Our 2-night stay at The Highland Manor was wonderful. The building is a landmark itself, but one that has been kept in excellent condition. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-decorated. The hosts are generous and helpful. They know the area well and gave us excellent recommendations. Our breakfast was delicious. There was privacy, comfort, and convenience. Good vibes and great ambience. Thank you Linda and Paul. We'll definitely be back.

We celebrated my spouse's 65 birthday this weekend at Highland Manor. Linda and Paul are generous, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area's art scene and walking trails. The B&B is not only beautiful, it's comfortable and relaxed. Our mission has become to buy a bed and pillows just like theirs. Absolute perfection.

Linda and Paul are great hosts of the Highland Manor. They made our stay very pleasurable. The home has so much history, was built back in 1872. Linda was a professional piano player back in the day and has photos of her meeting famous people like Patty Duke and Pierre Trudeau to name a few. I wished we had asked her to play for us. The best part of the great breakfasts we had, was her company. Wonderful lady. Would definitely recommend her Bed and Breakfast. Thanks Linda and Paul.

A perfect place to stay to explore the Grey Bruce area. Our hostess, Linda was most welcoming and we found the Manor House comfortable, quiet and cozy. It is a Victorian delight. full of local history , Victorian furniture and special collections of our hosts. Breakfasts were delicious- we even came home with a recipe! Linda was most helpful in guiding us around the area. We visited an exquisite garden, had the best ice cream ever and wandered over a flat stone beach which we could never have found without her help. You don't get service like that at a Hotel! Thanks Linda and Paul. We hope to see you again soon. The Manor House is

We were a group of 5 sweaty, tired, dusty cyclists that were happy to find the Highland Manor (which we had reserved rooms well in advance of our trip) at the end of the day. Linda was extremely pleasant and very gracious in assisting us with our needs. Absolutely beautiful heritage home lovingly maintained. Linda gave us a history lesson on the house and it truly is steeped in a rich and interesting past. The rooms were very nice and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious and the company fantastic. I personally am looking forward to returning at another time in the very near future but will be taking the simpler path to The Highland Manor, by car next time.

My wife and I stayed at this bed and breakfast establishment in Owen Sound for three nights in May on the third leg of our Ontario road trip. We arrived late afternoon and were met by Linda who gave us the warmest of welcomes. There was a space for us to park our car and it was paved to the front door which made it easy to wheel our suit cases. We were shown round this historically significant house, with so much interest in both its internal and external features. There was even a lift so that our luggage could be taken up to our room rather than having to struggle with it up the stairs. There were some verandahs to enjoy the dappled sunlight and two sitting rooms with a huge array of eye catching items, most notably the number of pianos. Our dual aspect room on the first floor had a view over the garden to the side of the property and another to the rear. There were sash windows which we chose not to open as the room was already at a comfortable temperature for us. There was a king sized double bed provided with quality sheets. It was a comfortable bed with a supportive mattress and plenty of duvets if we felt cold. With a large wardrobe and a chest of drawers there was ample capacity to store clothes for those staying for a longer period. At the end of the corridor on our floor there was a refrigerator for storing chilled foods, such as picnic provisions, as well as a kettle with a variety of teas for making hot drinks. The ensuite bathroom was spacious, comprising a roomy shower enclosure, a sink and toilet. Towels were soft and fluffy. The internet signal was very strong which was particularly helpful. We found the breakfast offer to be very interesting and wholesome. We started off with a a large bowl of fresh fruit salad, followed by a hot dish - the southwestern style baked eggs with cheese toast made for a great start to our first day. This was surpassed by the lemon hotcakes with warm maple syrup we had on the next. I am sure I have never had a better breakfast - EVER. Breakfast was an opportunity to chat to fellow guests - it was generally served at 8:30 am which gave us plenty of time to get ready and head out for the day. Our hosts were very pleasant and we enjoyed talking to them immensely. The property is beautiful with so many homely touches. We are so glad that we stayed here - both for the comfort of staying in such a wonderful home, but also as a base to drive around this fascinating area. It should be noted that the house is in a quiet residential area, beyond walking distance to downtown.…

This stay exceeded our expectations. We had a lovely , spacious room with beautiful natural light. Fresh towels daily , the most comfortable bed with beautiful sheets, and the sitting room at the end of the hallway outside of our room with a tiny balcony was a treat. The breakfasts were decadent and the conversations and hospitality exceptional. We walked to dinner and the theatre which was a nice surprise. The location was perfect for us. We could take a quick car ride to parks and falls with outstanding trails and views. Winter in Owen Sound is a must see. Thank you Linda and Paul you are amazing hosts.

A wonderful warm place to stay - relaxed, very comfortable in the room and in the dining and living room. Friendly, helpful hosts and great breakfasts! Very close to good restaurants- leave the car and walk to the downtown area in minutes. I highly recommend a stay here!
