Returned to this motel after 50 years. It is still run by members of the same family. The original motel has almost quadrupled in number of units. The rooms are well decorated ,and five of the older units are being renovated at present. The new furnishings have been well selected. There is a very useful separate table and chairs for card and game-playing guests. The only thing missing in the rooms are a coffee maker and tea kettle, but this is not really a problem because Tim Horton’s is only a step away; literally in the same parking lot. The owners, Kathy and Bryan David are very friendly and helpful.

This is an excellent choice for a motel in Cochrane. It is on Highway 11 but set far enough back that there is no issue with highway noise. The owners ask for quiet after 11 PM so that guests can get a good night sleep. The rooms are fairly large and well furnished with desk, table, chairs, and dresser with drawers. Everything is well maintained and clean. There are no coffee makers in the room but Tim Hortons is about a one minute walk across the parking lot. Frig and microwave were available in the room and ice is obtained from an ice machine in the office. Free WiFi is available and works well. The owners are very knowledgeable about Cochrane and very approachable if you have any questions about the area. Great location, quality rooms, very reasonable price and friendly…

great location right on the trail park sled right in front of your room,,.right beside Tim Hortons, Gas stations, Restaurants,, stay away from the Panda Buffet Chinese poor selection, And Swiss Chalet old dried out chicken at 7:15pm on a Thursday nite

The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and affordable. Close to the snowmobile trails. Lots of parking and good for trailers. Gas station right there and a Tim Hortons too. Restaurants nearby. Right on Hwy 11 transCanada hwy.

AS always, great place to stay and very pleasant. Rooms are clean and recently renovated. Timmies right next door and several restaurants close by. The snowmobile trails are very close access and even the local Taxi drivers are friendly.

The Westway is a very clean and tidy independent hotel located in downtown Cochrane. We have stayed here each winter for the past few years on our annual snowmobile trip. You can park your sleep right outside your hotel room but there is also a central hallway. Ne of the buildings so you don't always have to go outside to visit your neighbours. Tom Hortons is right next door and the Yamaha dealer is across the road. So is a gas station. Snowmobiling trails are right near by.

We are avid snowmobile enthusiasts. Westway has been both a destination while touring and a base camp. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The family owned establishment has been around for over 50 years so they know how to take care of your lodging needs and requirements. Westway works great as a base camp because you can do day trips 150 plus out and back or use it as a stop over for your "big loop" trips. Tim H is right across the street so breakfast is quick and easy, not to mention good old Northern Ontario hospitality. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The polar opposite of the snubbing you get in Quebec. 10 minute walk or quick cab ride down the road you've JR'S for some of the best ribs and steaks around. Great clean place to stay with lots of truck and trailer parking. Complimentary vehicle plug in. Great comfortable beds. Large rooms. Close to all amenities in town. Owners very pleasant and will go out of their way to accommodate any requests.

First off all, you're in Cochrane. There is no Hilton. This is a good as it gets! I've stayed here twice. The rooms are CLEAN, quiet, and roomy. The staff go above and beyond for their clients. I will be coming back! Rating very good for this town
