$150 for a room but nothing else around so I tried it. Bad decision!!! Shower burned me because it kept switching from freezing to boiling every 2-5seconds! Curtains ripped and everything rundown. Internet is so slow and keeps disconnecting so I had to use my...More
Expensive, but Looked nice, until I got to the room in older section. Grubby, worn, damaged. Maybe because was a "pet" room - even though was charged $20 extra (highest pet fee I experienced)

We help millions of travellers each month to find the perfect hotel for both holiday and business trips, always with the best discounts and special offers.
After inquiring at two motels in Marathon on the 7th of October and finding neither was under $120 (inc tax) for one person, and both places looking 'tired', I elected to move on to White River where I got a decent motel for $82. I am therefore convinced price fixing must be the rule at Marathon which is far enough between towns that travelers are "captured". I was shocked at the prices asked; and will make sure traveler friends avoid stopping at Marathon. And now, reading reviews, my gut feeling to move on was the right choice. I would like to know what justifies the high rates as opposed to Terrace Bay and White River.
