My husband and I were looking for a walleye fishing experience and Big Narrows resort did not disappoint. Jordan was our guide for three days - and he knows all the best places to fish! We caught our limit of walleye every morning and would then fish (and catch) perch, bass and northern pike in the afternoon. In addition to the fishing and beautiful views of the lake, we saw lots of eagles, pelicans, a huge snapping turtle, and loons. The food was very good and I appreciated being served three meals a day. In addition to the attention from Jordan and his wife Christina - the rest of the staff were friendly and very accommodating. The shore lunch was a hit - the fish cannot get fresher than from the boat to the frying pan (cleaned by Jordon in between) to our plates.

We highly recommend the Big Narrow Resort.

Jordon and Cristina were great hosts.
Accommodations were great with the best views of the lake anywhere in my opinion.
Evening meals were delicious and the staff even prepared an outdoor fish fry for us.
The beach was great for the kids and good place to get a tan.
Fishing was outstanding with Walleyes biting almost everywhere. One of my granddaughters had a goal to catch her first Musky-she caught two!
All our needs and requests were met.
I would highly recommend Big Narrows.
Thanks again to Jordon, Cristina and staff for a great trip.

Guest service is at the top of the list for Jordan, Cristina and the rest of the crew at Big Narrows. The Big Narrows crew saw to every facet of our stay as if we were the only group in camp. Our four-person group caught plenty fish including a 52" Musky! Jordan put us on the walleye right away. My son and I enjoyed watching a black bear go about his day foraging on an island about 4 kilometers from the camp. Bald Eagle sightings were very frequent.
A special hat tip to the chef. The food was amazing and included quite a variety ranging from bison roast to really good meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Breakfast was perfect every morning. Shore lunches were fantastic with the very best fresh cut fries. They shared their secret on how to prepare them. You should visit the camp for the fries alone!
The camp boats were in great shape, clean and ready to go at all times.
Make plans for a visit and be sure to ask Jordan about his music play list. I am an old goat and still enjoyed the selections he played while cleaning fish. Jordan's total respect for the beauty and animal life of his slice of Canadian heaven is remarkable.

Jordon, Christina, and the staff were amazing! I cannot say enough about how great the staff is at BNR. They did everything in their power to make our vacation the best it could be. With water levels at extremely high levels, they made sure the docks and walkways were accessible. The food was outstanding, and the views from our cabins were second to none. The fishing was awesome and we never had to go far to reach good spots. We only wanted to do three things- Fish, relax, and eat. The team at Big Narrows made sure everything was taken care of so we could do just that!!

Just returned from our 4th visit to Big Narrows Resort. The reasons my son and I keep returning to BNR are fantastic fishing, beautiful scenery and phenomenal levels of service provided by Jordon, Cristina, Cheryl, Sham and the rest. We highly recommend the American plan for fine dining in the great Canadian wilderness to make the trip more enjoyable. The attentive service of the BNR crew is greatly appreciated and we are sure to be back again next year for visit number 5!

Our group (husbands & wives) was looking for a Canadian fishing experience where our diverse fishing group (experienced to novice) could find an enjoyable vacation and…. BNR was a Bullseye! First, I want to say thanks to Jordon, Cristina, Bill, Sham, Clara, Katarina, and Jordan’s Mom (Sorry, I didn’t catch your name but will be coming back for more brownies!). This staff works hard to make sure your stay is a good one but also has fun…. Even during a flood!
To simplify the review… I’m booked again for next summer! As long as Jordon and staff are there I know our week will be enjoyable.
The fishing… my wife didn’t care to fish sun-up to sun-down but hauled in her share of smallies, walleye, and a few pike. I was fortunate enough to catch my first Muskie and had a follow by one even bigger.
The food… Hats off to those in the kitchen for making all those great meals. It was nice to sit around the table with our group and chat about the day. My wife happened to have a bday while at BNR and the staff was so nice to help celebrate. I will just say the staff went above and beyond for the bday dinner and especially the brownies! Thanks again for making it very memorable.
To summarize, if you are looking for a large and glitzy fishing camp with a sterile corporate feel and no character, don’t look at BNR. If you want a genuine experience, great food, wonderful scenery and timeless memories.... BNR is the ticket. My wife and I really enjoyed our week and are already thinking about our trip next summer. The week we are there in ‘23 will not fall on my wife’s bday but I’m still hoping for those brownies!!!

Another year and another amazing stay at Big Narrows Resort. Located near the best fishing on LOTW, you won’t have to venture far from camp to catch fish. Muskie and walleye fishing were the best we’ve experienced. Jordon and Cristina are amazing managers and do everything they can to make sure your stay is incredible. They know how to run the resort, and continue to excel at it. Master chef Cheryl cooks delicious food for breakfast and dinner. You will never be hungry, everything she cooks is fabulous! We’ve stayed here 3 times now, and I can say there’s never been a meal I didn’t love. We recommend the American plan for that reason. A bonus is that you overlook the most beautiful part of the lake as you eat. Make sure to catch walleye for a delicious shore lunch put on by the crew, and for Cristina’s homemade ceviche. You won’t be disappointed in either! BNR is constantly being upgraded, from replacing boards, to renovating the cabins and main lodge. It’s clear that the staff cares about this place, and wants to continue to make the resort an amazing place to visit. Also wanted to shout-out Adam, Sham and Pavel for helping renovate the resort and also for catching the walleye for shore lunch. Couldn’t have been happier with our stay, and can’t wait to be back again!

Great accommodations! We did the American plan and were very happy we did! The food and service were really wonderful! Shore lunches were phenomenal with the best fried potatoes I’ve ever had. One of the members of our party has been going to a different part of Lake of the Woods for 50 years and really enjoyed this area. The fishing was great! Jordan and his family were so welcoming and made us feel like we were at home. Really appreciate you guys!

Hospitality is great, excellent meals. Jordan met us at the dock and had all parts of our stay covered. We stopped here for one night on a 3-night Seadoo adventure on Lake of the Woods.

Rustic elements of the resort, rich history, and stunning views make this an excellent choice.

We have made two visits to Big Narrows Resort and we cannot speak highly enough about the fantastic job Jordon and Cristina do in taking care of guests. Once again they have significantly exceeded our expectations. Our group enjoys conversing with both of them on a wide variety of topics.

If you are passionate about fishing and taking in amazing views of nature then I highly recommend Big Narrows Resort and the American Plan they offer.

We look forward to our group's next visit there.
