Fantastic overall experience, hospitality was great, fishing was great. Guides put us on a lot of fish and we were able to find tons of walleye, pike, and bass less than 10 minutes from camp. Can’t wait to go back!

My son and I returned to Crow Rock the 3rd week of August with 2 other friends and my stepson from Miami. The only problem that we had was travel which really didn't surprise us during the last two years of universal weirdness. As a result all of us had to spend our first night in Kenora are we were lucky to get the last 3 rooms. The hotel as an expensive "dump"and it was not a Ritz Carleton. On the return to Florida the 3 of us were forced to spend an extra night in Winnipeg. As to the lodge. First, Kurt is a first class host. Always comes over to us to see if everything is going to plan. His staff is great, the food is good, the rooms are very clean and I especially enjoy getting fresh towels daily as well as the floors being mopped. As to the fishing it was GREAT!!! The second day out my son and I LANDED over75 Walleye. Our last afternoon we landed about 35-40 more before we got chased off the lake because of a really bad storm. Finally, we had three guides that were terrific! Each were competent and were needed because of the size of Lake of the Woods. We will be back up again next year and hope to bring along more family and friends.

We had an amazing trip at Crow Rock! Getting our 3 generations together is often a challenge. So, getting that time together was a treat for us. Add to that the incredible hospitality that the staff, the guides provided for us, and it was a recipe for success. I am aware that our group can be a bit needy. So, please know that we appreciate all the accommodations that were made to make our stay and experience just perfect. We’d love to make this a regular thing. Our most heartfelt gratitude to everyone that made our stay at Crow Rock Lodge just right. In particular, Trevor’s special attention and sensitivity to my brothers' vision impairments along with his well natured approach to teaching and guiding us all into a phenomenal fishing experience was something that we will never forget. Chris and Chopper were also spectacular to learn with and spend our time together. Chris guided my Dad into his PB pike and witnessing him land that fish was certainly special for me and my son. Lastly, your wonderful kitchen and wait staff deserve a special thank you. The demand over the last weekend was notably great and they all handled that with grace and ease from where we saw it. Thanks again for a fabulous time at Crow Rock. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

We decided to bring our extremely dedicated teenaged fisherman on a trip to Lake of the Woods. I had never been, and didn’t have anyone to ask. We did extensive research, and read many reviews. I called Crow Rock and spoke to Kurt, and we booked it. We are SO glad we did! It was an absolutely incredible experience. Way more than we expected. Fishing was so good, it was hard to believe it was true. My son and I each caught several PB’s, only to surpass them 2 more times each. Each day started with an incredible breakfast. We had the same table in the lodge for breakfast and dinner, and we got to know many of the other guests and share stories. Fishing from 8-5 and dinner at 6. Dinner…wow. Excellent food, gourmet, something different each night, and homemade desserts! We headed back out after dinner for another few hours of fishing each night, as it got dark around 10pm. We had a guide for a couple of days, and he was excellent- put us on some big fish, and good numbers of them too. We learned so much. The days we didn’t have a guide, we still did really, really well, even though we had never been there nor do we fish lakes much at home- mostly rivers and ponds. Kurt and the staff pointed out some spots on the map, and gave helpful hints for us to find our own. The boats were solid, and in very good shape. It was a joy to take them out and fish. The lodge has sole fishing rights to 7 or 8 lakes that guests can fish. We chose to fish one of these lakes for a day, and were dropped off in the morning after breakfast. We had our own boat, and fished the full day. We were the only people on the lake, and it was 300 acres bigger than a lake we fish back home that usually has several dozen boats on it at any time. To top it off, we caught a ton of fish that day too. My son and I will have these memories for a lifetime, and are planning to return next year! The lodge is comfy, very clean, with a nice tv and couches, connected to the office and dining area, and a small area where they sell tackle (very handy to have). The cabins are very comfortable, and renovated. Staff was fantastic, location was great (35 minute boat ride from Kenora) - far enough away to get a wonderful wilderness experience, in great comfort. Glad we found Crow Rock and can’t wait to go back!

My brother and I have fished out of Crow Rock Lodge for the last three summers and wouldn't go anywhere else for our annual Labor Day Weekend trip to lake of the woods. Kurt, Wendel and their entire team do an incredible job, are very accommodating, and make it a great experience from start to finish. We only fish musky, but there's groups fishing out of the same camp targeting walleye, small mouth, northern, etc. All have good luck either on their own or with one of Crow Rock's guides. Guides are just good people and fun to spend the day with in a boat. Boats available are far better than we've experienced at other locations. Food is great, you won't go hungry and have a great bar on-site if you want a drink after a day on the water. Don't go anywhere else.

I have been going to fishing lodges since I was very young. I have fished from Great Slave Lake in the Northwest Territory to a place in Venezuela for Peacock Bass (before Chavez) and most of Central America on both coasts. I particularly love fishing in Canada. Without a doubt Crow Rock might be the best place that I have ever enjoyed. First, the place is fairly easy to reach from International Falls, MN by car. Second, Kurt and his family have run Crow Rock for many years and do it really well. Food very good and lots of it. The cabins are spotless. The help goes out of the way to assist. Fishing was very good and the guides were great. My son and I each caught a trophy smallmouth bass, 1 large Musky and 2 big Northern Pikes. No complaints about this place. I'll be back next year. ENJOY!

Crow Rock and Rowdy lake are the absolute best fishing experience in Canada. We missed due to Covid last time around but already have 2021 booked. What a fantastic time. Giant pike and walleye and the small mouths are my absolute favorite. You lose track of how many fish you catch.

I had one of the best fishing trips ever thanks to the folks at Crow Rock Lodge. The staff, guides and accommodations were outstanding. The guides had us on large numbers of fish every day. The food, service and lodging were perfect and greatly appreciated. I’ve already booked my next trip there.

My husband and I just got back. They surpassed our expectations! The staff are great, it is a family atmosphere. The food was wonderful, you are not going to loose weight here. Definitely do the shore lunch at least one day, it was so fun and tasted SO good. Trevor and Jordy were our guides for fishing... could not have been better. Kurt the owner and his daughter Cassie.... just great. Can’t wait to get the chance to go back!
