Terrible Experience! Stained bedsheets and filthy blanket covered in hairs. Very poor customer service. This is a detailed account of what occurred. It is lengthy but I feel others need to be informed of the quality and poor service when considering this motel. I stayed at this hotel for 1 night on July 22. I informed front desk that I would be arriving after hours. I arrived at the hotel at 1:30 a.m. after attending a wedding. After a 3 hr drive and a full day of activities I was exhausted and looked forward to getting a good sleep but that was not the case. I noticed my bedsheets were stained with black and brown marks and when I lifted the flat sheet, there were tons of black hairs all over the blanket. This blanket was placed over the white mattress cover. I checked the other bed and the bedding was clean except for a small brown stain. I tried calling front desk from the phone in the room but no one was answering and instead it went to the answering machine. I then immediately walked outside with my friend to the front desk and reported it to the young woman named Sheila who informed me that there’s no housekeeping at this time - obviously. She said there were no other rooms and that the motel was fully booked. I told her the bedding was disgusting and to come see it for herself since she didn’t believe me. She didn’t offer to give me clean sheets, I had to ask her for it. She also wasn’t eager to get it for me either but then she went to the back and came out with clean sheets. At 2 a.m. I threw the dirty sheets and blanket on the floor and had to make my own bed. Next Morning: I insisted to speak to the hotel manager but was told that the manager was not there on weekends. I then asked to speak to the supervisor instead. Shortly after the Housekeeping Supervisor, Lori arrived at my room and told me that she had cleaned the room. I showed her the dirty sheets and filthy blanket. She told me that the black marks were from the washing machine and the brown marks were from the rust from the water. She looked at the blanket covered in black hairs and didn’t try to justify that. She said to my friend and I that the people before us were unclean and she said, “this is not the best room, you should not have been given that room”. I showed her the other bed and questioned why that bed had clean bedding but this one didn’t. She had no response. I went back to front desk and requested a refund. At this time there were people waiting in line and Sheila was there from the night before, at the front desk and said she could not give me a refund and that my card would be charged the full amount. I told her this was not right but she refused to give me a refund. I told her to have the manager call me on Monday. Monday, July 25: No phone call from the manager so I called that afternoon and spoke to the hotel manager named Boe. Apparently, she was made aware of the incident but didn’t call me back instead she said she was busy. Clearly my incident report was not taken seriously nor was it treated as a priority to warrant a phone call. After explaining the situation to her, she assured me that she would speak to the owner and get back to me later that day or on Tuesday. I waited, no call was received so I called Tuesday afternoon and spoke to the manager again only to be told she couldn’t reach the owner but then said that the owner has family visiting so she doesn’t know when the owner will return her call. I asked her when I could expect a call from her and she said next Monday. This is ridiculous that it would take a whole week for a call back. Such terrible customer service! I told her that I would call back on Friday and she said, “ hopefully I’ll have good news”. I am very disappointed in their customer service and guest relations and do not recommend this motel. It is obvious that hotel management is not addressing my matter as a priority. I was informed by the hotel manager only after my stay that I was given the lowest economical room. It doesn’t matter if the room cost $200 or $100, one would expect clean sheets. This is all very stressful to say the least. It is two days since my stay and still no resolution.

Spent one night in a basic 2nd floor motel room in the main building. Room looked pretty much exactly as in some of the photos but the bathroom was far from modern. I guess some are renovated. But it was clean and functional. Bed was firm. Can't speak to the pool or hot tub, or the garden, never went to the back buildings. If you need somewhere to stay in this area at a good price then this works. Free parking, mini fridge, micro wave, flat screen, in room coffee maker, individual soaps and shampoo. Everything you'd expect from a big name hotel chain. Brown bag with a muffin and juice to go with coffee available mornings at the office. Good value.

Most racial profiling place ever dating back in 2018 -2021 now it's under new management but the stuff remains. Many occasions I would use the pool and stuff doing mentaince would circle around till they find the right opportunity to ask what's your room number can I see your key doesn't matter who was working no idea where they hired them from felt like it was their first time seeing a black man swimming in a pool Monthly . Last visit I called 911 for a lady uttering threats pushed her.way in my room because I wouldn't let her in the pool when it was booked under my room number ..anyway next morning I ran into front desk started talking about this and that police was called against our regulations u no longer welcome as our guest have a nice day and hanged up mind you this lady been giving me a hard time for years when I first started renting the pool ..she need my ID to confirm I was from new market as she said the pool is being rental out only to ppl living in the vercinity

I am sorry that your view of the events are the way they are, as far as we are concerned, we have always treated with kindness and repect. The management has been the same for 40 years, we have guests and employees of different walks of life and backgrounds and we respect everyone equally. We never rent the pool to the general public, so veryfication of your place of residence is quite inconsequential to us. The only rule we have is that you are a respectectful guest who not only respects the poperty but also respects the comfort of other guests and hotel employees. We have families with children staying here, we have hard working people staying here who just need the rest, or guests who are trying to have a mini vacation from their lives, so we value peace and quite. Calling the police if you feel you need to is not against any rules of the hotel, we encourage our guests to feel safe at all times. Unfortunately, some guests do not respect the one rule we have. We then kindly inform those guests that we would like them to stay somewhere else, we always list specific reasons, we never make decitions on a whim. We are sorry that we have been having issues with your visits, however, we have informed you about them countless times with patience and respect. Management

We visited maybe just over a month ago. I regret not letting them know they have a major ant problem. The room was nice until we found out the room had ants and also no microwave. I do regret not letting them know about the ant problem until now

We are very sorry. if you called the office we would have been more than happy to change your room. Just to let you know, rooms above the pool are undergoing bathroom and vanity reonovations, they look modern and beautiful, so maybe you can give us another chance. We stayed for an overnight for a doctor’s appointment. Stressful times but our room was very Comforting and the staff welcoming. A gem to stay at and feel at home. Room was clean and the area was surprisingly quiet.

I spent a night to avoid travelling back and forth when a relative had surgery at Southlake Hospital. I was offered a reduced rate and it was an awesome break from the hospital. Clean and comfortable!!! Money so well spent!!!

We stayed here in the beginning of February as part of a hockey tournament that my teenaged son was in the area. I was not happy initially because most reviews I read was full of negatives but when we got here we were pleasantly surprised. Very clean rooms, kitchen and baths. We were here for 2 nights. The only thing I'm not please about is the fact that the pool is housed away from the rooms with kitchenettes(the ones we got). In the middle of winter it was a bit hard for us(we also have a 4 year old) to use the pool. So we didn't use the pool. The teenagers were ok. Great selection of continental breakfast - since we didn't need much and was in a rush; we did get what we wanted - bagels with cream cheese, fruits and fresh coffee. Our neighbours were smoking weed. The smell didn't enter our rooms but our teenagers had to walk through a cloud of smoke going back and forth to each other's rooms! Our kids are fine and great double locks on the door too for peace of mind when sleeping at night. I felt safe staying here with my kids and will stay here again.

Normally we like the NMI but in the last 2 trips, we've found the beds have burn holes in the comforter and blanket, the microwave turntable is broken, there was no kleenex or toilet paper in the room. I shudder to wonder if the sheets have been cleaned.
