We recently stayed at Echo Woods B&B and were very impressed with the outstanding service and hospitality that the owners Bob and Darlene provided. Every morning the breakfast was superb and top notch - something you would find in a higher end restaurant! The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated along with the rest of the home. Great attention was paid to every little detail which made our stay more memorable. We will definitely return to this gem of a B&B!

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at Echo Woods. The house is beautiful and the room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, absolutely stunning gourmet breakfast that fills you up so you really don’t need much of a lunch. Yes breakfast is a 9Am however the host did accommodate us the one morning for and 8:30 one so we can hit the slopes at Hidden Valley. The place is clean and a few minutes out of town on a picturesque drive. I would highly recommended.

We stayed at Echo Woods for 2 nights in June 2023. The house and our room was immaculate and our bathroom had all the amenities that you needed. The breakfast was nothing short of perfect and so filling that it saw you right through to supper time (my husband said that it was the best breakfast he had on our 2 week trip round Canada) We had a very early start one morning as we were visiting Algonquin Provincial Park therefore we couldn't have breakfast so Bob & Darlene made us a lovely packed one to take with us which was lovely.
Thank you Bob & Darlene

From the moment Bob and the dog Boo greeted us, we knew we were in good hands.

Attention to detail in this immaculate B&B made our stay a wonderful experience.

The elaborate and delicious breakfasts lovingly prepared by Darlene kept us going until dinner. When we returned, there were also endless quality games for our amusement.

Our room (The Deer Trail) was spacious with extensive amenities and en suite. It was all that we could hope for.

Can't think of anything that could have been better .... made for a perfect and relaxing trip!!!

I have stayed in many B&B's but it will be hard to find a better one than this one. Think of luxury, a friendly welcome, an extensive and delicious breakfast that is more like a brunch, lots of space, beautiful location and I could go on ... Not for people who expect flexibility - the owners have a number of rules - but the experience is unique. Just a pity that there is a lock on the wine cabinet ;-)

Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure to have had you & your family stay with us. At the risk of sounding defensive, I would have to challenge you on the number of rules you claim we have. We are a traditional B & B and offer (3) distinct spaces, totaling over 1000sqft. for our guests to enjoy reading, listening to music, watching tv or playing board games we have provided. Our only rule that I am aware of is not to take food out of the communal fridge that you haven't put in, because it belongs to someone else. That is why our wine fridge is locked. Some people don't like rules. :)

We stayed there on our way to Algonquin. The house is beautiful, quiet and very clean. The hosts are very hospitable and give us access to several cosy rooms (including their library) to sit down and relax. But the best thing is the breakfast! It was a two-course meal (see photos) and it was probably the best breakfast I ever had. A very memorable stay.

Four of us- two couples- spent a night at Echo Woods in mid-July. We were en-route from Toronto to lakes further north and thought Huntsville would be a good place to stop to break up the trip. Echo Woods is a nice house about 1.5 miles from the town. The rooms are very modern and comfortable, with good mattresses and spacious, well-appointed bathrooms. (The room I was in had an excellent shower and a large bathtub.) The reason for our low rating is that we found the proprietors lacking in hospitality. When we arrived to check in, we were told that breakfast would be at 9:00. We replied that we needed to be on the road earlier than that and got a noncommittal response about whether that would be possible. Hearing nothing more that day, we sought out the proprietor in the kitchen that evening to repeat our request for an earlier breakfast. We were told that anything before 9:00 was impossible. She started to say that if we had informed them in advance an earlier breakfast might have been possible, but then backtracked to tell us even with advance notice it probably would not have been. There was no offer of any accommodation; even a suggestion that we could make our own coffee or that we might grab something- some crackers?- from the pantry ourselves would have been appreciated, but it was not forthcoming. When we inquired about whether there might be a discount for going without the much-heralded breakfast, we were told that we already, sort of, had received a discount because the normal minimum booking requirement was for two nights and we had been permitted to book for just one. All four of us have traveled extensively and we have never encountered a B & B in which there was so little interest in accommodating the travel schedule of guests; you would think we were the only travelers who ever needed to get on the road before 9:00! This all left a bad taste in our mouths, especially as the Echo Woods is not inexpensive. We would not stay there again.

If you search a perfect B&B - go to the Echo Woods. Darlene and Bob are wonderful, a warm welcome, spacious room - Deer Trail - , a big, big house to "use". In short a perfect place to be. At least a unbelievable breakfast from Darlene, any three star restaurant could do it not better. Every morning a great surprise, what we get. After breakfast Darlene sat with us talked about everything, she and Bob are so helpful. Thank you for wonderful three nights / days. If we could, we would give more than five stars.

We had an amazing two night stay in the Romantic Room at Echo Woods which is definitely a 5 Star B&B! The house is immaculate and tastefully decorated from the bright and airy Muskoka room to the relaxing ambiance in the lower living area with music flowing in the background. There are so many details throughout the house, beautiful pieces of furniture, eclectic art work and unique Knick knacks throughout.

The gourmet breakfasts are plentiful, beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. Darlene is an amazing chef, Bob a gracious host and Boo, a very friendly lab. Would highly recommend spending a few nights to fully experience the area, great company and wonderful home.
