The hotel is great for St. Jacobs and market. A little ways out of Kitchener/Waterloo. Staff was very good. The hotel is very clean (newer hotel). The room was very comfortable with all amenities, fridge, microwave stove top. Utensils and dishes in the one bedroom.

We really loved our stay at Staybridge suites - it has the best location right across the street from the famous St Jacobs farmers market, antique market, and outlet stores!
Staff were really friendly and had some great recommendations on what to see and where to eat in the area. We felt safe with the extra sanitizer and dividers at check-in.
Our room was clean and tidy, the beds were really comfy , we enjoyed the plush towels and the bathroom toiletries were fantastic (JR Watkins)
It was really great to have a kitchen area and we use the fridge to store all the items we bought at the farmers market.
We enjoyed our visit to the pool and we thought it was really cute that they had a splash pad for the younger children.

Our recent 8 night stay at this hotel was perfect. It's located across the street from the St. Jacobs Farmer's Market with a Walmart a 5 minute walk away. The village of St. Jacobs is a 5 minute drive away. The hotel is located on several bike trails, one that takes you through farmland directly to the St. Jacobs Village.
The front desk staff is extremely professional and friendly and were very accommodating to our requests during our stay. They are also knowledgeable about the area and local shops, etc.
The hotel had opened in June 2020 so everything was clean and fresh. The room itself was extremely clean and sanitized prior to our arrival due to Covid. The kitchen is equipped with the essentials for meal preparation. The appliances include a full size fridge with freezer, microwave, 2 burner heating unit and dishwasher. There is no stove/oven.
During our stay, the hotel offered complimentary breakfast. Due to Covid, the buffet style of service was replaced with a takeout style window in the dining room. The breakfast staff offered friendly and accommodating service. Tables were available for breakfast dining but we opted to take our food to our room.
Due to Covid, traditional daily room cleaning service was not offered, unless requested. However the front desk staff and cleaning staff were very quick to replenish anything necessary in our room when asked.
This hotel was ideal for our 8 night stay. We would definitely select this hotel again.

This was the perfect “home base” for our St Jacobs trip. Having a full sized fridge DIRECTLY across from the market was amazing. We were able to buy fruit and meat and not have to worry about having it in a cooler, or stuffing it into a small bar fridge.
They share a pool with the HI express next door, and I was worried about getting a time slot. We took a chance and went down around 3pm on Saturday and were the only ones there. The pool is super cool! It has neat waterfall buckets, an entire splash pad, and jets that make the whole pool feel like a jacuzzi.
The hotel itself is brand new, and the furnishings and fixtures are very nice. The lobby is gorgeous...
The room was clean and comfortable. We absolutely love the IHG bedding collection, and the mattress is ridiculously comfortable. Staff was super friendly and outgoing.
I really miss the Staybridge breakfast, but they are offering to-go boxes that are very substantial. They included a muffin, nutrigrain bar, bagel, banana, and a yogurt... plus real butter, jam, and cream cheese. They have fresh coffee in the lobby too. The only thing that would have made it better would be some juice, but that is available for purchase in their little pantry.
Overall we had a lovely stay. Thank you so much Staybridge Suites Waterloo! We’ll be back.

Extremely clean and brand new! We stayed at this hotel for two nights with our three children and dog. The kids LOVED the pool - it has a splash pad and a great area for swimming. Keeping self distancing in mind, you sign out the pool in 45 minute segments so that there is no more than 10 people at a time. It was wonderful to have our dog with us as he is a big part of our family. The breakfast buffet had two friendly and patient staff that took our orders and prepared our plates safely for us. This hotel is across the street from the amazing farmers market, and outlet mall. I highly recommend Staybridge in St. Jacobs!

