We stayed in one of the log cabins. The entire area surrounding the cabin was covered in cigarette butts upon our arrival. It was quite a turn off. We have two small children so I requested that it be cleaned asap, and the front desk sent two workers to clean it up within the hour. We also noticed garbage alongside the cabin, leftover food inside the mini fridge and pieces of garbage on the bed platform. Due to Covid, we did bring some disinfectant to clean the surfaces, and every common surface we wiped, the paper towel was black with grime. Overall, I understand it is a shared responsibility with campers to maintain a level of cleanliness and respect the park - but it is also the responsibility of the park to ensure its facilities are clean and presentable. There is a 3 hour window between check out (11am) and check in (2pm) so this leaves plenty of time for the inside and outside of the cabins to be cleaned. Overall, we had an enjoyable time with great neighbours, but management really needs to do some quality control and CLEAN.

Nice location, picturesque on the Grand River.

The campsites are small and very close to your neighbours for most of the sites.

The teenage staff tried hard to clean the washrooms, but they basically need some serious renovations.

Water park was pricey, Bought ice cream for the kids (which is only available from in the waterpark - nowhere else on the property could you get an ice cream cone), but the crazy price for the smallest ever scoop was ridiculous! Bowling was also quite pricey.

We stayed in 2 container cabins, one was obviously much newer than the other, and the one in the sun was quite hot mid-day, I'm glad that at night time it cooled off or we could not have slept in it. One mattress was obviously replaced, but not the correct type for a spring base and it sagged 15cm in the middle - not a great night sleep! The undersized a/c could not quite keep up.

I would not recommend until updates make it worth the crazy price.

I rented a Container Cabin at the end of Aug.

PROS:
- The washrooms were ok. Mostly clean but there were some large resident spiders which made using the washroom with my young daughter a bit challenging.
- The container was clean. I had read many reviews saying they were very dirty so I brought cleaning supplies that I didn't need to bring.

CONS:
- Unfortunately, there was a crab apple tree on our site (I think most sites didn't have this type of tree). Crab apples were constantly falling as well as rotting on the ground. This brought the flies and bees around.

I am mortified that in 2021 I would be denied access to accessible showers that exist, but are kept locked throughout the week. When I asked for them to be unlocked, I was told they would unlock them between the hours of 6:30-8:30 in the evening! No I could not shower whenever I wanted like a normal person! I said fine. Each evening I checked and they were not unlocked. For some reason they fenced off the showers with the day camps. Instead of moving the fencing to leave the showers available to the campers, as they were intended. But then they would have to clean them. Perhaps they should have put the showers closer to the campers instead of way down in the parking lot or invest in more showers!
There are no gates on the campground, so people can come and go as they please. There is no security. No one is patrolling there through the nights to deal with rowdy campers, over crowded sites, etc. I have been camping for over 50 years across Canada and the US and this is definitely the worst campground I have stayed in and it's the most expensive! Now I know why they had last minute availability!
Extremely disappointed is an understatement!

This place is basically a joke.
With little to no care given for the guest experience.

No outside firewood permitted, don't worry we have fire wood here, for $11/bag ( works out to be approx $2/stick. They also have this firewood 500-800meters from sites, up a long hill. The ice is there also. We purchased enough firewood to last the two nights because of the inconvenience. They wouldn't refund for the unused firewood.

No outside food or drink allowed in the pool area, including my kids water containers, which is the only way to get them to drink any amount. Apparently this place prioritizes there over priced drink sales over the hydration of their guests.

The policy that all kids under a certain age must wear a " Approved Life saving Device". Even in 6-8 inches of water, while a parent holds them!. They have obviously negotiated a cheaper insurance premium based on these strict rules. Again, Bingemans greed for profits outweighs their guests satisfaction.

Washrooms were horrid, dirty looking overflowing dumpsters, overall we made the best of the weekend but we will not be returning.

I was very excited to go to Bingemans with my family. I expected it to be a fun weekend with a lot to do but it was dirty, overpriced, no security, and poor customer service.

our campsite had a large pile of vomit, but I brushed it off because the campsite was quite long and it was to the back of the campsite. However the problems didn’t stop there.

