Stayed for 1 night with my husband and two teenage boys. Stayed in 2 bedroom chalet. Check in was great...Jane was excellent and very welcoming. Our boys enjoyed the kayaks. This is just a quiet simple getaway for a family to unwind. I would definitely return.

We stay at the chalets at least twice a year. We love it there. It is Super Clean and relaxing. The service is always friendly. I definitely recommend Irwin lake chalets. Beautiful views. Close to Truro and on a beautiful lake. The hot tub is a great addition to two of the cabins.

This was a very clean rustic chalet with the bedroom in the loft overlooking the kitchen and sitting room. It was absolutely beautiful and a great place to relax as there is no wifi or television in the chalet. The chalets were rather close together but it was quiet. The Dept. of Highways needs to fix the road in as... More

Thank you for your review. We understand your frustration regarding the road and we wish Dept. of Highways would help out however the road is not maintained by the province or county but is a community road and maintained by the chalets and a few local residents. It's an ongoing process. ☺️ More

We LOVED Irwin lake. Beautiful, quiet, peaceful and nothing to do besides relax! If you want a break away from the hussle - this is it. Hiking, the views, quaint cottages. We can't wait to return. Our log cottage was perfect. Bbq on the deck, we had our morning coffee there too. The big bath tub was lovely. Very clean... More

We stayed over Christmas in the Rabbit's Burrow with my husband and two dogs. Arrived on Christmas Eve and left the 27th. Very quiet, relaxing stay. First time renting a cottage for the holidays and it was great. Cooked a big Christmas dinner. Cottage had all amenities, (brought my own roasting pot). Beds are extremely comfortable, cottages are clean and... More

We were staying in the area for two days to do some tidal bore rafting and needed a place which held five people and had a full kitchen. Our search led us to the Irwin Lake chalets. We were able to secure a spot in the Rabbit Furrow chalet. This unit was at the end, had two bedrooms with Queen... More

We found the Irwin Lake Chalets to be EXTREMELY clean and well appointed, the kitchen has everything you might need, the cottage floor-plan maximizes use of space, the bed was comfortable, the owners and staff were warm, welcoming, helpful, accommodating & friendly. The cabin's patio is covered in case it rains, the cottage includes a reading nook w/books and games.... More

This was expected to be one of the highlights of our month long trip around Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. A chance to be immersed in nature at an isolated and tranquil spot so we could relax on our busy itinerary and have a chance to spot any wildlife. We had traveled all the way from New Zealand where we have... More

First of all, we would like to apologize to the family reunion group for having your 'parenting' criticized publicly on Trip Advisor. As a business, we found your group to be very polite and respectful of our 10pm quiet time and it was a joy to see your children out enjoying the fresh air. It's unfortunate that you were made...
