This is a tale of two rooms. The first faced the highway and was very noisy. Also, the heating controls were in the unit. The lock on the door leading outside was broken, so had to rely on the locking bar. We asked to be moved due to the noise level. In the second room, the heating control in the thermostat and the lock worked perfectly. Not expensive and a good place to stay overnight, near everything and off the highway. Wouldn't stay there for a few days as a bit too small.

We stayed in a very large king room for only $89 plus tax per night for a weekend to see friends for a birthday party.
Despite being beside a freeway there was no traffic noise in the room.
The bathroom was spotless and updated.
The room included a refrigerator.
The hotel provides a respectable full breakfast of eggs and bacon and DIY waffles and fruit and cereals and fruit drinks.
In my opinion you get more than you pay for at this gem.

Room Tip: Second floor facing away from the freeway and at the far ends of the halls will be quietest.

Was finally able to visit our daughter in another province and booked a room at the Quality inn Kitchener. It is very close to the airport especially if you are needing to be there at 4am which I was. Check in was okay, was the only person waiting to check in but the clerk was on the phone with another customer, had only 1 person working the desk. Room was clean, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Free Wifi which we did not try. No pool but I did see a hot tub, it was closed due to COVID. Halls were quite noisy at night which was not great as I had to get up at 4am. Breakfast being offered is a bag style breakfast, we did not opt to get it. Hotels and restaurants are now open and begging for business. I suggest if you are wanting business and are open then start opening up all your services, I am feeling at times COVID is a great excuse not to move forward and do what is easiest. However in saying this, I just wanted a hotel close to the airport and the price was under a $100, I would stay there again.

We have stayed here many times prior to Covid, and I generally give them a good review, but our recent 2 night stay was poor and we will not be staying here next time, unfortunately.
Here’s why: our room smelt very strongly of cleaner and a deodorizing machine was in action when we arrived. The window was open and the fan was running. The door was unlocked. Apparently, the supervisor failed to check that the room was ready to be occupied, which it was not. This was more than Covid cleaning.
There was a missing bedside table and lamp. No cleaning was done after that first night, and there is a small notice to say no cleaning etc would be done for even 5 night stays! Wet towels should be left outside the room. However we were not informed of this, so we were not expecting it. Lack of communication here.
Breakfast was no different from normal meaning that there was a total lack of “Covid hygiene”.
Minor hockey teams often stay here. On Saturday night young kids were noisily playing outside past 10pm.
The bed was comfortable. The fridge useful.

Oh boy this last room needed lots of TLC (mold, towel racks falling, holes in the walls and we even blew the breaker to the room). I took photo’s to the front desk and they ended up reducing the room rate.

The staff were very apologetic and pleasant. The beds were clean and it had a fridge, microwave and a working TV. And there was a coin washer/dryer in which I did another round of laundry.

There was a free hot breakfast with great coffee however it was packed with people so there was a wait to get food.

This is our second time staying at this location. Things we liked were the cleanliness of the room and hotel itself, the friendliness of the staff (the cleaning staff were quite helpful and nice). The ability to be on the bottom floor and being able to load my car through the sliding glass door instead of taking the luggage down the hall was appreciated. Breakfast is included in the stay.
Things I think could be improved on, making the breakfast available from 6:30am till 10:30 or 11am. We were there for a cheer competition and needed to leave at 6:45am. I would have liked to be able to get something to eat and a coffee on my way out the door. I was able to get something on day 2, we didn’t need to leave so early. I found the hot water for tea was scalding hot!! My fingers were burning through the paper cup, and I had to take 3 cups just to be able to carry it back to the room. Very wasteful and a hazard that could seriously injure someone. Please turn the temp down on the machine. The exercise room is extremely small and no kids allowed (teens even).
Overall our stay was pleasant and we would stay here again in the future.
I rate it a 3.8 out of 5

It was ok, not more. Rather dated, tired look. Bed was comfortable enough but the room space was awkward with a table near the foot of the bed. No breakfast or coffee was provided due to Covid, but a Comfort Inn we had stayed in the night before had self-serve coffee and a bagged breakfast. Will give Quality Inn points for having a recycling box.

We stay here because it is convenient when visiting family. However, this hotel has not improved over the years. Now, there is only 1 bedside table per room, not per bed, not sure why! Cleanliness is Ok but not amazing, but they are offering cleaning each day again now.
The bathroom fan was noisy, but did not extract odours. We did report this, and clerk was interested and made a note. However the wash basin had a long black crack in it, which she ignored, when reported.
Unfortunately, breakfast was very crowded, and when no table was available we were given a tray, and told to take our breakfast up to our room.. They used to open up another room, but would not do this. As a result, our cooked food was cold by the time we reached our room. It there was another hotel nearby that had a fridge and microwave, we would stay there instead!

Dated and run down. Hotel staff tried to scam me on the price of the room despite my confirmation quoting a lower rate and then waited for me to check in and called me at 10:30 pm to tell me my rate was not being honoured. Spend the extra $20 and stay somewhere nicer because they’re going to try to charge you more anyhow.

Very disappointed. When the TV had no reception at 11:30, I called the front desk 3 times after and no one answered.
They use Covid as an excuse for no breakfast sitting, and no hot tub. The breakfast was a VERY POOR effort. Basically just yogurts, crummy eggs, potatoes and a small selection of fruits. No meats, no cheese, no breads, no cereals. (and black single-use plastic utensils.) In the room there were stains on the carpet and no tissues. The alarm in the unoccupied next room went off at 4:30 and I had to call twice to get it turned off. It then went off again 30 minutes later at 5:00. There was no apology upon our departure and no offer of refund. Reasonably friendly staff, but I would never stay here again.
