We were in Owen Sound for just one night, so the rate and location of this small hotel were good for our overnight stay. Our room was simple, clean, and comfortable for the one night (had we stayed longer, a 3rd bath towel and some toiletries would have been nice). Check-in was quick and easy. Free parking in a big lot. Entrance to our 1st floor room was off the parking lot. Located on a main road so amenities like coffee and drug store were within a 5-minute drive.

I stayed over one night a couple months back when visiting friends in Owen Sound. It was very nice. Clean and comfy room for just the one evening without any issue. Same experience as on previous stays. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks.

Stayed one night in the new wing on a Sunday in March (yesterday). These renovated rooms are in the building that is part of/in behind the Motel's office. While the rooms in the other wing (north of the office) that face 9th Avenue look a bit shabby from the street (no idea though what they are link inside), the new wing rooms are inside with hallways and are nicely renovated and super clean.

Check in was fast and the woman (looks like a family run operation) at the desk was super friendly and helpful.

The washroom was nice and clean, the shower worked great and the bed was firm but very comfortable. There is a microwave and a new mini fridge (but one of the larger types) in the room. The room, the sheets and pillow cases looked and smelled nice and clean. I did find the pillows to be a bit on the soft side, had to use both.

While there were small bars of soap there wasn't any shampoo - not sure if that is because they forgot to stock the room with it - but luckily I always bring a small bottle of shampoo and soap as a backup just in case.

The free WiFi was fast and worked great.

The only real issue was a couple of the towels, while clean smelling, had some stain marks on them and the bath towels were kind of on the small side. Newer more plush bath towels would go a long way to increase people's overall perception of the hotel.

But the price was excellent and I would definitely recommend this hotel (new wing) if you are ok with a basic clean room and want to save some cash. I for sure will stay here again whenever I am in town.

Came up Owen Sound on the weekend to do some snowmobiling with friends, and decided to get a room here for the night. First of all, I was pleased with the managers friendly and helpful customer service . Secondly the room I was given was very clean and neat. This room provided everything I needed to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. A refrigerator, TV, WIFI, temperature control access of room radiator, microwave, hot shower, closet space, comfortable bed and with the security door locks... felt very safe there. The last thing I was pleased with, was the affordable rate. I only required a single room, but was given a double room for the same price. That was a bonus. I checked out around ten in the morning feeling refreshed and well rested for another day of sledding. I can't vouch for other peoples experiences, but my own personal experience here was wonderful . If you are ever in town for a few days , I would highly recommend the Travellers motel to anyone.

Stayed here one night on a Thursday. Drug deal in the parking lot as I arrived. Working girl in a room at the end of the upper hallway. Rooms are VERY old and dated. I slept very little (on top of the covers, fully clothed, thank you) and was gone VERY early. Do not recommend at all.

Fantastic new accommodation in behind the new office. Awesome rain shower head. Huge deep bathtub for soaking. Beautiful Only suggestion is to install security peep holes in door because the main doors into building do not lock so ANYONE can walk into the building and if anyone knocks on the door you can't see who's at your door. Otherwise a fantastic motel.

Had booked this motel for a few days get away, and was expecting a very budget hotel for the price. Was very surprised at our great room. Very clean, and the owners(Sandra) were so very, very nice. Nice fridge and microwave, and great tv. Just can't say enough.
Thanks Mary and Bill, Barrie

You get what you pay for!! This hotel is cheap but has terrible service, front desk was extremely rude, room wasn't ready for check in time, we were constantly disturbed (called at 9am), slow WiFi, beds were hard and uncomfortable, as well sheets had stains on them, No hot water!, missing light bulbs in fixtures. Would never stay here again!

We had been advised to book the new wing only, must admit the other wing looked a little decrepid. But we were quite happy with our room, for $65 on a Saturday night, we had 3 rooms booked, all had 2 comfy double beds, fridge and microwave, and were nice and clean. There was no coffee in the rooms, no ice machines we could find but we had cold drinks in the fridge so all was good. Had to wait longer then usual for response to the bell to check in, and was surprised we could see everyones information cards and room numbers when we checked in. We were a big group so felt safe, but had I been by myself, I would not have been happy to see my name and room number so public.

I stayed here while attending a course at Georgian College. It is a very basic motel room (It was in the old part), but it was clean and had all the basic amenities, like fridge, microwave, desk and TV. It was also a smoking room which I appreciated. The bed was also very nice, and made for a good nights sleep. There was also free internet which worked really well. The big plus is the adjacent restaurant which opens real early, which made it great for having a real breakfast before heading off to class. I would definitely stay here again.