We went to the water park that was only partially open (splash pad and wave pool that was off) however they wanted $50 for the family. When booking my campsite I also bought a funworx card for the arcade, so we decided we would do that instead. The arcade looked open because they were testing the games, but the arcade was still closed. I understand it being closed for safety, but they shouldn’t be encouraging people to buy extra products/activities when booking their sites if they are not currently offering said product/activity. When I asked about a refund I was given a card and told to email her manager. Thankfully the camp registration office was easier to deal with. They took the card and my information and said they would call me later in the day when it was done. I got an email the next day to tell me it would be refunded. Overall customer service was subpar.

After all this we decided to play frisbee in the field behind our campsite. We made sure we were far from anyone else to not disturb the camp, but since one child ran away from their group to play, we were asked to leave.

Apart from the customer service, there is no fence around the campground so anyone can walk in. We had a creepy guy asking for a lighter, who we later saw flipping off cars driving by at the top of the hill right beside where our campsites.

My family will NOT be going back.

We stayed in the pull-through section for 5 days. I had seen many people online complain about how everything costs money but I knew that going in as I looked online before booking so that wasn't an issue. I chose Bingemans because it has so many things to do for my teen who isn't entertained by a playground and sandbox. The only complaint I have is that people left their garbage out (mostly the seasonal people from what I could see) and therefore there were many skunks out at night. I didn't want to sit outside because of them. The owners should be more diligent in having their campers keep tidy sites. I won't comment on washrooms as we have our own in the trailer and I won't use the public ones. I liked how close it was to St. Jacob's.

This was our first visit to this campsite. My son wanted a Family Camping Trip for his Birthday, but because of Covid 19, many places weren't allowing rent camping. I called 12 different places and booked here sight unseen. We weren't disappointed, the campground was very clean, friendly, helpful and professional staff. Out campsite had a water source, electricity, a picnic table and a firepit. There many fun activities to fo, but unfortunately the water park and slides were closed due to Covid 29, which is understandable,to keep everyone safe. The Oasis Pool was open, and we had a booked time to use the pool, it was a refreshing break from the heat. We did a family hike in the morning, we played a round of Mini Putt, and my grandson enjoyed the arcade in the evening. The Firepit was a nice relaxing thing we did at night making Smores and roasting hotdogs. We will definetely camp there again, and I will recommend Bingeman's to my Family and Friends. Thank you for a Fun Family Weekend.

Online reservations were not charged to credit card so when we arrived we were told the waterpark was sold out. That was the only reason we were there. Went online and tickets were available. Left a huge distaste for having to deal with anyone in the office. Communication was awful. After they "lost" our golf tickets we didnt bother to purchase any. Ice, sold in huge bags. Wood, expensive. All in all, a huge disappointment, but the kids enjoyed the slides. Skip camping if you must come here.

We went here for our anniversary. We went in the winter for their Christmas light show and thought we would come back in the warm weather to stay. I can say we are glad we came back. We stayed in the luxury cabin/container. It was awesome, very clean and sits on an amazing spot of the camp ground. Beautiful view with no one in front of you.

It is a little pricey, however, we had a great time and cannot wait to go back.

Fire wood is dry and reasonable price, they also sell dinner packages to bbq.

I highly recommend going here and try the container camping out, has a big deck attached with air conditioning. No bbq or coverage if it rains, however, it comes with a stove and oven with a full size fridge. A bathroom with a shower as well.

Not sure. It’s been a couple of years since we were there and we haven’t been back.

Bingemans Camping Resort is situated along the Grand River, we are not located on a lake nor do we have a beach. When you are staying with us we have a campers pool and hot tub that is complimentary to use if you do not purchase Big Splash passes. With the purchase of Big Splash passes, in addition to the waterpark you receive access to Funworx indoor playland and Hole-in-Fun mini golf.

There are showers and plenty of hot water. This is a public place that can get extremely busy on week-ends so the washrooms are going to be in high use. You won't find brand new bathroom and shower facilities but these are usable. Before going out there head to a dollar store and buy some sandals as you would with any public shower facility. The only real disappointing thing is there are no hooks or benches to keep your stuff from getting soaked. That is a pretty small investment the campground could be doing.

Dear SonshineK23, Thank you for contacting Bingemans! The distance between the Chalet campground and the Yurt village is under a 10 minute walk. We look forward to welcoming you here this summer!
