Basically a really good location. The facility at one time appears to be a lot nicer than it's current condition. We had a one bedroom condo for a week. It was quite spacious, but a bit beat up and worn and had quite a few maintenance issues. That said, the full kitchen had zero cabinet space beyond their plates, cups and silverware. So no room for anything that we brought with us for the week. Had an unnecessary electric Carafe to go next to the coffee pot, instead a blender would have been much more useful. The fridge was missing a couple shelves and door shelf retainer bars. Maintenance did come, but could only scrounge up half of the parts from another unit. There was not enough supplies eg... dish washer soap, toilet paper, Paper towels, no sponge etc... They wanted to charge us $25.00 to replenish these items and it could only be done on Wed. A lamp was missing in the bedroom, which they did bring to us. The bed was comfortable, we had a parking lot view, and it was quiet for the most part. Big Problem is they have 6 carts for over 200 units so check-in and check out is ridiculous! But they didn't try to charge us for being late checking out. They know they have this problem. They just won't fix it. 2nd Big Problem is they charge us 75.00 resort fee for the week. My husband asked what do we get for the resort fee? They said parking, WiFi and you can walk trails that the city has provided for free use by everyone. They were not on their property. Also the pool, But... you could only use the pool for 1 hour by making a reservation 24 hours in advance and that's if there were any spots available. They allowed 29 people if there was a life guard and 10 if there wasn't. Try to fit that in after your day hike in the mountains. We felt annoyed by their policies here and the general attitude of the front desk. We went as a timeshare exchange, and there were only 2 group activities. Usually they have a ton of activities set up for owners. The front desk told me one of the 2 activities was cancelled and it wasn't.

Our visit to the area was through an RCI exchange.

Apparently Club Cranberry is under construction, we were relocated to the Living Waters resort down the road. It would have been nice to be notified of the change of name and location. It was difficult finding the address given.

Our unit is spacious, however in need of a complete update. The kitchen was sparse with utensils and adequate kitchen ware to prepare meals. The Bathroom has a deep whirlpool tub with no hand rails. Hand rails are nice when there is such a high step to take a shower. The concept of a spacious one bedroom and the floor below with the studio is nice. The studio has no veranda. We enjoyed the veranda, but would have liked a water view.

It seemed as though we got an outdated, no view room because we were RCI members. The location was nice….near the water, trails and day trips. Restaurant had great staff and menu; daily specials and water views. The pool was expansive and well used.

In a nutshell: Location great! Nice to have restaurant on site! Easy access to Day Trips and Trail system! Staff accommodating! Unit needs upgrade! RCI members treated as the rest of the guests!

We originally we’re going to stay at Living Stone Resort but based on the reviews of this site, we paid for an upgrade to Living Waters. The location is central and easy access to Hwy 26, which makes exploring the south shore of Georgian Bay that much easier. The unit was clean and all the dishes were in the dishwasher, so we knew they sanitized. The 2 bedroom was nice and very open concept- it would have been nice to have drawers for clothes instead of leaving personal items in our suitcases. The barstools at the counter are unusable but match very nicely wth the decor.

We drove 2 days and hoped to golf at Club Cranberry- the tee off times were all booked for the entire week which brings me to the time share sales, they offer a golf voucher to attend a presentation.

We are going to exit our timeshare, so we have been to enough of these types of resorts to know to ignore the letter delivered to your door and the emails. We also did our best not to interact with staff and create an opening for a sales pitch.

Due to poor weather, we decided to check out a day early and had only our second interaction with the front desk. A clerk was training a new staff member- the trainee was pleasant and professional. However, the trainer ( the day shift on the 23rd) was NOT wearing her mask over her nose and when I asked politely for her to pull it up, she brought it to her nose and not over it. Maybe they don’t have to wear them but guests do? The fact that she was on a personal call until the trainee asked a question was annoying too. When she heard we were checking out early she was pretty happy about the early checkout. . It was extremely unprofessional and left a bad final impression. The houseboy vaping in front of the entrance didn’t help either.

