Stayed here with my family. Brought the dog so we were put in a room in the basement of the building. The room seemed fine, pillows were lumpy and weird, the bathtub wouldn’t drain as you showered, and the toilet chain kept breaking off inside the tank. The room has two beds yet the bathroom only had two towels (should have 4, to accommodate a 4 person room) shampoo, lotion and conditioner was the cheap 80s stuff. Picked this hotel cause it mentioned a hot tub (there isn’t one). They have free wifi but it didn’t reach down in the dungeon of our room. I remember this hotel in the early 2000s and it was nice, however it is now dated and needs a lot of work and improvements. Judging by the other reviews I’m sure the owner doesn’t care or doesn’t want to put the money into fixing this place. Shame. I’ll give it a 2 star for location.

We decided to take the grandkids on a mini vacation road trip and figured Sandbanks was a good destination. There are not many places to stay close to the beach unless you are camping. I found the Wyndham Trenton to be a good place to stay and the price was very reasonable. It is a 45 minute drive each day but the road is quite nice with absolutely no traffic at all. The hotel was clean, quiet and close to many restaurants . There is a pick up breakfast of all kinds of goodies and the kids enjoyed filling there take out bag every morning. There is an inside pool but we were happy with the swimming at the beach .

The Ramada in Trenton is a great place to stay and close to the main highway with easy access to downtown. The restaurant and pub are also a nice amenity to enjoy. I always enjoy looking at the authentic CF-5 fighter jet on display at this location.

TLDR: Do NOT stay here. Save yourself.

We stayed here for just one night for a friends wedding. We payed $320 for a loft room with a queen bed which we thought sounded pretty nice (especially for that price.) We should have paid $50 maximum. What a nightmare this hotel is. First off, we called to see if we could have a slightly earlier check in than 3pm so we could make it to the wedding on time. The man was not only not accommodating, he was very rude on the phone. So then we show up at 3 to check in and here begins the most nightmarish hotel stay of my life. While the outside of the hotel looks inviting enough, the inside hasn’t been renovated since it was built. Calling this place “dirty” doesn’t begin to cut it. On the way to the room, there were ceiling tiles falling out of the ceiling and there was dog pee on the rug in the elevator. Our room was somehow worse. There was BLOOD splattered all over the bathroom doorframe and wall. The toilets wouldn’t flush (ew) and the shower wouldn’t work (water was constantly pouring out of the tap even when it was off.) There was mould in the shower. The bedside lamp wouldn’t work, the plugs near the bed wouldn’t work, the TV had maybe two stations that were somewhat visible, all others were just noise. The TV wasn’t even plugged in when we got there. The bed was so sunken in the middle that we rolled towards each other all night. So uncomfortable. They also didn’t provide us with a Do Not Disturb sign to put on our door, so housekeeping staff were pounding on the door and trying to get into our room before 9am (checkout is 11.) When we went to check out, the housekeeping staff were yelling at us from down to hallway to make sure we were checking out. After the state of the halls/our room, we didn’t chance the pool or the breakfast buffet. The manager was not available to speak to us about our concerns but we were reassured that we would get a call from him. We never got a call despite multiple calls to the hotel since our stay. We eventually got ahold of an assistant manager who said we would be getting a refund from the hotel (which we never did) so we ended up having to go through our booking agency for a refund. What a headache. We showered after we got home because we felt gross from having stayed there. I suggest sleeping in your car instead.

First and foremost, if you ever come across their maintenance person (D), don't speak with him. He is beyond incredibly rude. He intimidates the staff! I feel incredibly sorry for the staff (who were otherwise good) for having to work with a bully. As a client, I can stand up to a bully and I hope it will makea difference. To add to everything, he also walks in without knocking on your door.

We have stayed at this property many times and the maintenance of the building continues to suffer. D readily admitted that electrical didn't work in many rooms (so only half the room had electricy). He always blames the clients but no repairs. In our room the toilet clogged with only urine and a bit of toilet paper. The water valve for the toilet won't turn... so it caused a flood. At the end of the day you will be blamed for trying to help and acting reasonably.

Currently not worth the night's stay at any price. Will never return.

FYI - We did complain to management and not surprisingly, they did nothing. Will let Wyndham know how this reflects on their brand. As someone else said... Below Ramada Standard.

I strongly recommend not staying here until the covid-19 pandemic is over. We weren't expecting a 5 star hotel but the staff are not acting safely. There are signs everywhere saying you have to wear a mask in all public areas. However, most of the staff had their masks around their chins (not covering nose/mouth) and some weren't wearing any at all. The lady putting out the breakfast was not wearing a mask. The desk staff, including manager, took off their mask to talk to you. The housekeeping staff had no masks on. We opted to not have our room cleaned during our stay to keep the contamination to a minimum.
My worry is that if they are blatantly disregarding this safety, how else are they cutting corners? I can't imagine they are disinfecting doors, elevators, etc.
The rooms are otherwise as you would expect. Dated, moldy showers, etc. But again, that's what you pay for.
Also, the first room we were given keys to was someone else's. Thankfully no one was naked when we opened the door. The manager was at the desk when I went back to reception for a new room. I got no real apology, just new keys.
We won't be going back...

I organized a block of 6 rooms for some of my wedding guests to stay in. I worked with the manager Liam who helped me booked the block for 12 guests staying in 6 rooms. I provided my credit card information and requested early check in for the 6 rooms in order for my guests to unload their luggage before getting on the shuttle bus to my wedding venue. All I asked for was a 1:30pm check in so my guests would be ready to get on the 2:15pm shuttle bus. The hotel was extremely accommodating, would not allow even one room to check-in early. They ignored my guests and prioritized every other patron before my guests. It was an extremely terrible experience and ended with my guests all having to bring their luggage with them to store at my venue. I understand that it is difficult to guarantee early check in but i can't see how a 1:30pm check in for even 1 of my 6 rooms would not be possible. I would 100% recommend never using this hotel for your wedding needs and literally finding any other hotel in the area. So extremely disappointed after all i did to try to work alongside the manager Liam to get this organized.

Very dingy hotel that has not been kept up . Room needed painting, and looked like it needed a good clean.
No hot water from the moment we checked in,(boiler was broken)which we were not made aware of.
We paid in full and the day after we got home we were given a discount of $24 off of a $162 bill

Over priced. Why am I being charged for using a credit card....? Don't appreciate the cost of using credit being passed onto the customer.

Rooms were very basic. Front desk person during the night/early morning could have been better. The hallways are kept very very cold.

Disappointed. We stopped going to Ramada hotels about 10 years ago, because of the lack of Service, and when you could get service, it was inadequate at best, terrible at worst. About 18 months ago We decided to try again, as the Ramada was now owned by Wyndham, and we were always happy with Wyndham. It was great. Great Value, nice clean room, great amenities. This Hotel, in Trenton, hasn't reached the level of a Wyndham Hotel, nor does it deserve the Name. It was a Ramada right out of the 90's. Old Decor, bad plumbing, fuzzy TV picture, terrible beds, stiff sheets, dirty room, most likely due to a cleaning staff that just doesn't care. Although I'll be going back to the area many times in the next year or so, I won't be going back to this Hotel. You probably shouldn't either.
