Really enjoyed this Holiday Inn Express on a recent quick trip to Pembroke. The hotel was exceptionally clean and breakfast was great. We didn’t use the pool, so I can’t comment on that. I always enjoy the Holiday Inn Express and this was no exception.

Came in for a drink with a friend of mine, I traveled from Cornwall so was a long trip. Had a lovely warm welcome from Raquel what a delight such a lovely smile. Tbh the whole team were very friendly but she deserves a mention. Next time I am down I shall come in again.

We found nothing out of sorts. It was as we expected. We slept well and found our room to be fairly quiet. Breakfast in the morning was also pretty good. If we are in this area again I would stay here.

If you've been driving a long time, have already had a bite to eat, and if you don't mind some road noise or the lack of scenery, this is a decent enough place to grab some shut-eye. It's clean and orderly, with some nice design touches, and the people who work here try to be helpful, but for me it was just another bland lodging built as a quick stop-and-go for people hurrying along a highway, in this case, the Trans-Canadian. There were a couple of other lodgings in the cluster, one of which had an eatery that did not seem very appealing to us, although it was right there for a meal if you needed one. We wanted something with a litte more local color, and we hoped to find some good local food. We decided pretty quickly to drive the 10 or so miles to downtown Pembroke, which was an interesting and historic town to visit, with good places to eat and drink, and a nice rails-to-trails pathway that will take you to a pleasant park right on the Ottawa River. There is a lot of railroad history in Pembroke, too. The visit there made this stop worthwhile. If you do stay at the Holiday Inn Express for whatever reason -- brand loyalty, convenience or sleeping comfort, then with some free time on your hands, I'd recommend you get out and enjoy the local ambience in downtown Pembroke. The drive's a bit tricky so be sure to ask for directions.…

The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. We were disappointed in our room #321. We could not operate the TV even though we followed the instructions. At the first try we could not be bothered with further instructions e.g. such as if that did not work try this. We could not close the room darkening curtains and as a result, the sun was streaming in at sunrise. Although we were happy the shower had safety bars it was really weird that you could not reach in to set the dial for the water temperature. There was only one door so you had to get into the shower before you could operate the dial

Check-in and check-out service was very fast and the ladies at the desk were quite friendly. The room we had was very clean and appeared to be well maintained. The wi-fi worked well for us. The complimentary breakfast was just what we needed, offering both hot and cold options and it was nice that they changed the hot items offered over the two days we were there, just to change it up a bit. The machine which allowed you to make your own pancakes was cool!

The hotel is very quiet and the rooms are a good size. The bed was a king and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful on check in /check out. There is a nice pool and breakfast is included. We would definitely stay here again when we are in Pembroke.

Great room and service! Adequate sized room with microwave, fridge, iron and board, and Keurig machine. Comfortable bed and the most amazing pillows. Continental breakfast, pool and exercise room. Vending machines though need updating but you can go to the front desk for fresher snacks. I would very much like to purchase the same pillows used as I have neck problems and your pillows provide the exact support needed. However I am confused when searching on line I find that there are several pillows used by Holiday Inn Express including: Touch of Down feather and down soft support, Polyester firm support. Could you confirm which is the correct style used by your hotel?

The hotel is clean and modern and the front desk staff are super helpful and friendly, rooms are spacious and well maintained. There is a complementary breakfast however if you want to take it to your room, they give you a bag of sugar and carbs and not the option of taking the hot food upstairs (which is really disappointing considering the price of the stay per night and its my choice to eat in my room) Don't bother asking for a late check out either, apparently 30mins extra for someone with platinum elite status won't ever happen, yet as I sat in the lobby waiting several rooms checked out late with no issue. I gave this hotel an average rating as there is much improvement needed when dealing with paying guests.

We were guests last weekend and had a very poor experience. Although the hotel was clean and beautiful, the staff needs better training, or more of them are needed. The only front desk person was on the phone and made us wait a very long time for our room. We ended up late for a wedding. The beds were sloppily made. The remote for the TV didn't work. Breakfast, which is supposed to be excellent, was non existent. At 9 am on Sunday morning there was a line up of 10 people for the buffet and there was no food. Every once in a while someone would come out and add a few pieces of bacon and a scoop of eggs to the pans. The pancake maker was not working. The only fruit was green bananas. There was no juice. This is obviously a management problem. I hope this poor performance is not indicative of other HIE locations.…
