Everything is just marginally acceptable. The soaps are so small it's hard to get a single wash out of them. The beds are just barely okay. Bright lights shine in front and back all night long and there's no curtain in the bathroom to keep those lights from shining in. The blackout curtains dont fit so a lot of light gets in around the side. The restaurant looks nice and the food is okay but too expensive. Stuffed mushroom appetizer had three mushrooms for the high price. The drinks were small. Everyone is friendly and happy to take the money of the latest rubes.

Stayed overnight after a long day on the road. The motel room was large and reasonably clean, although the carpet had seen better days and I really did not fancy walking around without shoes on. This is a pretty basic roadside motel and would do the job if you just want to get a nights sleep - that is if your neighbours aren't a group of drunken men arguing, drinking and smoking right outside your room. This was unfortunate and kept us awake for a few hours, however once they stopped arguing amongst themselves it was mostly laughing with a fair amount of swearing - not the best but we soon decided we were not going to be threatened in any way. We were glad that we had been unable to park outside our room and our hire car was at the other end of the car park.
Now the bar/restaurant that is alongside this motel was a whole other story - the menu and food was excellent - we had lobster and shrimps and scallops and they were great. Not to mention the fantasic deserts that were paraded past the table after the main course, my husband deciding it would be rude not to indulge in a large slice of something chocolaty.
Breakfast was included in the room price and was served in the restaurant/bar this was good quality like the meal the night before.
So - room adequate for a night stopover (as long as you don't get the drunks). Restaurant excellent.

You get what you pay for. If you don't want to drive down the street to the Quality Inn, this place offers a clean room. No hairdryer, no closet, no iron. Double beds are comfortable, but the room smelled of cigarette smoke even though there is a no-smoking policy in place. The carpets should be replaced but otherwise, the room has been recently renovated. The bathroom was very clean. A wonderful breakfast was included and I'd certainly go back for the food. The staff is super friendly - they even helped us store our bicycles in a secure area for the night.

If you're looking for one of the worst places to sleep, then look no further! Stephanie's will make you feel like at a hellhole with it's terrible wifi, lack of lighting, pillows made of rocks, and a showerhead that sprays like a leaky hose. The ambience provided by paper walls and a railroad track directly beside your window will help you keep that insomnia you've been desperately trying to get rid of the second you set foot in here. Looking for service? Good luck! With the reservation desk also doubling as a bar, you'll only have to wait a few hours while the bartender deals with noisy french drunks earlyin the morning. Thanks for the stay, will definitely never recommend to anybody ever, not even my worst enemy deserves this hell.

Reserved a rm w/queen bed for 2 nights. Got a rm w/queen frame but double mattress with a huge gap at the foot! Complained and stated we paid for queen rm, they insisted it was a queen. We have a queen bed at home, this was def a double! Mattress was worn out and noisy. The queen rm also has a jacuzzi (single person) but has no shower! Bathroom floor was covered in long dark hairs, I'm blond and hubs has short hair. Even though this is in Ontario, everyone speaks French 1st. A large group of French men partied outside their rooms, 2 doors down both nights until 3am. Horrible weekend! Do not recommend this motel. Restaurant was ok but quite pricey for what you get.

That place needs an uplift desperately. The rooms stinks of cigarette smoke. Get rid of the carpets, get new mattresses; you need new lamps that work properly;no hairdryers. If you revamp the place, I might stay there again. Until then, I will drive further for better acomodations.

We were there on May 25, a Saturday for lunch after the funeral if my father-in-law. We were a group of 20 people and got seated in a private area of the restaurant where we were quiet. The menue is very complete and all our plates were served hot and with plenty of food. All has very good and the service is was perfect.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone passing by on their way between Ottawa and Montreal, using old highway 17.

This motel is on the main highway in a small town. Considering the other options around this is a fantastic choice. The room was small but had both a double bed and single bed. Everything was very clean and the staff were pleasant.
I ate dinner at the restaurant and other then being looked at strangely for eating alone, the food was excellent.
There was ice build up outside the door but considering the weather it wasn't unexpected. The highway was a little noisy but not that bad. The room had a window in the back that overlooked a store with a huge outdoor light. I had to close the blinds to keep my room dark.

The worst restaurant experience in a while. They made us wait an hour for our table even though we had reservations. The service was poor and the food was not great. Definitely a place to avoid in Hawkesbury.

I have stayed both here and the Best Western in Hawkesbury. I chose to stay here this last trip because it is a little less expensive and the restaurant is excellent. Also, I didn't have to leave the property to get a meal. The room includes breakfast. It was excellent with fresh fruits and just wonderful. The rooms are ok, clean but a bit of a smoke smell even though they are non-smoking. They seem old and I didn't have much luck with most of the lights in the room. The mini fridge was nice to have. So if you are not going to be in the room , except to eat and sleep. It's great. The food is great. The price is good. It's close to the Walmart and other stores.

If you want a motel to relax in the room or have some amenities, pick the Best Western. It is slightly more, but it has a nice swimming pool, computer, laundry room, etc. And you can go a few miles and still eat at Stephanies.
