We stayed in the connecting rooms across from the pool. Our rooms were very nice up to the line that separated the bedrooms from the kitchen/bathroom area. The sleeping areas were recently, very nicely and completely redone (including the carpeting). However, the kitchenette is fairly ancient and the bathrooms were a bit rundown. Also, the bathrooms weren't cleaned very well during our stay there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool showed its age. Overall, the rooms were fairly inexpensive so we got what we paid for.

After a long day driving and starting the day off sick with a migraine, it was a welcome relief to get to the hotel. We were welcomed with friendly and helpful service. Chairs were brought to the front of the room so we could sit outside and enjoy the weather if we wanted to. Suggestions were made for where we could eat.
We stayed here for three nights... and all were enjoyable.
We were towing a motorcycle and were offered a spot right by the office so they could help keep watch on the trailer for us as well.
The rooms are clean and well maintained. We had wi-fi and a fridge in our room. A nice little loveseat and table with 2 chairs. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept well. Our neighbour had the volume on their TV up a bit at night and the sound carried through (it was the only sound that did though). We turned on the fan for the heat/AC and it eliminated the problem.
The manager was very friendly and is doing a wonderful job with this hotel. You definitely get your money's worth here. If you want a nice, clean, comfortable and centrally located place to stay for a decent price... we would recommend this hotel.
We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area.

We stayed at the Knights Inn on June 15, 2007 for one night. We had requested an early check in and it was graciously arranged. The front desk staff were amazingly helpfula and friendly. All the rooms do not have internet access and when we realized ours didn't they immediately offered another room. Since we had already showered we declined. The staff then offered to allow us to use another vacant room to just check our email. The room was spotless, the beds comfortable and the A/C was quiet and excellent. The bathroom could use some renovation but this property was probably built in the early 1960s. The rooms are being renovated which our room had new carpeting, wallpaper, bathroom tiles. The price was excellent $63.25+tax and we would definatley stay again. It is easy to access from the highway and the hotel website's directions are perfect. There is a Tim Horton's across the street and several other fast food locations near by.

It was an amazing stay. Excellent every thing. They even ordered a complementary prostitue! I haven't had stay like that since Las Vegas when I ran into my buddy Luke. The beds were nice and hard the sheets like a soft grit sandpaper and the room smelled like my favorite brand of cigarettes

Myself and 2 friends stayed at the Knights Inn, in Kitchener (1455 Weber Street East
Kitchener, ON N2A 1A5 CA) and i have to say it was one of the most awful experiences we have ever had staying in a hotel, and we could not believe the events that took place with our One night stay at this hotel.
The main incidents that occurred were that there we BED BUGS!
I couldn't believe it. I have never experience that in my entire life, and was disgusted. I was woken up in the middle of the night by bugs crawling all over my body. I then began to inspect my bed, finding more. I woke up my friends and we ended up sleeping in our car... -This was after we were already put in a room, and then asked to change rooms because she didn't see that when we checked in, that room was reserved for other people.-
In the morning we immediately went to the front desk to bring to the attention of what we had discovered. We were rudely spoken to by the lady at the front desk, and were told that we were lying to get our money back. With this insult, we were told to come back in an hour to speak with the owner. Then upon check out, we again were rudely spoken to, without even receiving and apology from anyone yet, we were told, that they need to inspect the room for proof. She then went to the people who were doing construction on the other rooms, and claimed they were trained professionals in finding bed bugs, and brought them into the room we stayed in, and they began to inspect. Finding spots of blood (from bites) where i slept (on the pillow and sheet) and upon pulling the mattress off the box spring, they did mention that there was in their words " Not alot of them". The front desk attendant had left the room (during the search to talk on the phone), and when she came back she was screaming at us that there was no proof (even though we were just told by the "experts" there was was evidence of BED BUGS!) Still receiving no apology we were told by a yelling lady there was nothing they could do for us, because we used the shower and the room was now considered used. That we should have came to them earlier about it (mind you it was 5am when i found them). With the owner still not arrived, we were told to leave still not receiving anything, not even an apology, and were thrown accusations that we brought the bed bugs... I have NEVER experienced such bad customer service as i did in this hotel, and i am appalled at how we were treated about something so serious. I will NOT be staying at another Knight Inn ever again. Disgusting....