After planning a 2 night/3 day birthday celebration for our 8 year old granddaughter, we were very disappointed and forced to conclude that this “resort” was the wrong hotel for a family event. Although staff were courteous and attempted to be helpful, we discovered the following:

1. The outdoor swimming pool was in effect an “adult’s only” pool - it was available to children for a very limited portion of the day. In addition, it was necessary to make reservations and those reservations were limited to one hour.
2. Room service was only available if you made a formal request and were prepared to pay for it. Consequently, the beds were not made and towels were not replaced (we did receive some extra face clothes after making requests).
3. We were disappointed to discover that coffee was not available in the lobby after 8am and the hotel restaurant was not open until 9:00 am.
4. There was no bottled water in the room. When I asked, the front desk stated that I could get bottled water from the vending machine. However, the vending machine was empty. The staff at the front desk then said that they (the hotel) was out of bottled water. I have never heard of a hotel running out of bottled water.

Given the price of the rooms, this experience was very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel, especially if you have children.

We exchanged through Interval International years ago with this property and supposedly it has been remodeled. Not sure if they have a rotating rental agreement (that means that condo owners can put their condo in a rental program). I assume they must. Our room, was on the third floor. When we got to our room (#3307 & #3309) we were confused as why two room numbers on one door. You HAVE to climb up another flight of stairs in a very small cramped indoor stairwell) to access either room. This room is OUTDATED. The shower has bathtub spout in the shower, where you have to pull up on the handle to get the diverter to send water out of the shower head. Shower leaked out onto the floor from the shower stall, tile was dingy, it all was dingy!!!!! Everything was dingy. I don't know if Interval Members are singled out for the worst rooms, but it sure feels that way. The condo complex was very nice, but that didn't matter, our room was lousy. We were there to hike the Bruce Trail, which was magnificent.

Arrived at the hotel, the decent one and was told that we were going to be staying at the one across the street. That was ok as for us we wanted a little get away and to see what the time share possibilities were. While we were waiting in the line to check in, I over heard a member of staff rudely responding to a guest. He was situated about 2 meter away from the sliding does to enter and exit the premises. He was very impolite to say the least. We proceeded to get our self check in and the experience was not welcoming at all. We were place in a room that had water flooding from the room above (room 300) just across from the lift. The room was mouldy and as I have asthma l decided to ask the front desk for a relocation. I have the displeasure of speaking with MANUUEL who was at the front desk at the time, he was very rude and condescending, kept on Interrupting me and on more that two occasion told me to relax while we were communication on the phone. He sent a technician up to the room to check what I was saying and must have decided to change my room. It was done in a way that I have never experience before. The new room key was sent with a room cleaning individual who just stated here!. I went to the time share meeting very upset and at this time was not willing to even entertain the notion or possibility of purchasing one as the staff had let down the resort. I left the resort, but made a formal complaint it has now been about 2 weeks, I was called by the supervisor RAMAN who advised that she would have looked u to the matter and get back to me. I was not contacted so I made a call after about 5 days. To date I am still waiting………..

Aimee provided us with the worst check in experience that we have ever encountered. My husband and I travel extensively and often request an early check in depending on our expected arrival time. After a 3 hour drive we arrived at Living Water Resort at 1:30 pm and were told that not only was our room not a water view (as was described on the booking website) but a parking lot view and that since normal check in time was 4:00 pm we would have to wait until then to get into our room. I explained that we had booked a 3:00 tee off and she said she would message housekeeping while we were welcome to wait in the lobby. At 2:45 I was very fortunate to speak to someone at the golf course and explain my predicament and they did not charge us for the missed game. I did not see anyone else try to check in during the time we were waiting for our room to become available. I don’t understand why housekeeping would not prioritize a room for a customer who had already arrived and was waiting for a room. After waiting almost 2 hours for a room to be cleaned I asked to speak to the hotel manager and was told by Aimee that the manager was not available. I went outside to call about cancelling our hotel reservation as we were exhausted by this time and just wanted to go home. Suddenly, the other clerk, Nikki, came outside and told us she could now check us in, which she did quickly and efficiently.
On our last day we called to reserve a time to swim in the pool and Aimee told us the first time slot was full. We arrived 15 minutes before our scheduled time slot and the pool was empty and pool deck dry, which would indicate that there were no prior bathers before us. Clearly this person does not enjoy her job, or enjoys making guest’s vacations miserable instead of happy.

