I know I worked in the business. It’s one thing to offer stars another to hire passionate people. Again asked sweet lady for referral for breakfast .(No breakfast here due to Covid) She gave it. End result . Bang exactly what we wanted. Parking-ratty. Could see a cleanup. Picnic tables in parking lot a nice thought especially with covid. End result the gathering hoots made a lot of noise. Location is bang on. Perfect to Tobermory-Sauble Beach-Blue Mountain.Room was super clean. Had some fix ups to do. Not a deal killer. People at the hotel were the game changer.If you’re a shutter bug and want to complain about everything pay $200+ .IF you have and eye and ear for getting what you payed for then stay here. Rule number one treat other how you expect to be treated. Miracles will happen. Thank you staff you did your job Band On!

During a fall getaway to Owen Sound we choses to stay at the Comfort Inn. The staff were pleasant and friendly and conscientious of Covid protocols . Our room was clean and tidy and everything worked as it should. It was well stocked and very quiet. As breakfast cannot be currently served in the usual breakfast area we were given a " bagged snack "...consisting of a muffin , juice , cereal bar , apple sauce and fruit cup. It was enough to get us going in the morning and we should be thankful they even gave us that during these stressful times. Some people expect too much ! We are picky about our rooms and make sure they are clean and up to date but we realize also that we are living in a different time right now and do not complain about a " bagged breakfast "...I mean really guys...why would you ! If you don't like , don't take it ! It's as simple as that .

First time in Owen Sound - hotel is on a hill overlooking city. Free parking. Room was fine and beds comfortable. Reasonably priced. Free breakfast, which consists of choice of a few food offerings that you can take back to your room. A block from Tim Hortons, pharmacies, and a 10 min walk to the 'downtown'.

I have been staying at this hotel for the last year during business visits to Owen Sound. It is well kept, very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms and beds. For work trips, it provides great price with excellent service and great quality for a 2 star hotel. The staff are courteous, polite and always with a smile . The rooms have the required amenities- fridge, coffee maker, iron, etc. There is coffee in the lobby from the early morning till late at night. Location is central, plenty of parking as well as EV charging stations.

First day the young lady working at the front desk was helpful and recomended great things to do for our romantic trip to Owen Sound. Next day I walked into the lobby and witnessed the manager Kahlid loosing it on a woman for no reason, it seemed like he was yelling and trying to humiliate her to make a show in front of me, a female hotel guest. It was intimidating and upsetting. He was telling her to work as front of house for the hotel restaurant, serve guests in the restaurant and outside on the patio, as well as run into the lobby to pick up the phones. All during covid-19 when everything was extra spaced out. Later when he made a comment to me about my body I asked a younger staff who he was and I discovered he frequently abuses staff. The next day my boyfriend who is Black walked into the lobby from our room with no shoes on to ask if they had something like Tylenol because he had a headache. Khalid asked for his room key and ID to prove he was a guest and my boyfriend had to explain those things were in our room while multiple white families walked in the front door and past them to their rooms without being stopped. My boyfriend was told this is policy and the hotel is not a charity, they did not offer him directions to the pharmacy. I told another manager the next day what had happened and he said there is no such policy asking guests to see their hotel key and ID and he has never heard of that happening to anyone, especially a guest coming from their room (opposite direction of the front door). When I told him it was Khalid he basically said there's no point complaining guy's a dick. We moved to the little motel across the street and it was awesome!

I walked into this Hotel with no reservation. I was exhausted from a horrible experience at a Hotel in Kincardine and was travelling with my dog. Lisa was on the front desk and was so kind and professional. She accommodated me with a ground floor room, which had sliding glass doors with easy access to green space for my dog. The room was extremely clean, quiet and comfortable. The lobby had coffee and breakfast was hot and enough selections for all. The location was great! Staff were friendly and I can’t say enough about how kind Lisa was when I checked in. I really hope I can get back there to explore the area and I would definitely stay at this hotel again. As a solo female I felt very safe and comfortable at this location. Highly recommend!

Stayed here overnight for a work trip. Beds were comfortable and solid hot breakfast options. Good thing it was quiet at night because once people start moving around in the morning, the walls really are quite thin. Someone entered their room next door to us and it sounded like they were coming into our room. They have hot coffee, tea, and water in the lobby but when we got home around 10:30pm they had taken everything away. Figured we could fill our water bottles in the morning before we left, but around 9am the coffee, tea, water station still wasn't available.

Due to a heavy wind storm the night we stayed in room 101 (corner room at the front), the wind howled all night disturbing our sleep. I did check the sliding doors to ensure they were sealed but the noise continued. Apart from that, the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was hot and extensive, staff very accommodating.

Not at all the quality I paid for. The room had an unpleasant odor, was small and dreary looking and feeling. The breakfast was sub par with not enough seating for the patrons, with people rushing their meal so others could be seated. The TV was a flashback to my childhood picture quality from the 70's. The whole building and experience was a huge disappointment. This was my third hotel stay in three days and by far the worst experience for almost the highest price.

The room seemed fine at first, some of the furniture was chipped but things seemed clean. After a bit we noticed that the room felt damp, the carpet was sticky feeling and there was a bit of a smell in the air. The next morning, we noticed that there was black mold forming on the ceiling of the washroom. I called Choice Hotels to share my experience. The rep took my info and they have yet to get back to me several weeks later. If you plan to stay here, be sure to check around your room carefully.