Response from Kemptville, Manager at Knights Inn Kitchener
Responded Oct 17, 2011
Reporting of any incidents of this nature are taken very seriously by both management and ownership of this hotel and the industry as a whole. We have very stringent protocols in place to safeguard against such incidents as you have inferred. If an incident does occur, or is reported, we utilize certified professional companies that specialize in the appropriate treatment, containment and eradication of any pests that may be found. I have had the room inspected by RentoKill pest control which reports no activity or signs of recent bed bug activity in the room. This will be faxed in to Tripadvisor as back-up.

OH MY SOUL! Please, never ever go to this place. When we arrived, there were very sketchy individuals sitting outside the lobby area. The man running the front desk was kind but possibly intoxicated. He upgraded our bed size but the room was disgusting. We were in the area for a music festival so knew we would not spend a lot of time there so we put up with it. Plus, they do not do refunds of any kind. There is no security at all. My car was broken into and they stole an ipod and a necklace.

There are many people that live there full time that sit outside and smoke all day.
There's a pool that was ok. A bit dirty.

We laughed so hard when we got to the room. The rooms were so outdated and so dark. It smelled like an old basement. There were 2 fridges. One was fine but the other had been unplugged and was full of mold. Shower curtain was covered in stains. Food under bed. Hand prints on the wall that looked like someone had been dragged into the joining room. We felt very scared the entire time we were there. Checked for bed bugs when we arrived but didn't see any signs of them.

At the music festival we got talking to some cops. When they found out where we were staying they got a bit upset that we had not done more research into the area. They told us to pack up our stuff and leave that motel.

The cab driver that dropped us off after the festival stayed until we were locked in the room and gave us his card to give him a call if we needed anything.

Obviously, the locals know that it is a very sketchy motel and were doing their best to protect us.

The power was out in the morning so the air conditioning was not on and the room became very stuffy and started to smell pretty bad. There was a domestic fight in the room beside us and it sounded like they were in our room. So so so happy to leave.

I would highly recommend spending extra money to get a better spot just for the safety reasons.

We can laugh now because we survived but it was one of the weirdest/ scariest weekends I've experienced.

Room Tip: Don't go. It was horrible. Cops said farthest rooms from the lobby are best.

I stayed here while visiting family.
Worst hotel ever.

The girl in the room next to mine was a hooker turning tricks, she even offered me a "neighbouly discount". She was pretty busy most of the night, as the walls are paper thin and I heard pretty much everything.
I saw many questionable and nefarious looking people coming and going at all times, I even witnessed a very open and shameless drug deal.

The only reason I spent the 2 nights here was I was alone and barely spent any time at the room. I pretty much used it for sleeping and showering. Had I been with my family on a vacation I would have gone elsewhere.

A family member I was visiting showed me an article on the local newspapers website that detailed an arrest of a suspect in a grisly murder and dismemberment case who was staying at the same hotel a couple months earlier.

The only good thing was that there is a Tim Horten's across the street.

Stay far away from this cesspool.

Run, not walk away from this dump. Went into the room and the first thing I saw was a white board that someone wrote all kinds of satanic and gang warnings. Obviously housekeeping is not doing their job. There was a mini fridge which was covered in mold and was stained on the top. Burn marks on the wall and it looked like someone threw something on the wall and it dripped down, dried blood on the back of the door and dents on the door as well. It looked like two prostitutes were walking out of one room and attempting to round up business. Saw a drug deal going down as well. Spent 5 minutes in the room and went to manager to get my money back. This place is the most disgusting place I have ever seen.

On first glance the room looked nice, granted it was late at night and we were tired. Got into the room and realized how bad it was, very dirty, hand prints on walls and doors in both dirt and possibly blood, holes in the wall behind doors peeling paint, bubbled wall paper, no plug for the bathtub, tons of flies in the room. Carpet was so dirty my kids white socks were black after walking across the room once. For a non smoking room it had alot of cigarette burns and smelled like smoke and these were the highlights. Next the prostitutes/Johns and drug seekers constantly banging on my door all night and calling my room were quite scary the front desk refuses to pick up the phone and I wasn't about to go outside, I called the local police who advised me this is normal at this hotel and they recommend I leave and there is nothing they can do its the managers problem. i would have left if it wasn't late and I could find another hotel anywhere. No sleep for me up checking things and yelling at ppl to leave us alone all night. Definitely an area to be avoided at all costs
