Next time I'll probably sleep in my car if this is the only hotel available. The advertised pool was closed, the breakfast area was filled with dirty road workers, stains on the floor, hairs in the bed, and dirty wash cloth hanging in the shower.
Please stay elsewhere. We were woken up by a screaming patron outside our window. Later in the day this patron made their way into the hotel and staff were screaming for this patron to leave. Also, room was disgusting. Looked like the floor hadn’t been vacuumed in years, and the lights hasn’t been maintained in years. All lighting was extremely dark and dim especially in the bathroom.
I dont recommend this hotel to any one. Very old hotel with moldy smell inside the room which made our nadal allergies to come back right after 5 minutes being inside the room Iys not good for people who sufferes from asthma or nasal allergies .Ac was dirty and filter needed to be cleaned. Beds were just ok. Very old decor with old appliances. Very expensive for the quality provded.
property is not maintained, very expensive, indoor pool closed and the hallways smell very old and not maintained. The check in clerk was rude, there are no elevators and the floors are very uneven. It should just be bulldozed down.
This place was bad and the hallway has a gross smell. When we checked in the pool was broken. I said $200 is a lot to stay at a hotel with no amenities, not even the ones promised and the girl at the desk was so rude and told me I should go somewhere else. But since it was after 4pm I would be fully paying for my reservation at Travelodge. When we finally got to our room there was only one bed even though my reservation was for 2. The girl at the front desk argued and said I changed my reservation on June 10 even though I had an email from Travelodge on June 20 confirming my reservation of 2 beds. She was down right rude and ruined my stay. I will never stay here again and would recommend any other place in Kenora. There is no worse hotel
Whole property is nasty. Only stayed here because there were no rooms anywhere else in town when I had to stop in Kenora. Carpets may have been vacuumed but you would never know. They whole place smelled something awful. The rooms were dingy. The AC unit worked but sounded like it was going to explode.
This hotel needs an upgrade. We had to refuse our first room. Carpets are gross. Expensive for what’s offered. Rooms were dark and dirty. We won’t be back! Staff were accommodating and friendly. Restaurant next door was good.
As others state this hotel is not what their website reports. Substandard in all ways. Staff is however friendly. Wynndom hotels has a monopoly in Kenora. As a result the hotel costs are are overpriced.
It was a 210 dollar stay for a very dirty room, there were holes in the screen so mosquitos came in at night. As soon as we arrived while parking someone or possibly two people died in the parking lot from a drug overdose and we were yelled at to call 911, police and ambulance were then there for the rest of the day and most of the night. Did not feel safe there. Just a scarring experience and will never stay in Kenora again.
If you're traveling with small children please stay somewhere else. The rooms have a musty, uncomfortable smell. The noise coming from the front door travels upstairs and is impossible to sleep (at least that's where we think the loud noises where coming from). The playground looks unsafe.
