What a dump, had to call maintenance 5 times in a one week stay. T.v cable missing, no hotwater in either bathroom, broken microwave and the smoke detector going off from 4am until 9.30 when maintenance came and took the unìt away. We were offerd $25.00 coupon between 4 of us for their own restaraunt. Also, the carpets are filthy.
Great place to stay. Friendly staff and guests. Rooms quiet, clean, and well appointed. So many activities on site ... pool, hot tubs, fitness room, meditation group, aquafit in am, spa, restaurant, and summer water sports. Right on the water! Always stay here when in Collingwood.
Overall it was just Ok! We stayed in the pet friendly rooms, so this is in the older building, I did love that we can bring our dog. We were not able to do early check in. We were in room 218 Check out is too early at 10am. We did not have a coffee maker, although they give you coffee our machine was missing. Stains on the bedding, Stains on the carpet, wall paper is pealing off the wall, chips off the furniture and the bed frame is coming apart at the seems. The rates for the room depending which site you shop on range from $200 to over $400 for the older building, with no breakfast, for a basic older room is too much in my opinion. The mattress is horrible, we had a horrible sleep. The pillows are also terrible. There is a small bar fridge, but no microwave and no plugs by the bed to charge your phones. The gym is the smallest gym I've seen in my life, in a closet in the main foyer when you walk in, my husband was not comfortable using it, and he goes to the gym everyday. You still have to reserve the pool, we did not use it. The location of the property is great, just up the street is all the stores you need including Walmart, pet stores, restaurants, Blue Mountain is 10min drive. Staff were friendly with us, the dinning room is all closed down for Renovation. They do take a $200.00 deposit. I'm still waiting to get mine back on my card. All in all not sure we would stay here again, definitely not at the rate we paid.…
I would highly recommend this resort. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and the kitchenette was nicely stocked with things we needed for our stay. We ordered takeout from their onsite restaurant the the food was awesome. We even had extra time to spend on the pool and whirlpools, which were clean and not crowded. The staff were very friendly and professional. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely book another stay soon.
Do not book here- We arrived Fri feb 2024 had the aqua path booked for 7:30pm was expecting a relaxing clean experience . The Aqua Path is in need to major restoration, broken tiles, "made to look like stone walls falling apart, Shower controls completely missing, when taking a good look the dirt accumulation is terrible. The mineral hot baths - which are just hot tubs had so much chlorine added i had to sit on the edge because my eyes were burning. Anyone who understands using salt water chlorine shouldnt be needed, secondly the smell from chlorine only is present when the water has bacteria which indicates to me that the water is not clean and full of bacteria. Secondly lets talk about the upgraded 1 bedroom condo the filth was like nothing I have ever seen, the floors not washed, vacuumed, oven filthy, dirty dishes put away, dining chairs full of food, shower had mould, washroom floor disgusting in corners, shower glass had finger marks, dried old urine on the toilet. the furniture was falling apart, flooring severely damaged Now onto the second "premier" room best of the best they told us... food on the floor, bathtub dirty with dirt ring, hair, dirty kitchen cabinets with food, dining chairs full of food, dining table base full of food, dirt and when the housekeeping staff moved the sofa we all stood n disbelief the filth was disgusting even so much so the staff commented how disgusting this was. We spent 1/2 a day waiting for our second room issue to be addressed, imagine the resort did not even offer us a complimentary coffee to have while we waiting for them to clean our second room?? DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT stay at this resort, the swimming pool washrooms are filthy sauna is dark dingy and broken the outdoor hot tub jets do not operate mainly because the volume of people and the lack of backwashing the tub to clean it - everything about this resort was dirty - not once did we see house keeping staff have dirty bed linens when cleaning check outs... makes you wonder are the linens even changed? I feel like if they look clean they just make the beds...…
6 of us stayed at living water resort and spa the night of February 11th 2023. We had a connecting double room with a king suite (5104&5106) When we returned from the pool we noticed that our bathroom floor was very wet in room 5104, to then realize water was pouring out of the light in the shower. We went right down to the front desk to advise, they had me air drop the video and sent us back to our room. No one came to fix it or give us an update. Upon checkout I again let the front desk know what happened, showed the video, they could see the notes on their system, I stated that I wanted to give them an opportunity to make the situation right and was advised the manager was not in that day and would be back Monday morning, but that the msg would be pass on to contact me. It has been a week of me trying to get a hold of the manager who I am always told is not in, I have left messages with every person I speak to as well as voicemails when they transfer me to the managers line. Nothing has been done, no one has contacted us and we didn’t have a bathroom that could be used due to safety issues since it’s not safe to have water coming from electrical as you stand in water. Very disappointed and at this point am expecting after another msg I will not get a response. I also asked what the complaint escalation process was and the person said ‘I can’t tell you that right now’. Highly DO NOT recommend this place. I am probably the nicest person to deal with for this complaint and have been trying to give them an opportunity to make it right and NOTHING…
