The rooms were lovely, the property was very clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly. We had our dinner at a restaurant which was located just across the parking lot (very handy and quite good). In the afternoon, they offered soup and cookies to guests. They also had a lovely, well stocked coffee and juice area which was always open. The breakfast was excellent and available very early, which was great as we were hitting the road early in the morning. Many thanks!

If you've stayed at a Super 8 before, this location would be typical of what you'd expect. Everything was clean and worked well. Breakfast had a limited set of selections. Staff was friendly and competent. If you have heavy luggage, request a ground floor room because there is no elevator.

How secure do you feel in this hotel that puts up a sign on the multiple exit doors saying take the rock out of the door when you are done? They also left all of the fire doors open.

You cant blame everything on the Covid, but the staff tried. If you cant serve breakfast because of Covid then either A. provide a coupon for the restaurant next door or B. reduce the price of our stay which was supposed to include breakfast. We received neither.

The cups in our room are paper and paper cups in the breakfast hall no effort is being made by Super 8 to recycle any of this as there is only one garbage receptacle that we saw.

How about investing in a dishwasher and some glassware, plates, cups and cutlery to reuse daily? I am sure the clientele would appreciate this upgrade from paper cups and feel good about not adding needlessly to landfills.

The building is tired, the bathroom fan sounded like a 747 coming in for a landing the bar fridge sound like that same 747 taking off. These two items were decades past replacement and did not contribute to a good nights sleep. Neither did the fact that when the toilet was flushed it ran for half an hour or so.

Dear latebecomesearly, Firstly, I would like to thank you for choosing the Super 8 by Wyndham Kenora for your accommodation needs while you were travelling through the area. We are saddened to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at our property. In regards to the rocks & signs on our exit doors stating to take the rock out, please be advised we have replaced all of our exit door locks, and removed the rocks that were being used to prop the doors open. We are incredibly sorry that this did not make you feel secure, and we are doing everything in our power to prevent any future occurrences. In regards to our breakfast, we are currently providing our guests with bagged breakfast, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are no longer allowed to operate our breakfast room OR provide our guests with reusable cups, we must provide them with single-use, individually wrapped cups. We hope to have some normality back in our lives & at our property as soon as possible, and with that we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future to better serve you! Stay safe & well. :)

Booked this hotel on our route home from Calgary well over a week in advance for a family of 5, 2 adults, 3 kids, even called to confirm the room would accommodate the 5 of us. We arrived at 9:30pm since we’d been driving for 15 hours and there was a roll away bed which would great, however it had no pillow, and there were 4 pillows in the room, I called the front fest and Brianna stated there were no pillows available, I asked how that could be we booked for 5 guests, she stated the pillows just went in the wash (at 10pm no less) and that they will be ready in an hour, I wasn’t pleased considering the late hour and that we’d be back on the road early, however I told her I would like one as soon as they were done, she said she’d bring one up. Everyone went to sleep I stayed up and waited for the pillow, Brianna never showed, I stayed awake until 1am waiting for a pillow....again how do you book a room with 5 guests and not have the accommodations ready when we arrive at 9:30pm at night, you definitely dropped the ball Super 8!!!! Do not recommend or will be returning! Not to mention the hotel and rooms themselves are tired and need updating.

Dear G7626CGlaurenj, Firstly, I would like to thank you for choosing the Super 8 by Wyndham Kenora for your accommodation needs. With that being said, we are saddened to hear that you were not satisfied with your stay at our property. Our guest rooms are set up to accommodate 2-4 people, if you require any extra amenities (including pillows & towels) you may make your request at the Front Desk. However, some days we are busier than others, and it does take us a while longer to do the laundry from the day. I am so sorry you did not receive the extra pillow that you requested, we are working tirelessly to prevent any future occurrences from arising. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future & better serve you! Stay safe & well! :)

The staff was pleasant upon arrival, the check in process was easy . I was provided information with available meals The room was clean and comfortable with a microwave, Kerig and a small fridge. Turning on the TV was challenging, I had to go to the front desk to ask for help. The front desks girl came to my room and attempted to “setup the tv”
, she also had a problem and called “Sue the housekeeping manager” who apparently has a connection with Shaw cable. She was able to get her Tv working, but there would have been no way that a guest would have figured it out.
I would recommend this hotel simply because of the extra effort the staff made to make my stay comfortable.

Kenora made a great place to stop on our trip across Canada. It`s cute and prosperous, and is the last real town before the Manitoba line. Because Manitoba was the only western province imposing strict quarantine on all entries at the time of our trip, we had to cross the province without stopping (about 5 and a half hours). The Super 8 was good value. The room was clean and comfortable, and they seem to be taking COVID seriously, though you have to be careful to avoid germs at the beverage/snack station, and avoid leaving germs yourself. They give out sack breakfasts in the morning. The location was slightly outside of town, but we found it easy to drive around and had no trouble parking in the evening.

The room was spacious and very clean. The staff were cheerful and helpful.
Breakfast featured the usual hot and cold items. Parking was free. The motel was very safe.
My only complaint is that the price was too high, but every motel in Kenora is overpriced.

Stayed here a few years ago and was nice to be back. Got a room on the first floor just inside the hallway and bottom of the stairs. The room was nice and had everything you need ( the mattress was on a slippery underpad of some sort so it tended to slide out quite easily while watching tv on the bed)
Staff was friendly; bagged breakfast was good..only 'complaint' is that it seems noisy with people coming and going at all hours..the room doors ( and hallway doors for that matter) are loud when they close..people dont hold the room doors when cloising them they just let them bang..i wish they could invent quiet doors and people just need to be quiet at either 1100pm or 530am! People on second floor are quite loud too..the first night we had a neighbour with two dogs beside the room..heard them several times. I would have asked to move if they were there longer than 1 night!
all in all, would possibly go back...

Rooms are clean, comfy and well-appointed, with most everything needed. Location is fine, but somewhat removed from city centre. Could use backup staff at reception, as we were kept waiting some 15 minutes as clerk talked to prospective customer about most everything under the sun. Bagged “complimentary” breakfast won’t suit many tastes and is taking the CoVid rules to an extreme compared to other hotels where we stayed in Ontario.