Overall it was just Ok! We stayed in the pet friendly rooms, so this is in the older building, I did love that we can bring our dog.
We were not able to do early check in. We were in room 218
Check out is too early at 10am. We did not have a coffee maker, although they give you coffee our machine was missing.

Stains on the bedding, Stains on the carpet, wall paper is pealing off the wall, chips off the furniture and the bed frame is coming apart at the seems.
The rates for the room depending which site you shop on range from $200 to over $400 for the older building, with no breakfast, for a basic older room is too much in my opinion.

The mattress is horrible, we had a horrible sleep.
The pillows are also terrible. There is a small bar fridge, but no microwave and no plugs by the bed to charge your phones.

The gym is the smallest gym I've seen in my life, in a closet in the main foyer when you walk in, my husband was not comfortable using it, and he goes to the gym everyday. You still have to reserve the pool, we did not use it.

The location of the property is great, just up the street is all the stores you need including Walmart, pet stores, restaurants, Blue Mountain is 10min drive.
Staff were friendly with us, the dinning room is all closed down for Renovation.
They do take a $200.00 deposit. I'm still waiting to get mine back on my card.
All in all not sure we would stay here again, definitely not at the rate we paid.

My nephew got married at the Bear Resort this past Thanksgiving weekend and rooms were booked at the hotel for this purpose. I booked 3 rooms for myself and my family of 10. From the very start it was an absolute nightmare to try and get through to their phones. I couldn't book the rooms online as they were part of a group booking. It would take several tries and a couple of days to make any changes, requests or even dinner reservations. One request was that my 3 rooms be on the same floor. When I discovered we were separated, the supervisor came out after waiting for him for several minutes to give me that blank "I don't care" stare and told me there was nothing he could do. Then when I get to my room, I discovered that I was put in a handicap room and wasn't told at checkin. I usually don't mind but this bathroom would not even be helpful to someone in a wheelchair. There was no counter and a tiny pedestal sink with not enough room to even put your toothbrush down. No storage space at all. Soap dispensers over the toilet that would have been impossible for someone in a wheelchair. No towel bars. I actually took out the ironing board and put it in the room to give me somewhere to put my toiletries. The Lakeside Grill was another story. After two days of trying to get a booking, I had to call the front desk to walk over and get someone to call me. I will never stay at this resort again. I wouldn't mind so much and could overlook some of these things if I was paying $200 for the room - but these rooms cost $700 a night! Downtown New York pricing for a mediocre 3 star in Collingwood! For that kind of money, I expect excellent service and management that knows the hospitality industry.

We made a reservation for dinner for 12 business associates in the private dining room within the restaurant at Living Waters for 6.30 PM on August 2 2023. This reservation was made in person before the event and re confirmed before the event. When we arrived to our complete surprise a different party of 6 was already seated in the room. We asked to speak with the manager Emily Mallen. She did not reply or respond. If you are planning a wedding or a business event at this facility, based on our experience, my recommendation is to find a different facility with a more customer oriented business approach. This was not a good experience for our clients. The room was exceedingly noisy given that it was shared with others and the management response to the double booking was non existent.

We had a couples masssge and pedicure there in April. It was good but we only got the aqua walk at the last minute when an opening came up for some reason. We were staying at the living water resort, not the golf resort. I would not bother with the aqua walk personally. We much more enjoyed the Scandinave spa down the road. The restaurant food was good and our room was amazing . It was actually a condo with all cooking facilities.

Hello, currently the restaurant is closed due to the COVID provincial health orders. When the restaurant does eventually reopen for indoor dining in the summer, we do not know at this time if we will be offering a breakfast service. If we do, it is not included in the room price.

If you read my past reviews, you’ll see that the old apartment-style Cranberry Club timeshares are miles different from the newer hotel rooms. Pools may stay closed indoors, due to provincial pan demic restrictions; but Georgian Bay is clean to swim at Living Water/Shores accommodations by the waterfront. Guests may also borrow and use watercraft at the marina there.