I have NEVER EVER stayed in a hotel room this filthy. We called the front desk to complain about the food in and on the sofa bed, the dried food spillage left on the counter, dirty kitchen sink, floors with a sticky substance, pills left on the floor, toothpaste splattered on the bathroom sink backsplash, etc, etc, etc. The desk clerk came in and started to dust the food off of the sofa bed and we had to suggest she get a vacuum. When she left there was still veggie straws in the bed and nothing else cleaned. In this time of COVID this is so unacceptable. I can’t even begin to explain how uncomfortable we were having to stay there as there were no other rooms available or any availability in nearby hotels. Please don’t stay here. It is a dump.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Staybridge Suites at St. Jacobs for 2 nights. Our mini getaway was amazing. We travelled from Hamilton and the hotel was super easy to find and the location is great. It's steps away from the Market , outlet Mall ,Antique Mall ,a great family restaurant and only a short drive to St Jacobs Village. (which is all decked out for the Christmas season ) . Check in was a breeze with friendly staff through out the hotel. "Twinkie" was a pleasure at the front desk and made us feel welcomed and relaxed. The hotel is super clean and COVID rules we followed by both staff and guests. The room was fantastic and honestly had everything you would need to stay longer. We shopped at the market the first day and stocked our Kitchenette with snacks and drinks. Excellent for families on a budget. The larger suits can accommodate families with pets too! Comfortable beds and plenty of pillows. Even the toiletries were top notch, J.B. Watkins brand. They have a pool and gym , laundry and meeting rooms. Breakfast was included and had so many choices with plenty of room to social distance or have breakfast in your room. Lots of free parking on site. The St Jacobs Sparkles festival is going on right now which features horse and buggy rides and beautiful Holiday decor - great way to buy local and see historic buildings. We also had dinner next door at Jack's family Restaurant. They have huge selection and excellent food. They also do family platters for you to take out. Forget Niagara Falls, there is so much to see and do with the kids at St Jacobs. We will be returning to this charming spot with our children for the next trip!

We recently stayed at the Staybridge Suites Waterloo St Jacobs and the experience was great due to several factors, but in this review I want to highlight 3: staff, location, and structure. First, the entire staff was great. They went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible (and people that travel with small children as we do know how this is important). Second, the location is perfect: few steps from St Jacobs'Market, and 4km to the village of St Jacobs. A perfect location to explore the area. Finally, our 1-bedroom room was equipped with everything we needed (full kitchen, extra pillows and 2 TVs). Everything was extra clean and new. Our kids enjoyed the pool area and the splash pad was perfect! Breakfast was great too. We loved our experience and want to come back.

We had a fantastic stay at the Staybridge Suites. We had a 2 Queen Suite with a full kitchen (full fridge, stovetop, dishwasher, cutlery, plates), breakfast bar, sitting area with a pull-out sofa, and a bedroom with 2 Queen beds. Both spaces have a TV and separate heaters/coolers, which is a plus if you're sharing the space. My mom likes it warmer, and we like it cooler, so we were all comfortable.
The hotel has a great saltwater pool with a splash pad for kids and really cool water elements in the pool. You'll find a huge gym that does not limit your gains. Plus, you get a free hot breakfast every day. For longer stays, you have free self-serve laundry available.
The hotel is right across the street from St. Jacobs Market, making it perfect for enjoying all the shopping surrounding the area. You just leave your car at the hotel and walk over. It's also really close to the beautiful St. Jacobs Village, where you can go shopping and find delicious dining options. You are also close to Elora, which is another cute town to visit.
The best part of the property is that the location was clean, the staff was friendly, and all COVID protocol was followed. I felt comfortable and safe during our stay, and we can't wait to go back. My husband and I are looking to get away together alone for some shopping, dining, and adventure together. So, we will be back!

I live in nearby Kitchener but wanted a fun getaway with my 9-year-old. We have stayed at the adjoining Holiday Inn before, but wanted to experience a new hotel. We were not disappointed! They had a weekend promotion so I was able to get a suite with 2 queen beds. It was just like a little ultra modern apartment! We walked over to Jack’s restaurant. It is a favourite of ours. The hotel front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. She thanked us for supporting local. They have a booking system for the pool so there are no more than 10 people in the pool at a time during covid. It is very shallow (I could touch the bottom everywhere) but great fun with features children will enjoy. Check other reviewers’ comments which covered a lot already (including covid boxed breakfast, benefits of a full size fridge, etc) One thing I will add is if you forget anything, there is a Walmart right up the street. I also really like the value village, antique market, country bulk and TSC stores that are quite close by. A very enjoyable mini vacation at Staybridge!
