Dear ARS1131, I would like to send you a personal thank you for the comments you gave us on Tripadvisor concerning your stay at the Holiday Inn Kitchener-Cambridge. I am very disappointed that your experience was not up to our standards. The situation that occurred this past week with our main boiler was deeply sudden and unfortunate for all guests staying at the hotel. Moreover, we should have tried our best to accommodate you or find another suitable hotel. I am happy to hear you were able to find accommodations for your time in the city. During this time we spoke to the Radisson across the street and our sister property, the Sunbridge Hotel, to make sure rooms were made available at either property, while we worked tirelessly to solve this issue. The renovations are a necessary step in creating a greater product or service this hotel has never seen. We have had it advertised on our websites and other sites for the last several months. These renovations can be cumbersome and inconvenient, but the end results will be new and exciting for all. Thank you again for your feedback. Renovations on this kind of scale can be difficult, but helps to create an final updated product that can be delivered to all guests. On the www.ihg.com website, it is stated that we are being renovated and the pool has been down since October 2018. Other 3rd party sites have been informed of this as well, but since they are not owned by IHG or the Holiday Inn brand, it is entirely up to them whether they place the information on their site. I will follow up with the front desk staff about your IHG membership as Bookings.com is not an OTA that has any restrictions on adding your IHG membership number to your account. I am very disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us. It is only by hearing guest comments that we can make changes in the way that we do business to improve our service levels in all areas. As a Quality Excellence Award Winning hotel our team is completely committed to ensuring that all of our guests enjoy a superior level of service during their visit with us and it is very disappointing when we fail to carry that promise through. Our renovations began on October 2018, and all of the reservations sites should have information reflecting this. There are times during this renovation where the construction workers would be working on weekends. We understand the inconvenience, but in the end it will have to provide a breathtaking, new final product. The issue with the parking lot and the ice is very unfortunate, and I can assure you my General Manager, Rod Atkinson is intently following up with the company that does our lot. Our current, massive renovations are already taking the necessary actions to ensure similar situations can be avoided in the future. On the www.ihg.com website, it is stated that we are being renovated and the pool has been down since October 2018. Though I am terribly sorry your stay was plagued by wifi issues, I am happy to report that the wifi in our hotel has been vastly improved due to a new system which was installed on January 29th, 2019, which is already seeing considerable improvement to our previous system. We are happy to hear that evening during your stay for a competition you and your family enjoyed out food and beverage services and had a comfortable clean sleep on our beds. No not if they put you in the ghetto part of the hotel that hasnt been renovated. Thats where i got stuck. The elevator is inly for the NEW tower and they charge same rates for new rooms and old crappy ones!! I wouldn't stay again. Lots of kids sports teams stay here too and it is very loud and dusruptive. They were playing ball hockey down our hallway at 7 am!! Terrible.

Good Morning, Yes, indeed we have a buffet breakfast in our restaurant, going from 6:30am till 10:00am every day. The cold buffet (muffins, yougart, cereal, etc) goes for about 11:25$ after taxes, and the hotel buffet which also includes the cold buffet goes for about 16.90$ after taxes. Our restaurant, known as Embers, serves a variety of great foods with a relaxing atmosphere and great staff. The restaurant also opens into the lounge area. We have an indoor pool as well as outdoor, but as you may tell the outdoor pool is closed for the season. The indoor pool is opened from 5:30am till about 11:00pm, along with the sauna and hot tub. Unfortunately, the hot tub at this present time is down for mechanical reasons. Our new gym is now 24 hours. If there are any other questions you wish to ask, please contact me at 519-893-1211.
