Me and my friends booked this motel for a night on a motorcycle tour. There were no other options for accommodations in Bancroft so we had to take this.

First off, the motel is very expensive for just a cheap hotel, not "cheap" as in price but in the quality.

There is no receptionist over night. We were advised we can only contact them till 11 PM. I called, there times, with some inquiries at 9 pm, no answer. I gave up.

Rooms had a bad odor of smoke and mold. Furniture is old and damaged, doors are beat up, the balcony door was missing the handle, a piece of string was acting as a knob, not only my room, my friends' as well.
There is a TV but bad cable signal, no digital cable, all (few) channels were fussy, couldn't even watch the weather forecast.

Balcony door and windows are old and they seal the loud highway noise. There is this odd extra step from the room to the balcony, not even Code, so dangerous, one of my friends tripped onto it and hit his knee.
The bath is small, there is barely any room to sit on the toilet being too close to the bath tub. Shower worked but the bathtub has seen better days, lot of chips in it!

There is a small fridge, so loud, i had to unplug it over night. There was a coffee makes with 2 bags of Red Rose tea, thank you for that. That get the 2 stars!

Well-located and relatively expensive hotel offered musky carpet stink, not functional fridge and heater, low quality signal on TV. General lack of upkeep seen everywhere. On the other hand, room was clean, sheets were spekless... no dust or webbing... cleaners did their job well!

No ice, not really clean (bugs smeared on the walls) no breakfast and noisy. The tv was sketchy and turned green and paused itself quite often. What more can I say. I could hear people stomping up the stairs to the higher level and voices in the adjacent room. The light on the air conditioner shone all night and between the noise and the light I didn’t get much sleep. Don’t think I’ll return.

We spent the night this past Saturday and this place is by far the most discusting place I have ever spent the night. The ceiling was falling apart with water stains everywhere the room had a very bad musty smell to it and the bathroom shower certain was full of mold and so dirty that we did not even take a shower because of it. Plus the bathroom floor was full of water twice I took a towel to try and dry off the floor but the water was coming in from behind the moulding and behind the toilette. I could not sleep due to the smell of the room and finally at 5am I told my husband we are getting out of her..It cost us 165 dollars for a room I would not even let my dog sleep in..Drive the extra half hour and find something worth your hard earn money and stay away from this place....The only good thing about this place is that it is well located and that is it

We stayed one night at the Bancroft Inn and Suites as a family. We had two rooms - one for my father, and one for myself and my two kids. They have two buildings - we stayed in the same building as the office. There are new owners as of October 2020. Our rooms had brand new flooring (carpeting removed a few months ago) and new bedding, and were very clean. The wall unit air conditioner cooled the room down beautifully with outdoor temperature over 30 degrees Celsius. My father said it was the best night's sleep he had had in weeks. If I had to find something to criticize, the bathroom fan was very loud but I would rather a loud, effective fan than an ineffective fan. Wifi was free and effective.

The staff were friendly and helpful both at check in and when we reserved over the phone.

The motel is just down the road from the main strip of Bancroft where you can find McDonald's, Subway, Tim Horton's. It is on the small highway but I didn't notice the noise in our rooms.

We are in the area every summer and will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The rooms in the office building have new flooring. I'm not sure about the second building.

What can I say, if it were free, given the choice, I would not stay here again. Better off in a tent! I am surprised the local constabulary hasn't closed them down...must be getting kick backs. I almost crocked in the room the musty, mouldy smell was all encompassing.

Was able to book in advance for family and pet which was great. When arrived, room reaked of tobacco smoke. Latch for lock was gone for additional lock. When we complained, we were afforded another room, but they could not accommodate. Discount for lack of security and smell not offered. T.v. didn't want to work either. Had to use buttons on side of t.v. to make it work. It was late when we arrived, and didn't have an option to go anywhere else for the night. In a punch it worked. Hope they get on the odor and security fixed or they likely will loose business

Very odd accumulation of buildings make up this
Motel. Clean. Very basic. Heating is a bit odd (midwinter visit). Downtown location and in summer I think the view in back would be very nice.

Iffy wifi.

Very nice receptionist who was helpful re restaurants and directions

Would not recommend! We went with a total of 26 people on motorcycles. Room was OK other than the boarded up window (not recent). The parking lot was dangerous,(asphfalt covered with winter road dirt) two people slipped and dropped their bikes. Three credit cards were compromised in the group with no common usage point other than the hotel.
