I was hesitant to book this hotel because of some negative reviews but had a very pleasant stay. Friendly clerk checking us in, clean room - though a little tight with the 2 queen beds, good breakfast.
We were very happy with our room. Very nice staff. Very clean room. Breakfast was sausage, eggs, waffles, english muffins, toast, bagels, muffins, yogurt, cereals, cream cheese, milk, juice, coffee, etc. Could use a little tlc but overall we were very satisfied and would stay again
Arrived at 8 pm last night. We had to pay a $300 deposit on the room. The front desk person was very unhelpful when he found out that the date of our reservation was incorrect. Wasn't able to get an accessible room. There was no way to either turn on or adjust the volume on the tv. with the remote. As a person with a disability, the toilet was a nightmare. It was so close to the floor that it was difficult to use. This is definitely not a place that I will ever stay in again.
Internet was cutting in and out, rooms are not soundproof and the beds are uncomfortable. Not worth the price. Front staff are hard to reach and slow… there was no tub either. The sheets were itchy and bedding was think blankets.
The A/C was broken, and even though this was included in the price of the room, and that we did pay for a service that we didn't get, the guy at the front desk refused to do any commercial gesture ... They should take some customer services lessons. The room was not clean and the whole building seems to be falling apart. The breakfast was OK though, and the hotel is conveniently located off the 401, but for a $100+ room, there are much better options in the Brockville area (Super 8 for example)
