When we walked into the B&B we felt we were back in history. The decor was beautiful, elegant and exquisitely decorated. The room was very clean, comfortable with beautiful decor. The breakfasts were very eye appealing and extremely delicious. Annette is very friendly, very helpful and such a nice person that we felt very much at home. We would call Annette a ‘super host’. Perfect location to the downtown area. Easy walking distance. We would recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely return. Lewis & Marilyn (Ottawa)
I have now stayed at Bacchus House twice. I could not resist going back! Absolutely beautiful home! I stayed in a different room both times and the beds are super comfy, noise does not travel, and the decor is so well executed! Annette, the host, is an amazing woman! Great convo and a super friendly host! She was the main reason I wanted to go back! As well, the house is situated in walking distance to downtown Collingwood so it was great to walk to dinner, especially after having some wine in the hottub to relax! I look forward to my next stay!
My boyfriend and I stayed at Bacchus House for his birthday. Annette is a gracious and accommodating host, the house is beautiful (I especially loved the old school toilet and brass taps in the bathroom) and the breakfast was perfect. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you Annette!
I've stayed at this B&B a couple of times over the past few years. Every visit is delightful. The house is charming, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, the beds are pristine, the breakfast is outstanding, and the host Annette is a treasure. She is helpful with local information and assists making your stay as easy as possible. Highly recommend Bacchus House.
A must stay if travelling to Collingwood or surrounding areas! This beautiful victorian home boasts it's original features. The entrance is bold and the original staircase captures your eye immediately. The long upstairs hall way is beautiful and captured my heart for this old house. The champagne room was very comfortable with a separate seating area and the option for temperature controlled heating or cooling. There was a television with satellite available and a large jet tub in the room. We had a great sleep and enjoyed our time in the dining room the next morning. Breakfast was perfectly cooked and elegant. The dining room was on point with it's royal blues, wallpaper, original millwork and incredible antique chandelier to which I couldn't take my eyes off of!
I’ve stayed at the Bacchus house MANY times because I absolutely love it! The house is beautiful, most comfortable beds ever and the breakfast.....I HIGHLY recommend the Eggs Florentine. Annette is so friendly and accommodating. She makes you feel very welcome in her beautiful home. You won’t regret staying here!
We stayed at the Bacchus House in the large room at the back of the house. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I wanted to take the sheets home with me; they were so soft. Annette is a lovely host who isn’t afraid to let you know things to do in town, restaurants to visit and sites to see. She told us a bit of the history of the house as well. Breakfast had lots of choices, including gluten free options. She even makes the omelette by whisking the egg whites separately. We felt relaxed, never rushed during our stay. The house in quiet, a comforting place to stay in these difficult times. There is plenty of parking and a big deck if you just want to hang out. I would go back again. A mini vacation even though we were just there a night. Better than a hotel by far. …
This is our 3rd stay at Bacchus House, located close to the downtown area of Collingwood. The century home has 4 lovely large rooms, each with private bath. Annette is an exceptional hostess with good knowledge of the area, and her breakfasts are excellent! We would definitely stay here again
We were in need of both rest and relaxation, and Bacchus House was the perfect place for us. It’s within walking distance of some fine restaurants. Our room was amazing in comfort and amenities. We read, watched a bit of TV, and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. Annette prepared wonderful breakfasts that fit our individual preferences. We enjoyed visiting with her and look forward to returning in the near future.
I have had multiple stays at Bacchus House. Every room has incredibly comfortable beds and cozy bedding. Most recently, I stayed in the Pinot Noir suite and had such a comfortable and sound sleep. It was beautifully appointed with toiletries, water, and all the comforts of home. This time I used the hot tub as well. It was terrific. Annette and Andy Lee are incredibly hospitable. Annette makes delicious breakfasts and takes such care to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!!
