Stay over the Easter weekend and overall the stay was good! However there were some not so good. The Good/Great - The food was amazing. I mean amazing. Well done Chef and team - Service on the whole was well meaning (they need training as a lot of people running around) however very friendly people - The grounds are beautiful,...

Thank you Wade76. We are so pleased to see that you enjoyed the Easter Weekend food, beautiful grounds, pool and staff. I appreciate your suggestions for the rooms and spa. It sounds like the blinds weren't fully closed in your treatment room and the sun is getting brighter. We will look into that. Best wishes, Hugh Sibbald.

My husband and I went here during the Easter long weekend. It was my 4th time here and my husband's 2nd time. Food - Excellent Service - Excellent Hotel - Really needs some renovations done. The pool area, games room and downstairs are renovated. We stayed in the Manor House - 4 poster room and although everything was functional, on...

Met friends and enjoyed a lovely one night stay at The Briars. Friendly staff greeted us at reception and checked into room just after 3:00. Took advantage of pool and jacuzzi, and enjoyed a fabulous dinner, with servers Nicole and Jermaine doing a great job, very polite, attentive and friendly. Food hot, well presented and delicious. Large portions, steak cooked...

My niece is heading for a job in Europe and I thought a bit of aunt niece bonding time was in order so I though I would treat us to a Spa treatment and lunch. I choose Briars, because I enjoy the place and its location. They had a special on for a spa treatment, great, so I booked. Everything...

Hubby and I stayed here for our 10th anniversary. The rooms are quaint and cozy and we enjoyed the fireplace. We enjoyed a couples massage at the spa which was amazing and relaxing. We ended up signing up for the membership. Staff were super nice and remembered us by first name which was appreciated. Dinner was seriously the best I've...

Very cozy country hotel. They are very accommodating with round the clock shuttles to some of the farther cottages. The food was great and all of the staff were top notch and some of the friendliest resort staff I've ever encountered.

We visited the Briars for two nights and purchased the trip via Wag Jag. The grounds are beautiful and even in the winter, the ambiance is very enjoyable. There are small self-contained fires with that great smoky smell around the grounds. We had a view of the lake. Our room had a balcony with two chairs. The room was clean...

My significant other and I visited this historic place tucked into the shores of the incredibly beautiful Lake Simcoe. The Briars is chock full of history and goes way back to when the British gave massive land grants to their retiring naval officers. After all, the "colonies" were won by them (from our aboriginal peoples). We enjoyed a massage, manicure...
