and the door to the room opens directly outside. That made me very nervous (I guess I watch too many police shows). The room was very clean but absolutely nothing but a bed, a hard wooden chair, a fake leather retro chair, a mini fridge that wasn't very cold and small tv (maybe 28") mounted on the wall. All you really need for an overnight if you aren't going to be hanging out in the room much. BUT - the bed was HORRIBLE! My partner and I both were up hours earlier than normal, and got out of there as quickly as possible.

If you have back issues or any musculoskeletal pain go somewhere else!! We both can hardly move today.

A very friendly guy checked is in, it is quiet, easy to find and very clean BUT the mattresses are horrible!

We were looking for a place in Whitby to stay for one night while we were visiting friends . We were not looking for anything posh. We just needed a motel room that was clean, quiet and handy. Lucien Motel delivered. It is just a little motel with maybe 8 rooms - - It is a simple little motel. Our room was very clean -the room amenities were all in very good shape and the street location was surprisingly quiet. The manager at the desk was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely book this motel in the future. We did not need additional service for anything but I feel confident they would be very helpful if needed.
