The rooms facing the road get constant traffic noise and late into the night you can hear locals and other guests talking as they pass by. Often conversations outside were loud and aggressive.

Our room featured a mysterious curtained off door which I suspect is used to connect rooms for families however it is poorly soundproofed and I was awoken at 3am by the occupants in the adjacent room. I got very little sleep.

Heat was on and made the room stuffy but no thermostat was to be found and we threw the windows open to get some circulation.

Beds are firm and do their job with no frills, pillows are comfy though. Television in the room is a large rear projection unit but was older and needed a lamp replacement. WiFi password was provided in room on a small sheet of paper with no instructions yet the place has at least two different access points.

Overall could be better but for the price I paid it was a "you get what you pay for" experience.

Its a shame that i have to write a bad review because for the money the motel isn't too bad but what is bad about it is very bad.i can live with the tired furniture in the room but there is absolutely no excuse for having a carpet in such a deplorable filthy condition as the one in my room.To put it so you could visualize it imagine if your mechanic put carpeting in his work shop that is how dirty and grubby it was.Thank goodness i brought along a pair of airline slipper with be because there was no way my feet was touching that nasty carpet. As i said for the price most other things was ok,the staff was helpful and friendly.
Clean the carpet.

Mayflower Motel was adequate as I attend a convention in Kitchener, so it is very convenient. The rate is low, so suits my purpose as I don't spend very much time there as I am attending the convention.

Convenient for an overnight stay or for business, the beds are comfortable, clean, there is a good refrigerator with a freezer and a bath, a table. I would even say in many ways better than some hotels. Reasonable price. Good service. In general, it’s very convenient and mobile, that’s why it’s a motel. The concierge is always on site and will also give you a corkscrew.

As 3 young girls just in KW for the night we felt very unsafe here. The rooms smell of marijuana, there were broken down cars in the parking lot, police did drive bys every 10 minutes. We felt so unsafe that we demanded a refund (unsuccessfully) and went to the Holiday Inn Kitchener. We were very afraid our car or room would get broken into while we were out.

We were hesitant to stay here given the number of terrible reviews, but we were both happy with our stay here.
Our room was updated, clean, no odours, had a small fridge and microwave.
Service was good.

Our room faced Victoria St, so there was a bit of traffic noise. Nothing that disturbed our sleep. If that is a concern, there are rooms facing a quieter side street that would probably be quiet.

We would definitely stay here again.

My gf needed to come to Waterloo for a research conference, being from Mississauga we decided that finding a hotel/motel would be our best option. (Last minute decision). Being a couple 20 something's attempting to budget, we decided the "Mayflower" looked to be habitable, decently cheap, and location convenient for the both of us as it would be an early morning... unfortunately, we decided to book a room.
When we arrived we were checked into what I could only describe with one word, which was horrific... We were checked into a "smoking" room (not sure of that's for cigs or crack but whatever). It was the furthest room from the office, around the side of another rented room. The room was quite obviously a hack addition to the side of the motel. We arrived at our room, marked "16B" with green whiteboard marker. On the other side of the door, beside a large duct taped hole (I can only assume is from a cops boot) was our deadbolt, which looked like it had be re fastened to the door about 23 times, and wouldn't keep a fast moving swarm of gnats out, the swinging lock was stuck in position and did not function at all. The television was hung from the wall above a D.I.Y bookshelf beautifully crafted from un-sanded pieces of plywood and stuck together with old roofing nails, and wood glue. The one window the room had (because the other one was boarded up with a thin piece of plywood and duct tape) was cracked, drafty, and littered with dead insects, and what looked to be crack ash from a pipe. The bed sheets and pillows had stains on them from whatever kind of bodily fluid the previous renter had leaked onto them, and were obviously not properly washed or sterilized. The mattress itself was a deep yellow, and older than both my girlfriend and I combined and smelled like an abandoned hospice. As you could only imagine the floor was equally, if not more stomach turning. The single electrical outlet the room, duct taped to hang inside a fist hole on the far end of the room actually worked to charge my phone long enough to realize they don't even have working WiFi. After a long day of work and driving we decided we would try to make the best of the situation, and stay the night. We completely unpacked the car in fear of having everything we brought smashed or stolen into our un-lockable room, and made out way across the street to the McDonald's for a bite to eat. After a brief discussion, and a peek at the Mayflower's website my girlfriend and I decided that for $80.00 on-top of a $25.00 "security" deposit we were deserving of a different room, or a partial refund as this was not as advertised. Some other rooms beside us were much nicer and vacant. So we headed over to the check in office where the real experience began... (We've been checked in for roughly 20 minutes at this point) As calmly, respectfully, and patiently as possible, my gf asked the lady working front desk if there was any other vacancies available because not only was the room unacceptably dirty, it was some sketchy back room that didn't even have a working lock or wall plug. The lady refused us a new vacancy, or refund. We asked that we spoke to her manager who came out after a few minutes in the back and immediately came out hurling insults. We explained the situation, which he argued to no end by screaming at us over the counter. We asked how he thought it was okay to rent that room to us for the same inflated price the other rooms were, well knowing what's behind the door. This time his wife piped up and told us that it was because my gf was a prostitute and we "come here to f***" after short words of my thought on his insul the manager decided to leave from behind his desk and come get into both of our faces and initiate a physical fight... Trying to de-escelade the situation we decided to try to go pack up our things and just leave without a fight. Followed closely behind the mayflower family trio, armed with a 2x4 the father met us on the doorway to escort us to my vehicle where we left more than willingly. This place is a hole DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!

Stopped in for a short 6 hour sleep from a road trip. Owner answered the door when we rang the bell without shoes, in a stained tshirt and hardly spoke 2 words. We asked for a late checkout since we were only going to be there for 6-7 hours, but were told it was $10 extra an hour. Got to the room, front door had a huge draft, room smelled of old cigarette smoke even though we asked for non smoking, pillows were paper thin, cover had cigarette burns in it and was ripped everywhere, the floor was slanting and was obvious when you walked. We would've been better off sleeping in our car somewhere than stopping here and wasting $70.

Was at this motel for two nights in the month on may, everything was fine for the first 30 minutes, the one of the staffs came in on request and kept asking several questions, just like an interrogation, like we some sort of criminals or suspect. The staffs there (at least the 2 that I met, I think one named victor) were rude and kept raising their voices at us. The motel was an okay motel, our only issue was with the staffs we met on site.
