I found this hotel by accident when I was randomly looking for somewhere to stay for a mini getaway. And I struck gold the day before we planned to go. We loved everything about this hotel. It was likely one of the coldest weekends. But that didn’t stop me from sitting out on the deck/balcony. While we were in full view of the lake, that view sometimes was obstructed by the snow; so bad they were closing the roads, but obviously no fault of the hotel. I imagine in better weather, the view is spectacular most of the time. This hotel is a gem. All rooms have water views. There are muskoka chairs on the balconies to relax on while you enjoy the view. We were on the third floor in a lovely room. It may have been the time of year but the hotel was very quiet. There were other guests but we barely saw or heard anyone. The bed was comfy. The room was clean and had little extras like a wet bar and microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. The pressure of the water in the shower was unlike a lot of hotels. Often there isn’t much of a water trickle/spray but these showers were wonderful and the bathroom was so nice. The free breakfast blew me away. I expected some toast and dry cereal and not a lot more. This breakfast had so much food, so much variety. There is a small seating area you can eat in but you could also take the food to your room. All of the staff we had any connection with were wonderful. Friendly, accommodating and helpful. The hotel is in prime location. A couple minutes walk to the beach in one direction. A couple minutes walk to the downtown in the other. Kincardine is one of the typical small towns that have such character and the stores downtown are not your usual chain stores. I am so glad that I stumbled onto this property online. Our recent visit won’t be our last visit. We are planning to come up in the summer and bring family.…
We stayed at the Inn at the Harbour for 2 nights mid September, 2021. The inn is located directly across from the lake and the scenic lighthouse. We had room 303 , it was clean and well appointed. The view from the balcony (especially the sunset over lake Huron) was fabulous. The continental breakfast was excellent and followed Covid restrictions very well. We thoroughly enjoyed our mini vacation at the inn.
Very nice hotel. Clean. Nice view of the marina and Lake Huron. Good breakfast that is included. Had room with 2 queen beds. Beds are comfortable. If you want view of the lake do not take room on main floor as I am not sure how can you have nice view, plus electric cars will park by your window. Very nice place. Planning to come back soon
We had the pleasure of staying here over the Labour Day weekend 2021. We were treated so well that we went again Sept 29-Oct 2. We were greeted with a smile and found the staff eager to ensure every need was met. The continental breakfast had lots of variety. Recommendations for restaurants, trails, shopping, and the Sunset Cruise. They supplied contact information for a Fishing Charter! The rooms were exceptionally clean, as were all halls and stairwells.October 1st is my husband's birthday, and upon entering our luxury executive suite, there was a vase of flowers and Sparkling Grape Juice, and two Champagne glasses, just as I requested. Noteable is we were not billed for this. The magnificent sunsets from our balcony were exceptional! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were treated so wonderfully, they made us feel like we were the only guests in this quaint Inn. We will be back for sure and would encourage you to book with this local business. You won't be disappointed!…
This was a wonderful stay and Mark was very helpful answering all our questions. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and looking at the marina. We are already planning a spring visit. We had a wonderful lunch at the Bruce, they make the best Reuben sandwich.