We stayed at this place to ski at Blue Mountain, 10 minutes away. It’s no Four Seasons—without bellhop/extras, but the location near downtown Collingwood is good. (Metro supermarket is 4 minutes away.) It was better in summer; there’s not much to find enjoyable in winter, like the Southwinds Marina and bike trails of Living Water. Living Stone is the hub (9 Keith Ave), around which are found the old Cranberry “Club” and Living Water 15 minutes’ walk across the road. People say good things about the Cranberry golf course and Aquapath /Living Stone Spa (9 Harbour St.); a hotel stay offers $20 resort credits towards that. (But without a working steam room now, why go, except for a massage?) We had the hotel room in Living Stone, before, and this time stayed in Club Cranberry—with no upgrades to a unit at Living Water. Here are the considerable features of all 3 “resort” accommodations: 1. Living Stone—better for couples and disabled people, although you’ll need earplugs if a light sleeper. These hotelrooms above the indoor pool are relatively newer with good wifi. A room with two beds sleeps four people. There normally are no bath tubs, just walk-in showers with a slight ledge. The “plus” here is that parking spots are ample, to freely go in and out, just outside Reception and Memories Bar & Restaurant ($16 breakfasts). 2. Club Cranberry—rooms in the 700s, with balconies facing the tennis/Recreation Centre grounds (open in summer), are quite dated but affordable for large groups. Typically, condos can be rented with full kitchen and king bed, plus a sofa bed to sleep two; this living area is adjoined by a locking door to a studio with two queen beds & ensuite. Laundry is free past the elevator at Ground level. Unlimited wifi for as many devices as needed makes up for the small digital TVs and finicky a/c & heater. 3. Living Water—slightly newer than Cranberry and better for families with toddlers (just not by the boat launch/popular rooftop lounge, which can get loud). There’s a quiet playground, pool with water slide, and trails that surround Georgian Bay, outside walk-up units with full kitchens. It feels remoter than the location is, across the road from Living Stone. People who trade weeks through RCI for a timeshare stay here did not find a resort ‘feel’. Yet, there are places to explore within driving distance: Wasaga Beach (25 min.), Creemore, a drive through Thornbury, and Flowerpot Island off Tobermory on the Bruce Peninsula...if you brave a further drive. We’ve stayed at this hotel a number of times, before and after it was taken over by Vitality. Thankfully, we’ve always managed to squeeze ourselves out of the pressured “feedback survey” (a.k.a. timeshare presentation). The local staff here are friendly but definitely are not hospitality graduates. Check-in is strictly after 4 pm. As my husband puts it, this is an oasis for seniors; it has just enough perks (& beds) to draw grandkids for a visit...but mostly in summer!…
Did the aquapath with my wife and teenage daughter. It was a cool, unique experience. We were directed to the first 2 “stations” and left alone for a while. Then directed again and left alone. Definitely not rushed through, which was nice. We were never told about the steam sauna so we missed that one. It was pricey for the 3 of us but it was unique and memorable for my daughter to celebrate her birthday
The Fairways unit was spacious and clean but could use some updating and minor fixes. The weather was super, mild and sunny for the most part. Lots of great hiking trails in and around Collingwood :-)
We were checking in at Living Waters Resort & Spa tonight when I noticed that the room they were giving us is a standard room while our confirmation email says that we have a waterside room. Arguments were had and the Manager insist that we should be in the standard room, the customer service here is horrible! Suman Preet the Manager was very unprofessional, she should not be in a customer service type of business. She raises her voice to a customer and threatens to cancel the reservation. This is not acceptable, I can't believe they tolerate this behavior in this Company. Why would this Resort send a confirmation email to a customer that they have a waterside room and then at check-in they tell you sorry we lied you only get a standard room and if you want the waterside room you have to pay $1000.00? I don't mind having a standard room if that is the room confirmed for me. Am I supposed to say okay to this deceitful act? If we can't trust their word why bother coming here? Beware of this resort, I don't recommend staying here, nothing special here anyway. No one needs to go through this horrible terrible customer service.…
