We had a wonderful experience at this hotel! The building was tastefully decorated and quite clean. Our room was a good size and again very clean. More importantly, all the staff were pleasant and professional. We especially thought the front desk people were outstanding. Parking was not an issue. The attached bistro has a limited menu but the meals we had tasted great. The hotel location is convenient for the market and there is a restaurant just a 3-minute walk away. Would certainly stay here again!

We booked a room for three persons, the room was very small, not even comfortable for two. Usually it should have two double beds but had only one double bed and a sofa where a person can sleep uncomfortably. No locker in room, no hair dryer in washroom. Waterloo is a village type, so nothing much to see. But the Jacob’s Farmers Market is worth viewing (open on Thursday and Saturday only).

The hotel is very comfortable and modern. The staff from the front desk to the housekeepers and restaurant staff are all very kind and courteous in every manner.
The rooms are spotlessly clean, well appointed and the beds are comfortable.
The downside to the hotel, and what I feel is letting it down, is the noise coming from the water pipes. We were kept up late into the nights and woken up at 5 am every morning with the noise, and it is loud. The front desk changed our room from 218 to 213, but it made no difference. We also had somebody in the room above walking very heavily periodically until 2 am every night, and again in the early hours of the morning. The person was stomping and it disrupted and disturbed our sleep. We also encountered one night, a very noisy party of people in the hallway, opposite us who took to horse play, shouting and running up and down immediately outside our room keeping us up.
We did not get much sleep, and at one point, we were looking into moving hotels. But as we had already already packed up and moved rooms once, we were too tired to do so again as we had only two more nights left. If you are sensitive to noise, then I do not reccomend staying here.

We recently stayed on a Saturday night, visited the nearby St. Jacobs market. Found the room to be adequate, well cleaned and bright with big oversize windows. There was a hand sanitizer left to clean the remote control for the TV, so many remotes at hotels are filthy.
There were a few cobwebs on the ceiling of my room that were missed, though overall there wasn't much dust on the furniture. Noticed many dead bugs in the hallway wall sconce lights too, and big handprints of a child on the ice maker.
Special requests for non feather or down pillows were ignored. I always pack a "My Pillow" for these kinds of trips. The doors slam hard when they close, so if you happen to have rowdy children for a hockey tournament or a loud wedding party, you should expect to be awaken in the night. Our room had an oversized hot tub, and the model they installed was deep and slippery, no grab bars to help you get in and out.
Disappointed by the "Bistro", it was not much of a restaurant though the wine prices were cheaper than other restaurants. If you want a decent meal, nearby Jacks down the street or The Crazy Canuck attached to Market Road Antiques is a better bet. It seemed like the offerings in the pantry were bare, they only had Pepsi products, and no orange juice after the brunch rush.

We were guests here for 1 night and were disappointed. The previous night we had stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites & it was $50.00 cheaper. We had to purchase our breakfast of scrambled eggs, homefries, sausage and toast for my husband and I ordered oatmeal and blueberries and a bagel with cream cheese. The coffee was complimentary and our bill was $29.95. We should have gone to Jack's Family Restaurant for a decent breakfast. The shower had not been updated and was still a tub with a shower curtain and no hand held shower faucet. The drain closed on my husband and we had to manually hold the stopper up to drain the tub. We wouldn't stay here again.

Our trip was almost ruined - and the main problem was breakfast. They say that breakfast is "available", so we were expected a standard buffet style breakfast for which you pay extra. However, the only thing they have outside was coffee and if you want breakfast you need to order it. We had to drive to Niagra Falls that morning and had a very tight schedule, but we need to eat something. Not only everything was overpriced (I had a bowl of oatmeal with a couple of blueberries thrown in for $9 or so, but there was a line in the restaurant, and they were in no hurry. Eventually we ordered some food and then had to wait for it to be brought to our table. The food was OK, but we spent close an hour there rather than 15-20 we were counting on. As a result, we missed the safari trip planned on that day. This really makes no sense, if people want a leisurely breakfast and are willing to wait for it, this is fine, of course, but they must provide the option of a quick one for the travelers who are in a hurry. The hotel is on the smallish side, but clean overall. The staff is not very welcoming and completely untrained. When we were checking in, they were quarrelling because the printer did not work. Thet were not rude, but they asked some personal questions, which are really not appropriate from the hotel staff. There was fairly loud music in the lobby at night and when we asked to turn it down, they said that they would not know how to do it (!). Overall, a huge disappointment, considering decent reviews they have.

My now husband and I stayed here from February 19-February 21. We were there for our wedding. This was one of the worst hotel experiences we have had. To start off, when my then fiance checked in he was never told that we had to order our breakfast the day before and that it would be $8.00 for breakfast in a bag that maybe cost them $3.00 to make.
We paid extra for a fireplace that you could hardly see the fire unless you were sitting on their uncomfortable couch. You could only feel heat from it if you were standing right in front of it and when you had it on it was attached to a timer that ticks just like a jacuzzi timer! We were told the room was recently renovated but the caulking in the bathroom looked terrible and the shower leaked all over the bathroom if you didn't put a towel at the base of it before you turned the water on.
We chose not to get a jacuzzi suite because I am pregnant and it is unsafe to be in a jacuzzi during pregnancy. We figured there would be a bathtub in the room to take a bath but unfortunately it was just the standing shower that leaked everywhere.
The fridge in the room made a buzzing noise that made it really hard to sleep and on top of that the bed was so uncomfortable. Between the two nights that we stayed there I got about 7 hours of sleep because of how uncomfortable the room was.
We tried to solve this problem before making it public by letting them know our problems during our stay. Their solution was 1 free night in a similar room that we could use any time for up to a year of our reservation. We figured this wasn't a fair solution because of all the problems we had. Instead we asked 1 free night in a jacuzzi suite (reminder we stayed for 2 nights that were bad for our WEDDING!) They responded saying that if we wanted that we couldn't use it on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night because "they are always booked up". There is no way I wouldn't be able to go to an evening in December 2021 and get an available room on a weekend. We are not about to take time off of work and lose money that way to get a free room in a hotel that was terrible.
We were going to have our wedding block here (when we can have our wedding reception in the future) but there is no way I am going to make my guests stay at a hotel like this! We will not be using our free night and we will never be coming back!

To the wedding couple, again I reiterate our apologies for what was clearly an experience which did not meet your - or our - expectations. An offer to return on a complimentary basis in order to allow the hotel team to redeem our reputation in your eyes remains in place - with no limitation of the timeframe. My original statement was that it be preferably within the year but if your circumstances are such that this is not convenient, any date would be welcome. The past cannot be changed, only choices for the future.

My husband and I stayed here for over a month while our apartment was being renovated due to a flood, and the staff were nothing but supportive and accommodating during our stay. We always felt welcome and it really was like home to us for that time!
We had to renew our stay multiple times since we weren't sure when we were able to move back, and they graciously were able to keep us in the same room without issues.
Big shoutout to the amazing cleaning staff who did an excellent job and were super friendly and approachable, as well as Kay, the general manager, for being so kind and flexible, and making sure we felt the comforts of home.
