Went for a weekend getaway with our son and his family. Got a unit that could accommodate us all. It was clean and well appointed. The staff was great at check-in and we left before the office opened.

The restaurant was not open while we were there, but was opening in mid-August so that will make the experience even better. We had eaten there before, but had not stayed.

Found this quite by accident, it came highly recommended by a local. The restaurant has a patio right on the river and a lot of the clientele arrived by boat. Perfect evening spent watching river traffic and sunset.

Great location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable spacious cottages. We will certainly revisit. It’s very close to beautiful scenic spots and amazing sunsets. Only thing we found unpleasant is there was some rotten food in the microwave they probably forgot to clean.

I booked a weekend stay last winter (March 2020) for the 2020 August long weekend, and they took a deposit of 50% upon booking (over $800). By May, it was apparent that due to COVID, this weekend stay was no longer going to be possible. I emailed management and received an email containing their COVID policy, which stated I'd receive a full refund for the deposit.

I heard nothing further from them until July, when I reached out to confirm the refund. I was told that they were waiting on clearance from their insurance company and I should receive the refund "by the end of the week."

Nothing until September, when I reached out again to ask where the refund was. Again, I was given an apology for the delay and told the refund would be completed "by the end of the week."

October - I send an email and receive no response. November - another email with no response. February - another email and no response.

In March of this year I finally received a phone call back. I was told that they had apparently sent the refund to the wrong credit card number and needed to look into it. I left my phone number and email with them and was assured that I would be hearing from them within the next few days with an update.

I have tried to be patient and understanding, given that this is not a large resort and that this past year has been tough. It is now May 2021, a full year since I was told I would be receiving my money back and I am still left completely in the dark. I am frustrated, angry and entirely out of patience with the staff.

I do NOT recommend making a booking here and giving them your deposit money in the event that COVID once again ruins summer plans.

Just had the worst experience of all time with Patterson Kaye Lodge for thanksgiving. We booked a group of 40 and spent a lot of money supporting the business. I have a special needs child who was upset for literally 30
Seconds and the owner Mary Came over and told us we needed to leave. She scolded a 4 year old with special needs (autism) and made him feel awful and unwanted. My husband had to leave in the middle of eating with our two kids and take them home. I worked at this restaurant 2 months ago and assumed I’d expect nothing but kindness and understanding as they knew me on a personal and professional level. I also talked highly of this restaurant to my family which is why we decided to dine there in the first place. Long story short this establishment discriminates against disabled people and children. I’d highly recommend never going there if you have children or someone with special needs. It literally ruined my families thanksgiving. I will never dine there again nor will I recommend this place. Servers are nice but the owner clearly doesn’t know how to run a business or treat customers. I also never write bad reviews about businesses even if I had a bad experience. Discriminating against a child is where I draw the line. To top it off I mentioned the issue to multiple employees and they did nothing to try and correct it.

Happy thanksgiving!

Very clean, although slightly tired looking resort. Went as a family to enjoy the proximity to Santa’s Village however upon arrival, and much to the dismay of our children, we were told both the pool and hot tub were broken due to damage over the winter. We went in prime tourism season and with plenty of time to have fixed the facilities (or update their website to include hot tube AND pool being under repair). Despite being apologetic, there was no offer for compensation or discount.

Very limited stock of kitchen supplies (one flipper, no spatula, no plastic wrap, etc.) despite claiming fully stoked kitchen. Water is not potable so don’t forget to bring your own before staying at a very pricy place, with no wifi in cabins, limited restaurant menu and not very kid-friendly menu options. We could also smell sewer which brings into question if gray water was going in the ditch nearby.

Despite the major disappointments with the lack of transparency re: accommodations, we had a lot of fun. Definitely would have booked elsewhere if they would have told us the pool was broken when we had inquired before booking. I would like to say though that the owner was incredibly kind.

Our Group of 8 enjoyed a delicious Sunday Morning Breakfast at the PK Seasons Restaurant yesterday. We called at 9am and requested a table for 8 beside the fireplace. Food and Service both top notch ! We were gathering for our Sisters Birthday and they surprised her with a lovely piece of carrot cake/cheesecake complete with candle.
Carmela and Steve made our visit most enjoyable and we are planning to return with our friends.

Stayed here with a group of friends for Xmas 2018. We travelled from the UK 6 adults and 3 children as part of a 2 week trip taking in Niagra falls, Toronto , Blue Mountains and Sarnia / Point Edward.
Best Xmas experience and setting we could have wished for, snow in abundance, first white xmas I can remember for years. Cabin was so well appointed with roaring log fire and outdoor BBQ for really having a bit of great outdoors, even though it was minus 15 degrees C.

We stayed at Patterson Kaye Resort from July 30th to Aug 3rd and had an absolutely wonderful stay.
There was a family group of 15 of us staying in different cottages. The Abbey cottages were spacious, clean and cozy.
The staff in both the resort and restaurant were both accommodating and pleasant, always smiling and stopping to chat and see how we were doing.
The pool was closed but was not the fault of the resort. Having the beach, trails and water activities was more than enough to keep the adults and kids happy and busy throughout the day.
The grounds and scenery are beautiful and you can see the work they are doing to make the resort an even better space in the years to come. Ourselves and family will definitely be back and anxiously awaiting our next summer getaway.

We were incorrectly charged for taking two pillows and when calling to get this corrected, the manager called my wife a lier and hung up on us. What a way to leave a bad impression on an otherwise good week’s stay. Very sad that we now need to dispute this charge with the credit card company and leave a bad review, but this manager/owner’s rude behaviour is unacceptable.
