Highland Manor is just a wonderful place to stay. What a find! This grand home built in 1872 is comfortable, well appointed and spotless. You feel as if you have stepped back to a more relaxed and gracious time. It is set in beautiful grounds in a quiet residential area but is an easy walk to the town centre. The hosts Linda and Paul couldn’t be more hospitable. Nothing is too much trouble. The wonderful breakfasts, Linda prepares are a highlight in them selves. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
We stayed at Highland Manor in July for 3 nights and we had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful and conveniently located to explore the Bruce Peninsula. Linda and Paul are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Their knowledge of the area was most helpful and the breakfasts were delicious and made gluten free for me. We would highly recommend. Linda and Paul went out of their way to make our visit pleasant. One of us is celiac and Linda made sure the breakfast was safe (gluten free) and delicious. Spacious room in a beautiful and well maintained heritage house. We got plenty of recommendations for things to do and where to eat. We can’t wait to go back!
So much history and glory everywhere you looked. We loved our stay with Linda and Paul. Perfect hosts! Breakfast and coffee ready when we were and perfect. Our room was The Fleming. It was bright and very comfortable. The bed …. Well think we better look into getting a new mattress! The deck was peaceful to sit with a glass of wine before heading out for dinner, and a short drive to Cobble Beach for a round of golf. It was a relaxing drive from Caledon, and enjoyed are short get away in Owen Sound. Was a real nice change away from the busy and crowded Muskoka region. Highly!!! Recommend a stay at the Highland Manor.
I honestly can’t say enough about this beautiful B&B and our ultimate hosts, Linda and Paul. We stayed 2 nights and everything was excellent. Our hosts Linda and Paul were wonderful as was our breakfast server, Emily. They engaged in conversation, answered my countless questions and were more than accommodating to all of our needs. Breakfast was delicious each morning. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. This manor has so much history that was very interesting to hear about. Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect! We would highly recommend this beautiful B&B to anyone staying in the Owen Sound area.
We just returned from a two day stay at the Highland Manor and will certainly return and recommend to our B & B loving friends, This is an outstanding home lovingly maintained by our hosts Linda and Paul whose care and attention is everywhere. They make themselves available for all queries on what to do in the area. Linda recommended visiting the More Estate next to the Grey Bruce Museum. It was the highlight of our visit. The breakfasts were outstanding ( I am still savouring the taste of the lemon souffle pancakes!).
My husband recently spent two nights at the Highland Manor this week and I joined him for one night. He is hiking the Bruce Trail and the Manor is in a great location. Linda and Paul were incredibly welcoming and kind hosts. The Manor is an absolutely beautiful Victorian home kept impecibly clean. The pride and care Linda and Paul take in the Manor is obvious. The breakfast was delicious and the server Em was wonderful too. We met other hikers who were staying there and they were also great people. I highly recommend staying at the Highland Manor and hope to get back again. Thank you Linda and Paul for your incredible hospitality.
We spent two nights at the Highland Manor and wish we could have stayed a week at this lovingly and tastefully restored historical home full of old-world charm. Hosts Linda and Paul were extremely welcoming, friendly and engaging. Our beautiful room featured a bed so comfortable we wish we could have taken it home with us. Linda’s delicious and varied breakfasts deserve a special mention - in our opinion they are unsurpassed by any chef, anywhere! Her lemony, moist soufflé-pancakes spring to mind as being the most heavenly of creations. We highly recommend the Highland Manor!
My husband and I stayed at the Manor for three days last week. Hosts Linda and Paul are congenial and engaged with their guests. The 150 year old manor is lovingly cared for. It's fascinating to have the time to enjoy the 10 foot ceilings, original hardwood flooring, a cool cage elevator and unique dormer windows. The breakfasts are scrumptious and varied. We totally enjoyed our visit there.
We spent four nights at Highland Manor while visiting family in Owen Sound. It was delightful. Linda and Paul are gracious hosts. They always had time to chat about local sights and history. Our room was comfortable and pleasant. Linda’s breakfasts were extraordinary. There was no need to eat lunch. The manor is a grand old home—the kind that will probably never be built again. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend the Highland Manor.
