It’s a pricey hotel in a so-so location. You’re close to a major road meaning there can be a lot of sirens going and road noise.

The front desk clerk was difficult to understand at check in because she spoke low and had a fairly heavy accent. I had to ask her to repeat several times.

It was my understanding from the Expedia listing that parking is free. However, parking is $20 a night and they also insist on taking a credit card deposit.

This hotel is located in English Canada. You would never know it though from the selection of music in the elevator and the pool.

A hotel in Canada should reflect Canadian culture not exclusively the culture of a foreign country. If it’s being run as a foreign themed hotel, they should be transparent about it to ensure customers are able to make an informed choice.

Speaking with other guests during our stay, we weren’t alone with these concerns.

The hotel was very easy to find and access. Parking was busy, due to a portion of the parking lot was partitioned off. Possibly due to resurfacing or construction? I was luck to find parking on the top level.

Check-in was excellent. Justine and Pauline were very professional, friendly and helpful.

The room was very good. Nicely laid out. My personal pet peeve, but the work desk was immediately below the TV. I like to have the TV on while I work, but sitting below the TV was a little distracting. It’s not a make or break situation.

The microwave, safe and TV were discretely positioned and located in the room.

Had an issue with the A/C - it wouldn’t turn off. This is where Justine and Pauline truly went above and beyond in trying to help me. They called the Maintenance supervisor at home. He FaceTimed me and the ladies to help resolve the issue. They tried resetting the breaker and power. Everything, but to no avail. They offered to move me to another room, but I had my work station setup and had settled in so, worse case scenario I unplugged the AC overnight. It was fine. I was grateful for the ladies trying to help me.

One other issue, the shower door wouldn’t close and kept opening. I tired to lay a towel down to minimize the water on the floor. Advised the staff when I checked out.

Location was close to a couple of food options. It is on a main roadway, and as much as I was higher up, I could hear the cars with the loud, obnoxious mufflers. Which was not the fault of the hotel.

Overall, very good hotel. There is a bar in the main lobby for those that would like a drink. Open till 10 pm. I’d stay here again.

This is a very clean hotel with great bedding and soft towels. I was able to set the A/C fan on high for white noise which I like, and it did a great job cancelling out the road noise. Unfortunately there was no Breakfast included, but Kitchener has lots of options.
I would and have stayed there again.

This hotel used to be our favourite while in Kitchener. Since changing to a Courtyard…..😔😔😔. Gave us a king bed after specifically reserving 2 queens months in advance. (There were 3 of us.) Despite knowing there would be a large influx of guests around midnight from an event that has used this hotel forever, they had one staff on to deal with the room issues several of the guests had and everyone else coming in. Pull out couch was hard as a rock and no linens for it. No more free coffee as they put in a paid coffee bar. Check in was a challenge as it was obvious staff were unfamiliar with the new system. Credit card was charged “deposit” after paying the bill although no mention of this was made. (They did refund this after calling them.) On a more positive note, the staff member who was there was professional and courteous despite having several upset guests and facing a long line up of people waiting to register. The renovations were lovely especially the washrooms. Will definitely be exploring other options on our next trip to Kitchener as the whole experience was frustrating and time consuming.

The room and the hotel itself was very clean and felt very new and well taken care of. It was one of the best hotel rooms I've stayed at in recent memory.

However, the staff at the front desk were very unhelpful and were not welcoming. They were borderline rude. This is how I was treated at all times talking to multiple different staff at the front desk either in person or on the phone.

My friend and I had the pleasure of staying here recently.

This hotel is clean, modern and the customer service is fantastic! We contacted the desk for a late checkout and received it no problem. We used the app to order more towels, etc for the room and received everything promptly.

The room was spacious and very clean.

Highly recommend :)

No hot water.
With my two night stay, I was met with no hot water each morning.
I told the front desk after my first night and was met with the same challenge the next morning. Maintenance did come up at 7:00 AM and asked me to wait until 10:00.
I spoke with the manager during my exit and he automatically offered Marriott point as a form of compensation for the inconvenience.
He was not concerned to hear about ny issue and the customer service fell very short!
I will be back in the area and will choose a different hotel chain for my next stay

I recently.stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Kitchener for three nights for our convention of Jehovah’ Witnesses at the Auditorium . Recently this location has been rebranded and renovated from a Radisson. The room was excellent, well appointed. Service was excellent. The Bistro in the lobby area serves excellent food with excellent service. I strongly recommend this hotel. If we return to Kitchener for another convention in the future, I will definitely stay at the Courtyard.

Very nice hotel to spend a week in. Travelled for business solo. The lobby is lovely. Very nice looking bar but I did not partake. All the front desk employees demonstrated excellent customer service skills. Said hello every time I walked by and was asked a few times How I was enjoying my stay. I had room 505, a standard king. Housekeeping does an impeccable job everyday. Room was big and modern. Bed was very comfortable. No complaints.
