Algonquin College and Pembroke Regional Hospital are within minutes from our hotel. Pembroke and the surrounding area offer many attractions for visitors of all ages. Spend a day in Algonquin Park or Logos Land. Enjoy the mystery of the Bonnechere Caves or catch a thrill at Chutes Cloulonge Zip Lining. Snowmobilers can take advantage of acres of breathtaking trails through the Ottawa Valley with close access to Quebec. The area is filled with year round activities for every traveler. While staying with us, enjoy our complimentary hot breakfast each morning.

Really enjoyed this Holiday Inn Express on a recent quick trip to Pembroke. The hotel was exceptionally clean and breakfast was great. We didn’t use the pool, so I can’t comment on that. I always enjoy the Holiday Inn Express and this was no exception.

This was about our 10th visit to this hotel as it is near family. It is excellent. The staff are friendly, it’s always clean, it’s in a very safe spot, the outdoor parking lot always has space for our lifted pick up truck and breakfast is good. We like the pillows and mattress so much that we bought the same for our house!
With Covid, some things had changed. It was even cleaner. Our room entry pad had a sticker saying that it had been sanitized for us. We had to wear masks in all common spaces. For Pool time, we had to let the front desk know so that they could limit the amount of people. At another hotel we had to reserve 1 hr ahead of time and only 1 group was allowed in at once, with cleaning in between. Here, the pool seemed quiet as we never saw anyone else using it.
For breakfast, we were given a checklist to mark everything we wanted for the next day. It was generous! We could each pick a drink (choc milk, reg milk, various juices); a main (breakfast sandwich, cereal, oatmeal etc); a side (yogurt); another side (a muffin- or on some days, a hard boiled egg); a fruit (orange, apple or banana) and the accompanying condiments. I ran down every morning between 6:30-9:30am on the weekend and 7-10 on the weekends. They gave it to us in a box or bag that fit perfectly in the fridge. And you could ask for coffee or tea while there.
Overall, we felt very safe and will be back again.

We have family in Pembroke, and visit several times a year. From the day the Holiday Inn Express opened, it has become our favourite place to stay. The hotel is modern and clean, the service is genuine, and the rooms are large and comfortable.
On this visit, during the pandemic, we were reassured with the hotel’s safety precautions. When we brought back take out restaurant food, the front desk was helpful to provide cutlery and plates and serviettes. The complimentary breakfast was modified for the pandemic, but was still prompt and satisfactory.
As with our other stays, the complimentary wifi in our room was strong enough for video streaming. With limited options for family visits, Wi-Fi streaming for an evening was most welcome.

I am an IHG gold member and I was in the Pembroke area on business for a day and decided to stay at the HI Express. Hotel is clean and appears to be new but not very occupied obviously with Covid still raging. The room that they gave me is very small and with one tiny window. Bathroom is also very small. Kinda depressing since they could have given me a freakin suite due to very low occupancy In comparison the rate seemed very high - big city price high so again not sure what is happening here but needless to say I won't be returning I haven't posted in a while but the style of this property's business to IHG members seems sloppy and I personally felt disrespected

The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. We were disappointed in our room #321. We could not operate the TV even though we followed the instructions. At the first try we could not be bothered with further instructions e.g. such as if that did not work try this. We could not close the room darkening curtains and as a result, the sun was streaming in at sunrise. Although we were happy the shower had safety bars it was really weird that you could not reach in to set the dial for the water temperature. There was only one door so you had to get into the shower before you could operate the dial

Had a one night stay in a "suite" room, which was one large room with 2 queen beds and one sofa bed. There was a mini fridge and mircowave and counter with sink ... so a handy mini-kitchen. The night we were there, their cable tv service was out through some problem with the provider, but we went to the front desk and got an HDMI cable so were able to watch a movie through a laptop. We were given a breakfast order sheet when we checked in, and you hand it later that day/evening. Then pick up your pre-bagged breakfast in the morning. This ran very smoothly.

The hotel is clean and modern and the front desk staff are super helpful and friendly, rooms are spacious and well maintained. There is a complementary breakfast however if you want to take it to your room, they give you a bag of sugar and carbs and not the option of taking the hot food upstairs (which is really disappointing considering the price of the stay per night and its my choice to eat in my room) Don't bother asking for a late check out either, apparently 30mins extra for someone with platinum elite status won't ever happen, yet as I sat in the lobby waiting several rooms checked out late with no issue.
I gave this hotel an average rating as there is much improvement needed when dealing with paying guests.

After a day of driving that began in Moncton, New Brunswick, and a huge storm near Ottawa, we stopped for the night at the Holiday Inn Express just off the highway in Pembroke. After a friendly check in, we were given a pet-friendly room as we were traveling with our dogs. The room was large with a comfortable seating area and a very clean bathroom. The hotel was quiet, and we were able to have a great rest before continuing our cross-Canada drive in the morning. The breakfast was the standard Holiday Inn Express fare with pancakes, omelets, and a choice of continental style.
This was a nice haven from the storm we drove through to get to Pembroke on a 1300 km day.

Check-in and check-out service was very fast and the ladies at the desk were quite friendly. The room we had was very clean and appeared to be well maintained. The wi-fi worked well for us. The complimentary breakfast was just what we needed, offering both hot and cold options and it was nice that they changed the hot items offered over the two days we were there, just to change it up a bit. The machine which allowed you to make your own pancakes was cool!

Not easy traveling through this pandemic crisis. So when you travel, do it with safe values like Holiday INN. The IHG cleaning standard are a security by itself. Pool, gym, dinning are close but continental breakfast is served downstairs from 7AM-10AM. But you have to bring it up to your room in order to eat it. Staff is professional and welcoming as usual.
